Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start and maybe a bit chilly outside this morning in brackley .
I had some disappointing news last night , received a call from the JR in Oxford to say my planned operation has been cancelled with reasons as well.
I get breathless being one of them and also being anaemic, in the case of the later they are going to arrange an iron infusion or other .
I know getting breathless is maybe due to the cold air , if out walking I tend pause every so often .
But today Bicester on the bus as usual ,and the thought of not having to stick to a regime this Sunday of not having to only drink liquids and a light breakfast .
Take Care,
Mick

Georgesgran I hope there were no repercussions to your neighbours ridge tile’s descent.
It happened to DD some years ago in gales two days before they were due to drive down from Birmingham for her sisters wedding. Only this time the ridge tile smashed through the sun roof of her BMW X5 completely showering the interior with broken glass, destroying the roof, the electrics and causing (I exaggerate not) £000’s worth of damage. If she had been just 5 minutes earlier out of the house she would have been in the car (and possibly the 3 children too)
Terrifying

I think if one lives alone that’s a very sensible suggestion aggie. A few months ago I suggested my 90y old stepfather keeps his mobile in the pocket of his trousers in case he has a fall in his bathroom or garden shed. Better safe than sorry.

Good morning from at present sunny Harrogate
So sorry Mick that the plans have been changed- so disconcerting
That was some train journey Ashcombe. Reminds me of when I travelled between Aberdeen and Harrogate. Some pretty hair raising trips!
That the worst of being later posting, so many more posts to read and forget!
We are just off for a trip to Ripon after a cup of coffee. The pancakes went well yesterday. We were all stuffed! The DGC had squirty cream on theirs, yeugh!!
Have the best day possible folks

They are the neighbours from Hell (well, not quite) Maw. They don’t bother with the house or garden and there are 7 adults with 7 cars and parking for only 4.
It’s 10 years since and the ridge tile slid down the roof, but it lodged over a bedroom ridge - hard to explain without a picture, but had it fallen it would’ve gone through his car.
Since then I’ve watched birds going in and out and wondered if snow and rain would get it too.
When my ridge tiles came off this time last year, I’d popped out to get some biscuits, otherwise it would’ve been carnage - they landed exactly where my car had been parked 10mins earlier.

A late good morning from sunny S Lanarkshire. Having managed to get organised (including mass as my Lenten effort) I am now on the train to Glasgow en route for a weekend in Dunoon. I stay with my lovely sister and brother in law and if these blue skies continue it will be a real treat.

Had a mad conversation with the ticket seller at the station who explained that using a Disabled rail card would be cheaper than my Strathclyde travel pass if I got a return but I couldn’t get a return for this journey, only two singles. We both agreed that this is Scotrail at its best!

Sorry to hear about your op being deferred again Mick, but at least it’s for a good reason

Wishing everyone a good day 🦩

Good morning everyone. A mix of cloud and sunny intervals in this corner of Lancashire. That’s a shame about your operation Mick, I hope things can be resolved soon. I’m glad to see you feeling more optimistic Marydoll, enjoy your visit to The Range.
Happy Friday to all 🦩🦩🦩
