Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , dry and cold here in brackley this morning.
Today , later a small local shop , and have some lunch before an afternoon of cycling on TV.
With the weather forecast getting colder for many , next weeek will be interesting for me .
Take Care,
Mick

A cold grey but thankfully dry start in Oxfordshire. Not a very exciting day planned; cleaning and tidying up, I will prep for a roast chicken dinner for tonight and take dog for a long walk.
Some family health worries are occupying my thoughts so a walk helps rebalance me. Will certainly need to light the fire today as its so grey and chilly.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a grey central London.

Happy Birthday to Grandmachrisy47 🎂🎉 enjoy your day.

We enjoyed the Churchill War rooms yesterday it was fascinating. My DH especially loved it as he studied the wars at school.
We walked and walked taking in all the sights we love.
Last nights meal at the Asian restaurant I loved as I had goat curry and steamed broccoli. DH didn’t enjoy it as he likes bang for his buck and found the portions tiny and so expensive and pretentious. In his words ‘and we are sitting in a basement’ luckily I found it funny and we both giggled the whole time. Thankfully he wasn’t paying.
More walking today, this morning to Liverpool Street area then back over to Covent to do some shopping.
The photos are of St Dunstans in the East which was rebuilt by Wren after the fire but this is all that’s left now and All Hallows by the Tower the oldest church in the city. I love how ancient meets modern with the wonderful Sky Garden building.

Enjoy your day everyone 🌻🌻

Good morning all from cool and dry South Lanarkshire.

Oh Marydoll, how rotten for you, vertigo is horrendous. I really hope today is a better day for you.

Happy birthday Grandmachrisy

I was telling DD about the very annoying women in the cafe the other day. A couple of clicks and she found the photos on instagram, apparently one of them has 144,000 followers! I’ve no idea why, it seems to be photo after photo of this heavily made up woman posing in glamorous clothes in different locations. Can’t quite get my head around it.

Anyhoo we are having a late lunch with DH’s siblings today, it will good to catch up with them, it’s been a few months since we last met.

Have the best day possible everyone.

🎂*Grandmachrisy*. I’m a few miles North of the City.

Good morning from chilly Shropshire🥶

Yesterday was very enjoyable. My nieces baby is beautiful and both are doing well.We called at IKEA on the way home which was pretty grim!DH did a sterling job looking after the children on his own.He collected M from a Beavers trip with H in tow then took them both shopping.

Today we are going to the Gaia exhibition at Chester Cathedral then lunch at our favourite Italian restaurant.

Urms💐

I hope little Dollie is feeling better🧸

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning Mick and All.

It’s pretty chilly down here near Brighton.

We are half way through looking after our DGSs, their dad is back for the weekend so we do have help. It’s pretty exhausting.
I was sitting on a frozen cold footie pitch yesterday morning from 9.30 wrapped in a rug watching one DGS play his match. He was so pleased we were there, I wouldn’t get hyperthermia for anyone else (other than his bro). ☃️🫧💨

ginny Sun 05-Mar-23 08:07:49

Good morning.
We have a few good items to purchase once the shops are open and then we have smallest DGS for the afternoon. His brother is being taken to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is very excited and is going to wear his Willy Wonka outfit .

We will probably pay a visit toMIL for a cup of tea, she will enjoy seeing her GGS..
Wishing all a good day.

Happy Birthday Grandmachrisy.

Good morning from a grey W Kent. Quiet day today, will cook lunch and carry on sorting out the bedroom cupboards plus a walk later.
Hope your trip goes well gM
Best wishes to all

Happy birthday to GrandmaChrisy

Marydoll Sun 05-Mar-23 08:03:36

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 2°C.

I was very unwell again yesterday and the day was spent lying down, hoping the vertigo would pass. It didn't. sad A waste of yet another day.
I was so keen to tidy up my herb garden, many haven't survived the winter.

Its great to hear of all your plans. Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing.

dragonfly46 Sun 05-Mar-23 08:03:33

Good morning from chilly Leicestershire.

Not much on today - roast lamb for dinner.

Grandmachrisy47 Sun 05-Mar-23 08:02:20

Morning from a cold, grey Co Durham. Jaxjacky, it is indeed thank you, and to cornergran. Lunch with BiL and SiL will be slightly muted, as they had to have their 13 year old dog put to sleep. As they never had a family their dog as been the centre of their home.
Georgesgran, you must be fairly near to me. Hope you feel better soon. March also has lots of birthdays for me. This year including DH’s 80th.
Grandmabatty, I love the Fife coast.
Hope all have a good day, I’ll raise a glass to you all at lunchtime. 😀

Beechnut Sun 05-Mar-23 07:51:07

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Grey clouds here.

I’ve got the washing machine on and hope to give the lawn its first mow today. If it doesn’t get done today it’ll be at least the middle of March before I start as the weather doesn’t look promising.

Yesterday I bought some storage boxes for my decluttering and rearranging and this morning I’m going to a garden centre.

Have the best day you can all and enjoy your roasts 🦩💐

brook2704 Sun 05-Mar-23 07:36:01

Good morning everyone from Cambridge where it looks cloudy and grey
Enjoy your trip gMattie and wrap up warm!
DD1s house is quiet except for two DGSs who’ve just arrived in the bedroom saying they’re hungry. DH has taken them downstairs to get some breakfast and brought me a cuppa. DD1 and Sil are getting a rare lie in!
Yesterday we went into the city centre and enjoyed looking around doing a bit of shopping, a walk by the river and a quick trip to the Fitzwilliam museum. Today DGS is going to the Clip and Climb with his pals as his birthday party. I’m sure they’ll be pizza and cake involved as well as lots of fun!
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

cornergran Sun 05-Mar-23 07:32:50

Morning Mick, morning All. Another grey day forecast for our corner of Somerset.

An unexpected wander out yesterday filled most of the day. Will tackle the sortie into the loft today. We expect a flying visit from our teenagers and their Dad this afternoon, they will re home two unwanted garden chairs.

You’ve done well to find recipients for unwanted furniture gfandmattie. Enjoy your break. If jax is right happy birthday wishes go to grandmachrisy.

Take care everyone. Hope Sunday is kind to us all

Abitbarmy Sun 05-Mar-23 07:29:18

Good morning all from a cold dry North Yorkshire. A terrible nights sleep with lots on my mind. GrandMattie I’ve had two iPads fitted with new batteries at a phone/tablet repair shop in York, there’s sure to be something similar I would have thought in your area or Bristol. They were done in an an hour or two, didn’t even have to be booked in. They had a list of fixed prices for such things. Mine weren’t completely flat but would suddenly ‘die’ and became very annoying.
A quiet day planned today with more seed sowing, potting on etc. Enjoy yours everyone if you can.

Georgesgran Sun 05-Mar-23 07:23:37

Good morning from Durham, after a very disturbed night - coughing.
Thank you all for your kindness yesterday re. the loss of a good friend and my DH’s anniversary - despite a March birthday, it’s not my favourite month.
I’ve promised to look after DGS1 today, he’s such a character and makes me laugh. An additional bonus, is that it gets me out of my house while the decorators work in the lounge. They’ll be here soon, so I need to get dressed and sorted.
Best wishes to all.

Jaxjacky Sun 05-Mar-23 07:20:07

Morning from duo S Hants, 2 degrees.
All good donations gMattie and an honest salesman.
Wise decision karmalady as you weren’t sure.
No plans today, crosswords from yesterdays paper, a walk and roast chicken for dinner.
Is it a Happy Birthday for Grandmachrisy 🎉🎂? Enjoy your lunch.
Have a good day if you can 🦩🦩

Grandmabatty Sun 05-Mar-23 07:13:01

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° with light cloud. Grandmattie dress warm for Bo'ness! It's three miles down the road from me. The views of the river Forth and the Fife coast are wonderful. However snow and ice is forecast.
Yesterday was such a lovely day playing with dgs1. We were in the garden for a while but it was cold. I've had a great time with him.
Today I'm up early because I couldn't sleep. I had an awful night's sleep Dgs1 is still sleeping. I'm having a quiet cuppa and I've put the heating on. We might go to the park later. Steak casserole done in the slow cooker for dinner. I hear a little voice calling. Have a good day all

Mizuna Sun 05-Mar-23 07:06:13

I was mega impressed for a moment there karmalady!

karmalady Sun 05-Mar-23 07:03:42

btw, no I am not going to fit the sink unit. Plumber is booked

Whitewavemark2 Sun 05-Mar-23 07:03:41

Good morning from the South Downs.

Chilly and dull. Yesterday afternoon was spent doing arty/crafty stuff as I can’t get into the garden, and it looks like today will be the same.
Looking at the BBC weather app. March looks to be a cold month -at least until 18th - so spring is very much delayed this year. I’ll just have to catch up.

Boring morning of fridge and oven cleaning before I make it dirty again with a roast.

So roast pork and veg with roasted onions and apple sauce and 1 small potato (diet) shouldn’t have any really.

Enjoy your wintery day everyone, keep warm - hat gloves and scarf weather!
