Good Morning Everyone,
Dark but looks dry and cold outside here in brackley .
I feel a little better this morning , this might be because I drank a full carton V8 vegetable juice, it may have helped my system .
Today I will hopefully bus it to Bicester this morning, plus do some small chores first .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, a damp start here in Wiltshire.
Nothing much happening here, just as well because I am sleeping very badly, I have no idea why!
Never mind, onwards and upwards!

Ashcombe Thu 02-Mar-23 06:06:53

Good morning from a cloudy and chilly Torbay, thanks to the N.E. wind. Sunshine is forecast for this afternoon.

I'm glad the vegetable juice has helped you, Mick; perhaps being more hydrated is what you need.

Yesterday, a quiz was enjoyed at Wednesday Club, organised by a member who enjoys running them for us. Sadly, he can no longer act in plays due to his wife developing dementia which prevents him leaving her in the evenings. He kindly helped with the tedious locking up of the theatre at the end.

I hope today brings you a reason to smile. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a dark E Kent. The lack of light doesn’t seem to have bothered the resident robin, carolling away. Having said this, the days seem to have suddenly got longer, haven’t they.
I’m glad the V8 made you feel better, Mick.
I’ve got Spanish today. I haven’t done my homework, my mind is full of other stuff and I can’t concentrate. If this carries on (which I think it will). I probably shan’t attend any more classes.
Yesterday was full of phone calls, letters, emails and texts for this, that and the other, mostly relating to removals. The people who had looked at my furniture have decided they don’t want it. I now need to call Emmaus or the Salvation Army to take stuff. The sofas are always a problem with this fire certificate thingy…
Hope the things weighing on your minds become less so. Have a good/better day.
Carpe diem/horam 🦩🦩🦩🦩❤️

Good morning from a cold, starlit south Cornwall where it promises to be sunny later. New vinyl being laid in my kitchen today, after which I can restore my small flat to some semblance of order. Farmer's market just down the road on Thursdays so I'll go and buy my organic veg from there. A friend and I had coffee outside at a Pier cafe yesterday, joined by a hopeful, but ultimately disappointed (hmph, no cake, just coffee) beady-eyed gull at the next table.

karmalady Thu 02-Mar-23 06:27:19

Good morning, a lovely sunny cheery day ahead

I shall be in the garden, well wrapped as it is still cold but I need to carry on excavating in a raised bed, stones and rocks need to be removed for carrots. I will need my gorilla bar. I like doing this, an easy way to keep using my muscles. I kneel on a foam kneeler, love this grounding to earth

Yesterday morning was very positive and satisfying. The chiropodist was good and my feet felt nice, then the group talk in town (tiny town) was very inspiring and I will be joining. The people I met were interesting and chatty. Just one group will do for me as they meet often and have regular trips to interesting places. It has taken me a long time to find a group like this

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m still in bed - no need to get up at such an ungodly hour! My cleaners will be here later. They had to miss their last visit as we had the decorators in. OH has a blood test (potassium levels) at noon and then we will attempt the Vet. After last week’s shenanigans with Milo doing a runner at the crucial time, we will be more on the ball. It’s my turn to cook, but I’m not sure what yet as I’m going to a Lent meeting in a nearby village in the evening. I do hope that all of you who are despondent have a better day.

Susan56 Thu 02-Mar-23 06:48:28

Good morning from Shropshire.

Yesterdays funeral for my young friend was a very moving service and the perfect tribute to a beautiful soul.

Today is my birthday but business as usual as H will be here in about half an hour.Playgroup this morning then school pick up later and finishing off with an Indian takeaway with the family this evening.

The children enjoyed St David’s day or Whales day as Henry thought🐳🐳🐳M got highly commended for her creative writing at the Eisteddfod so was a very happy girl.

Urms💪🏼💐

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Ashcombe Thu 02-Mar-23 06:58:33

Happy birthday, Susan56! 💐🥂🎁

Grandmabatty Thu 02-Mar-23 07:05:30

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and cloudy. Susan a happy birthday to you from me. Enjoy your Indian meal later. Grandmattie it's such a palaver getting rid of stuff, isn't it?
Yesterday I got good news at the opticians. I don't have glaucoma, just thick corneas! That explains the higher pressure reading. My peripheral vision is excellent. Then I visited my friend and we sorted out her death announcement for the newspaper and other stuff that she wanted done. She didn't want her partner or ex husband to have to do it. I was honoured to help her, although it really upset me but I tried not to show it. In the afternoon I roasted a chicken but over baked the rice pudding and burnt it as I fell asleep. Very annoying.
Today is my dd's birthday. I'll go o to see her with her gift later on as she's working. I have the last art class of this block today too. Plenty of chicken left for dinner later. Have a good day all.

kittylester Thu 02-Mar-23 07:05:40

Good morning all from a very chilly (2°) North Leicestershire.

Had a great catchup with dragonfly yesterday - it was so nice to see her.

This morning I am helping at a Memory Cafe in town - apparently we are doing seated yoga.

Sainsbury's delivery later.

Have a good and worry free day.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 02-Mar-23 07:07:30

Good morning from the South Downs. Another cold day but sun is forecast which should cheer things up.

Dog looking smart after his trip to the groomers. DH always collects him and he dashes into the house to me and prances around as if to say “look at me”

It’s my turn today, and off to the hairdressers this morning.

Shopping delivery early afternoon and that’s it planned for the day.

Sea bass fillet with spicy yogurt crust, green beans and broccoli for dinner.

Enjoy your day one and all.

mick keep up the fluid intake
ug I notice someone saying to be strong - so I send my good wishes if you are needing to be strong over something.

Grandmabatty Thu 02-Mar-23 07:18:19

I forgot to wish Brook safe journey to Cambridge and hence to Spain. Have a lovely time.

Beechnut Thu 02-Mar-23 07:27:30

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s cold but I can see some blue sky so that’s cheery.

Happy Birthday Susan enjoy your takeaway 💐🎂

I’m crafting this morning. Yesterday I tried once again with embossing powders. I’ve not got the knack for it yet so I’ll keep trying. I’ll probably go shopping this afternoon so that I can sort out some old paperwork tomorrow.

Have a good day all 🦩🌼

Marydoll Thu 02-Mar-23 07:33:00

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, where its 2°C.

Yet another restless night and I wakened with yet another bad headache.
A quiet day ahead, my energy levels are still very low.
Yesterday, I went into to potter in the garden, but only lasted half an hour, before giving up, due to dizziness. Grrrr!

Thats great, Mick, that you are trying to look after yourself and stay hydrated.
However, V8 apparently has a high salt content, so be careful, of how much you drink.

Happy birthday, Susan!

You must be so relieved, GMBatty!

Have a good day folks.

Urmstongran Thu 02-Mar-23 07:33:04

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry but looks chilly out. It’s World Book Day today and I know the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss will be excited to set off in their costumes for the childminder around now. She walks them up the road to school after an hour at hers.

Today is a sad anniversary as five years ago this morning my lovely mum died. We will go over to my stepfather’s house so he’s not on his own and all raise a glass to her and share some happy memories.

Himself was delighted with Man. Utd’s performance last night. He’s still snoozing. The days are creeping closer to Monday when he has his appointment for his test result.

Gingster Thu 02-Mar-23 07:35:55

Good morning all and the cars have a light layer of frost on them, here in Essex.

Happy birthday Susan. Have a lovely day. 🎊.

A day of waiting around with DD as she has a consultation with her specialist. Hopefully a scan and update on her treatment. 🙏.

I’ve woken with a stiff neck which is very annoying!

Take care all 🌷

Forsythia Thu 02-Mar-23 07:36:50

We have thick frost again here on the south coast. The grass is pure white and all the bulbs have drooped over. So much for spring! Today, a day of sorting out summer clothes, disposing of some to charity and ebaying of others. We accumulate too much stuff I think and as our lives change, then the clothes we need change with us. Later, if it warms up, a quick weed of the garden beds where possible.
Have a good day one and all, where you can.

BlueSapphire Thu 02-Mar-23 07:42:25

Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton, feeling chilly out just now when I popped out with the food waste bin, but may see some sun later.

Felt pleased with myself yesterday as after an afternoon of head-scratching at the laptop, I finally worked out how to transfer photos from my phone to the laptop! Apparently I had to do something to my phone first to enable the process, which I had no idea of. Anyway, job done.

Out early this morning as I have an appointment at the bank with my 'personal manager'. I shall take everything she says with a pinch of salt. I shall probably miss one of my dance classes, because I shall then need a bit of lunch, but should be able to get to ballet.

Then home in time for a Sainsbury's delivery. May have gammon and pineapple for dinner tonight (if Sainsbury's deliver the pineapple!).

Happy birthday 🎂 Susan! Have a lovely day. flowers

Wishing all a good day.

Marydoll Thu 02-Mar-23 07:43:39

Dollie's school have decided not to ask children to dress as their favourite book characters, due to the cost of living crisis, the financial cost put on parents to find costumes and the competition to outdo each other.
So, an alternative has been found, a pyjama day.

I remember my school having one and even the staff, including myself dressed up.
Unfortunately, I had been organising to have some additional internet ports installed throughout the school and the contractor unexpectedly turned up to discuss it.
Much to his consternation, I was dressed in pyjamas and a dressing gown.

cornergran Thu 02-Mar-23 07:47:25

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear corner of Somerset.

Once we extracted ourselves from horrible traffic yesterday was enjoyable. We visited old haunts and enjoyed a very good lunch.

Change of plan today. Rather than a day of chores we’ll head off for a beach walk, grocery shop on the way back before dust removal this afternoon. My admin can wait until tomorrow.

I do need my Miss Marple head on first for a needle in a haystack hunt to track down whoever called me from a hospital yesterday. Mr C answered as I was driving. As he struggled to hear he asked the person to call back, she said she would in half an hour, unfortunately she didn’t. I’ve a day ward procedure booked in 12 days, can only assume it’s about that. Wish me luck. Also need to call our flooring supplier as apparently our choice is unavailable at the moment. We can wait if it will be back in stock fairly soon.

Wishing susan a very happy business as usual birthday. 🎈. Enjoy your takeaway later.

Sounds as if hydration is key mick, keep it going, lots of water. No wonder your head is full grandmattie, why not take some pressure off where you can.

A sad day for you urms along with other worries. A hug on its way. Can I come to dinner whitewave? That’s my sort of meal.

Gently does it marydoll. Pleased your eyes are no longer a worry grandmab

Best get on if we’re to have that walk. Take care everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

dragonfly46 Thu 02-Mar-23 07:51:00

Good morning from cloudy Leicestershire.

It was lovely meeting up with kitty and seeing her look so well. We will have to meet up again soon though as we still have a lot to talk about.
In the evening it was NWR and we all took our oldest books. It was very interesting especially seeing books from the 19th century. Also we had a new member which is always good.

Today I have a 45 minute appointment at the dentist - enough said.

Happy Birthday Susan.
Sorry to hear you have anxieties Urms peace of mind is such a valuable thing. I hope your worries are unfounded.

Wishing everyone a good day.

brook2704 Thu 02-Mar-23 07:51:40

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve light grey cloud with some sun peeping through
A very Happy Birthday to Susan and to your DD grandmabatty ! 🎂🥂🎉
Today I’m finishing packing and cleaning the house etc as we’re away tomorrow to see DD1 in Cambridge for the weekend and then onto Spain on Monday. Thanks grandmabatty for your best wishes, it’s another little adventure for us
Hoping your DDs consultation goes well today Gingster
A sad day urms 💐
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

dragonfly46 Thu 02-Mar-23 07:52:28

I hope your DD gets the reassurance she needs today Gingster.

Taichinan Thu 02-Mar-23 07:54:23

Good morning Mick and all from another brightish grey morning on the Angus coast. With everything else you have on your mind just now grandmattie I'm not surprised that your brain isn't wanting a Spanish class! That sounds like a good group for you to join karmalady.
A difficult task with your friend Grandmabatty - it must feel very surreal. But good news about your eyes.
I too noticed that re Urms - I must have missed something recently - so I do hope everything is alright there.
Today is Tai Chi day - it does come round very quickly these days. No idea what I shall teach, but something will crop up. Next Tuesday I'm taking on another class as well. They are a very small group who have just finished Beginners', so a very different prospect from the Thursday group who have been doing it for years. I'm looking forward to it.
This evening I am meeting DD and DGDs for supper in Dundee for a little family meet-up. It gets harder and harder to get everyone together in one place - they all have such busy lives. Not looking forward to driving home in the dark though. But the car should know its way by now!
Have a good day everyone x
