Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont
I have that as a film on DVD hollysteers starring Joan Plowright who played her part superbly. My late mum bought it for me. It was one of the last gifts she gave me so it has a special place in my heart. I watch it usually once a year in the winter time.

Joan Plowright is now 93y I’ve just Googled her.

Too late for Good Morning but just wanted to wish Mick all the best for your op.

Lovely sky photos and beach/Arran View scene. Good to read of signs of spring - robins etc- even if there is snow on the highland hills.

I’m been dog sitting the last few days - it’s a bit like having a new baby in that it seems to take up all my time! It was good to have walks with bouncy companions 🙂.

I have a list of things I want to do before our next trip to East Lothian to spend time in our flat near to DD2 and family. Today it is finish a batch of marmalade and making myself fill at least one box with books for Oxfam. I must also throw out a collection of gardening articles saved from magazines as part of (yet another) declutter. I never look at them but when I try to dispose of them they suddenly become essential reading 😱

Hope your DH makes that call to the GP, LadyLFL. Why are they so stubborn? (husbands/men in general, I mean, not GPs).

Glad to hear baby is out of NICU Susan.

Marydoll I hope you get your trip to The Range tomorrow.

Best wishes for all outings and projects today and thinking of those struggling.

Had a dental appointment mid morning and felt very lucky I was able to get a parking space in the nearest car park. When I returned to leave, pulled out into the central aisle awaiting another car to move into a space. He/she obviously changed their mind as to which space to use - promptly reversing at full speed towards my car!! Full blast on my car horn but they still kept coming, until another horn blast stopped them! No apologies, just carried on trying to get parked in the chosen spot! 😡What is it with some drivers today. Get so mad when people don't use indicators or lights when needed!!
