Good Morning Everyone,
Dark but looks dry and cold outside here in brackley .
I feel a little better this morning , this might be because I drank a full carton V8 vegetable juice, it may have helped my system .
Today I will hopefully bus it to Bicester this morning, plus do some small chores first .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from the Black country where a few bits of blue are showing through the clouds.
Shopping today and after 2 nights of eating out I have to cook this evening DH will have his fillet steak, I'm undecided not being a lover of steak.
Happy birthday Susan enjoy your takeaway.
flowers Urms
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast.
I was surprised yesterday to be given an appointment at the hospital rather than my surgery around the corner for an eczema problem. Just go to A&E they said, just by there. So for a routine appointment I drove out of town. The NHS is in a strange way…
Early night for me after dropping off to sleep in the chair last night with the cat on my lap. Sadly my heated throw has given up the ghost.
Tonight by train into city for symphony concert, nearly sold out and I’m having to sit at the side as I only like the front stalls.
Keep drinking healthy juices Mick and thoughts to all with worries.

Good morning all.
I am off to a toddler group this morning with littlest DGS. His brother is off school sick today and DD has been up much of the night with him. Poor boy is very upset that he will miss World Book day.
Thursday sewing group this afternoon.

Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

Happy birthday Susan and also Grandmabatty’s granddaughter.

Good luck wishes for your DD gingster.

Great to hear of Gransnetters getting together. Stilllearning and I had a lovely natter the other day.

Edinburgh today but it will be a little different as DDoutLaw has gone back to work and DS is now on parental leave. It will be interesting to hear how that’s going.

Wishing everyone the best day possible especially those feeling under par for whatever reason.

DD left me yesterday and the house is quiet again. I have a practice for the forthcoming visit by the bishop and then a trip to the ballet - Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty - so a busy day. In fact the last week has been full and a quiet weekend will be welcome. There is plainly no pleasing me.

My sympathy, granMattie, disposing of one’s household goods is so painful and hard, and landfill seems an immoral choice if stuff is still usable. The next weeks will be tough.

A cloudless sky beckons so I need to get started. Hope we all have a good enough day.

Taichinan Thu 02-Mar-23 08:11:52

Happy Birthday Susan.
Now I understand, Urms. I hope the results bring good news with them. Also flowers for you as you remember your mum. Yesterday was the 6th anniversary of my sister's death. I hadn't been remembering it, but as I was looking through some old Mother's Day cards I found an envelope which had been misplaced with them in which were my favourite photos of her that I passed round the gathering after her funeral. She's still giving me a nudge - even from the other side!
Safe journeys Brook and enjoy your holiday in Spain.

Good morning from a cold, sunny Colchester. Slept late this morning. I shall change the bed and get the sheets on the line. No other plans apart from a grocery shop. Having DS home for a week means food disappears as quickly as I buy it.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning all from a chilly but sunny Suffolk. Happy days for those celebrating today and gentle thoughts for those with worries and concerns.

Off to my stretch class in less than an hour and then lunch with an old business partner. We have known one another for over 35 years and have seen our children and now grandchildren grow up. It will be good to catch up.

Must get a move on. Best wishes to all.

Sar53 Thu 02-Mar-23 08:13:58

Good morning from a frosty Essex by the sea. A straightforward although long journey home yesterday.
Happy Birthday to Susan and hugs to Urms.
Lots of washing to do and a visit to the supermarket this morning.
I hope Thursday is kind to everyone xx

Jaxjacky Thu 02-Mar-23 08:13:58

Morning all from sun and frost in S Hants. A Happy Birthday to you Susan56 🎂🎉🎈I enjoyed mine yesterday, thoughtful gifts, a meal out and a cocktail.
Today, back to earth, phone calls, garden bits and washing.
MrJ is still attending the nurse 3x a week, 5 weeks now, hopefully soon finishing.
Enjoy your day if you can 🦩🦩

Taichinan Thu 02-Mar-23 08:18:16

Belated happy birthday Jax.

Grammaretto Thu 02-Mar-23 08:18:27

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A long walk with U3A today. I still have a cold and cough so probably shouldn't be going but staying home would be worse.

Happy Birthday Susan. Enjoy your special day.

Safe travels to Brook . Cambridge is so lovely and you have DGC there!

Good wishes to all of you

Gala Thu 02-Mar-23 08:38:16

Good morning from an overcast & damp Sefton.
No Zumba class for me this morning as our instructor has Covid - again. A visit to the local garden centre instead I think then a bit of pottering in the garden. I try to do a little bit everyday as it's still too cold to be out there any longer. As well as the protesting knees.
When we downsized grandM we were extremely lucky to come across a small local charity in a nearby town that had a furniture shop & were happy to take all our excess furniture & white goods. It was such a load off our minds. 🤞that Emmaus can take your furniture.
Happy birthday to Susan & ((hugs)) for those of you that may need one.

Good morning Mick and everyone from showery Carlisle where it's also rather nippy.
Yesterday, my boiler got its annual service, by my usual Mr Cheerful rather than last years Mr Grumpy. We had a discussion about my very hot sitting room radiator and he found the boiler hot water supply to the radiators was set at max. He turned it down all of 10C and it was still keeping the room as warm as normal last night. That should save money though I'm not so much bothered by that as by the thought of wasting gas.
Today, the ironing awaits and still a bit of admin, it never ends.

Good luck with clearing your house grandMattie, I know it's not easy. Have you a British Heart Foundation furniture store near you? They also take away your furniture, though they can be picky and you still need those fire resistant labels on it. I also used Freegle and sold things quite easily on Gumtree.

Happy Birthday to you Susan, I hope you have an enjoyable day.
And thoughts with all of you having a challenging one.

harrigran Thu 02-Mar-23 08:54:48

Good morning from a damp NE where it is 5 degrees.
Yesterday's shopping trip was successful, no problem with fruit and veg so we got everything we wanted.
SIL got an email to say his parcel had been delivered with a photograph of his bin, he had to scoot off home to rescue it as it was teeming with rain. Why do they not read the instructions?, it was supposed to be delivered to a post office.
Today is a quiet day for me, may be tidy some cupboards and get the rubbish out for the binmen.
grandMattie when we emptied our home in Cumbria I gave the furniture to the Hospice shop, maybe a charity would be interested.
Have the best day you can, flowers for those who are sad.

Greyduster Thu 02-Mar-23 08:58:26

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from an overcast and very chilly South Yorkshire. The heating is on but struggling today. I had a shocking night. Woke up with what felt like sciatica and it kept me awake for hours. It seems to be better this morning. I will go out today if I can stay awake. Need to have a mooch round M&S food, and also get a new light for the oven. First I have to get the old one out which has proved to be a problem in the past. If I can’t I’ll just leave it as I don’t use the oven much these days.
Happy birthday Susan 🎁🎂!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Kalu Thu 02-Mar-23 09:20:13

Good morning from a bright and chilly Glasgow.

A bit more admin to do and a hairdressers visit this afternoon.
I boiled a ham haugh yesterday that had to be used up rather than ham broth, I found my well thumbed recipe for coulibiac I made circa 1980. It’s an easy one. Any selection of meat and veg., leftover or fresh, rolled in pastry.

Urms 💐

Have a good day all.

luluaugust Thu 02-Mar-23 09:30:08

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Off to art group and then the gardener is coming this afternoon so I don't expect much else will get done as he and DH potter round the garden.
Happy Birthday Susan

Good morning from a lovely sunny Co Armagh, even though my weather ap says it is raining !!!
Local History meeting tonight , the speaker is indisposed so one of the committee is redoing a talk he gave ages ago , not sure if I was there the first time so I’ll go along anyway

GrannyGravy13 Thu 02-Mar-23 09:38:35

Morning all

Pleased you are feeling a tad better Mick

Birthday wishes to Susan and grandbatty’s DGD

(((Hugs))) to my dear Urmstongran

Gingster fingers crossed for your DD appointment later.

If I have missed anyone’s troubles or special events (((hugs)))

Late to the party today, I went to bed feeling a bit off which I put down to consecutive nights out (and more to come this week) woke up around 3am feeling as if I had been kicked in the face by a horse then realised it was a flipping sinus infection. By the time I has located pain killers and faffed around it was nearly 5am so I am not feeling very sprightly this morning.

My Cleaning Fairy is here at the moment so I am in the kitchen with a restorative latte and more pain killers. I have to reacquaint myself with cooking later, I am thinking lamb chops with lots of veggies and a small amount of creamy mash.

Blossoming Thu 02-Mar-23 09:43:26

Good morning everyone. It’s cloudy and drizzling in this corner of Lancashire. I’m sat up in bed drinking tea after a bad night with an upset stomach. I’m at the hospital tomorrow for more eye examination, strange how my digestive system goes haywire every time … Anyway, hope everyone has a good day. It’s an early start for me tomorrow so will not be able to post.

dustyangel Thu 02-Mar-23 09:46:04

Happy Birthday Susan56. 🎂🥂💐🥳 have lovely day.

Good Morning to you all, it is nice and bright out but still chilly although the temperature is supposed to reach 16° or more later.
I’ve been up once but brought my tea back to bed as DH was sleeping late for a change. I’ve only read as far as Susan’s post so far and will catch up properly after I’ve got going. We’ve not got much planned for today but I need to get some shopping.
