Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and cold outside here in brackley this morning.
Yesterdays Iron infusion went to plan , I now will get regular top ups .
But the downside yesterday with the weather it did not help my breathing, even the nurses who did the infusion told me to walk so far ,and if a seat available sit down for awhile .
My breathing was noticed in the cafe lucky staff know me , but its just settling the heart down ,and I had not eaten for a good 6 hours due to travel etc.
Today, stay in watch TV ,and let the Iron infusion work into my system .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning Tuesday 7th March 2023
(49 Posts)Good morning from Bo’ness. I haven’t looked out yet, but we were promised frost, and the moon was so clear, that I expect we have…
The journey was uneventful but so long! I found Edinburgh Waverley station not very user friendly and wasted about 15 minutes trying to find the right train then the right platform for Linlithgow where I was being met.
It’s lovely being with DH’s friends even if I don’t know them very well.
Not sure what today holds.
I hope all went well, Urms, that you are feeling ok, Marydoll, and that everyone else with troubles is reassured. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩
Good morning, all, from a calm but cloudy Torbay.
I think many of us are of an age (or with health issues) when we have to be wary of being out on cold days, Mick, especially when we aren’t 100% well. An indoor day is definitely a good idea for you today.
I’m glad you’ve arrived safely, grandMattie, and it will be a pleasant change for you to relax and be looked after for a few days. Enjoy!
A morning with the Props team beckons with a half hour off to give a potential new Toads member a guided tour backstage.
Thoughts with those with worries of any kind. Keep well and warm, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Good morning, there’s snow on the top of cars and the lawns but it’s wet on the road and pavement. Jolly cold too 🥶
A good day yesterday, I cleared out the cupboard under the stairs, that I use as a pantry and chucked out stuff for recycling that’s never used. I also tidied all the shelves so, for once, I know what I have!
Then I tackled a kitchen cupboard and I’ll continue with that today, two more to go. Very satisfying 😊
Keep warm everyone, I hope today goes well for you all x
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently -3°. Waverly station is a mess grandmattie. I'm glad you arrived safely. We're looking at the same frost! Mick take care of yourself.
Yesterday was a long day. Both boys got up too early and were tired and grumpy by afternoon. Dgs2 would not go for a nap in afternoon although he needed one. Dd came in early to get them as a surprise and dgs1 kept crying and saying he didn't want to go home. I felt bad for her but it was because he was so tired. I went to bed at eight as I was tired.
Today is childcare day two but not such an early start. Hopefully the boys have had a good sleep. Have a good day all.
Good morning from Essex by the sea where we have rain and it's also cold.
A trip into town to pick up my new glasses and contact lenses this morning. DH will drop me off and I will get the bus home.
No other plans today.
Enjoy your break GM, what a long journey.
Here's hoping you all enjoy Tuesday xx
Morning from a wet S Hants. Good that’s done Mick.
Enjoy your days away gMattie.
Quiz ran late last night, so I don’t know why I’m up so early. I’ve got admin to sort from my volunteer day, a trip to M&S I didn’t get done yesterday and phone calls to make.
Safe journeys to those travelling.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩
good morning, rain and cold here in s somserset
I had a satisfying morning yesterday, like BB, I sorted out a kitchen cupboard, long reach on -the- floor corner cupboard. I put another storage shelf in there, ex lakeland stored in garage just in case. It made a big difference and now my jugs and things are in rows and not stacked
Satisfying doing other things too, having re-discovered an oxo duster on a stick. Plantation blind -dusting was a doddle. I finished jobs by lunchtime but that was 4 hours with a break. Every day, I always do restful things after lunch such as knitting, tv, weeding when sunny. I hope we get some sun this month, that lovely sun that cheers and is not too hot
Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, its -5°C.
DH has been blundering about since, 5.30am, so I'm wide awake.
His car is going in for its first service and an early start is necessary, because it is two towns away. And in his later years, he gets agitated about things like that.
Mick, perhaps you need to curtail your activities a bit, in light of your breathlessness. Cold weather, is not good for those of us with heart conditions.
No-one is suggesting staying at home, but perhaps pacing yourself a bit and taking a snack with you to hospital appointments..
The advice I have received is, small activities, then a rest. Busy activity, (like going out,) in the morning, then rest in the afternoon.
It was suggested I try the ten spoons trick.
Lay out ten teaspoons or any objects like buttons, matches etc, after each small activity, remove one, then rest.
When they are all gone, you are done for the day.
Thank you all for your kind wishes yesterday, it was a better day thank goodness, made perfect by an unexpected visit from my wee Dollie after dinner.
DS and DIL were concerned at how unwell I was at the weekend, so decided to pop down.
My heart was bursting ( perhaps not such a good idea) with joy!
She has turned out to be a great mimic and had us in stitches with her impersonations.
She had me down to a T, complete with exagerrated hand gestures, arm waving and voice! 😚
I need to pop over to the doctors, which coincidentally, is near the car dealership! I haven't lost my skills in forward planning.
GM, enjoy your time in Bo'ness. I agree about Waverly, so many platforms.
I just wanted to publicly thank the lovely Gransnetter, who messaged me about mobile ear microsuction in my area.
Safe journey Brook! 🛩
Have a good day folks!
Good morning from below freezing Colchester where we have sleety/rain.
Tuesday is charity shop volunteering day.
The King and Queen Consort are visiting Colchester this morning and will drive past the shop so we will go out and wave. I expect lots of people will brave the cold to try to get a glimpse but I'll just look at the pictures later as I prefer to keep warm. I'll have to set off on the usual 15 minute walk in early though as I expect my usual route past the castle will be blocked as that is where the royals are heading.
Love to all 🦩 x
Good morning all from a cold but snowless North Leicestershire.
DH has a full day of volunteer driving and our cleaners are due around lunch time.
Great news from urms yesterday.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Apparently there’s snow. I am having a day in the kitchen. My ice cream stock is low (granddaughter ate quite a lot at the weekend!) and OH would love me to make a Barmbrack. He has a U3A talk this afternoon and his Bee course this evening so I can get on. I also have even more WI admin - the President emailed me a load of stuff last night! There’s an ironing pile too, which threatens to topple over. At least OH does his own. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from chilly Leicestershire. No snow here -yet!
The cleaning fairies are coming soon and I am walking with the neighbours. My gardener may also turn up.
Book club this evening, did not enjoy the book and it was a struggle to finish.
Hope Urms had good news yesterday and pleased to hear Marydoll feels better.
Good morning from my patio in south Cornwall where I'm sitting with a coffee in my cosy purple Dry Robe. Chilly and breezy here. As the gulls fly overhead the early sun catches their undersides, a lovely sight. Varnishing kitchen cupboard doors later but before that an amble down the road to the farmers' market, the library and Wetherspoons, all two minutes away from each other.
Good morning Mick and All.
A grey wet day in West Sussex, it’s our second free day from looking after the DGSs they return tomorrow and we are in charge until Friday morning. We have had many laughs with them both. When DH explained to the 10 year old that his cough was to do with a nasal problem he has, his response was ‘Do all OLD people get that cough’ ?
Good to hear you were entertained by your Dollie Marydoll. 😀
Good morning all from frosty Harrogate
Glad to hear you were brighter yesterday Marydoll hope today is good too.
Yes, The Waverley can be a nightmare GrandMattie hope you enjoy your stay
Today is a very busy day here, I have Art Club in the morning, get bus home and run round the table and bus back for The Tuesday Club in the church hall. Then possibly DGD after school and flaked out in the evening.
Have the best day possible folks
Good morning from Leicester. Sunny out there at the moment, but chilly too.
Mick, do take care and pace yourself.
I had a great swim yesterday, although my knees were giving me trouble in the night.
Off for a dog walk this morning then crafting this afternoon.
Happy Tuesday all.
Good morning all from a dull but mild Black country.
Tickets collected for hols so not long now. We met one of my old work colleagues whom I hadn't seen for 7yrs, very embarrassing I could not remember her name knew all her family names but not hers. I did remember later when we stopped for coffee.
Just a trip to Iceland today its 10% discount day so will stock up with a few things.
Curry for tea.
Enjoy your break grandMattie and glad you seem brighter Marydoll these grandchildren are a great tonic.
Have a good Tuesday everyone and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning all from the Suffolk seaside and we have snow. It’s settled but wet on the paths. It’s very calm and quiet and looks very pretty , with the daffodils hanging their heads.
Yesterday we walked in the forest as it was too drizzly for the beach. Not sure where we will walk today . I’m going to the cinema this afternoon to watch Ladies Talking. I like to go when I’m up here as it’s so easy - 5 minute drive away , easy to park and a lovely little cinema., over 100 years old. Dh will have a nice afternoon doing what he likes best , watching tv without me nagging him about getting up and’doing’ 😂.
GM enjoy your time away and relax for a few days.
Urms your mind will be easier now.
Take care and keep cosy! 🥶
Good morning all from the sunny Scottish Borders.
There's a frost but I don't have to go anywhere today.
Never mind 10 spoons Marydoll I think half that is a suitable number of activities including housework
The Usher Hall concert was terrific last night, especially the junior choir.
Children from throughout Edinburgh can join.
But my return bus had gone so I had to stand at the freezing bus stop for an hour for the next one . should have gone into a bar
I hope you have a lovely holiday in Scotland gMattie
The Bernat Klein exhibition is still on at the museum RMS and a beautiful knitwear show at the Dovecot.
Hope you all have a pleasant day.
Good morning all from cold and frosty South Lanarkshire. It’s a beautiful start to the day.
I’m going to have an X-ray at the drop in clinic today, hopefully it won’t be too busy.
Other than that it’ll be a quiet day, I may start joining my crochet triangles to make bunting.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a bright, clear, very cold South Yorkshire. Going to be a fine day. Not sure what is on the agenda apart from doing my agonising exercises, making a chicken curry to batch freeze, and doing a bit more garden clearing. But at the moment I’m in no hurry to get up!
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning all from an Angus coast which is already demonstrating every type of weather. Heat is in short supply though - it's -1° at present and forecast to rise to the giddy heights of 3°. No coffee on the patio here Mizuna!
Yesterday was a total non-starter for me as I had only two hours sleep the night before. I thought I'd be alright for a few hours and luckily did the tai chi paperwork first. I then collected the aired laundry from the day before and took it upstairs - and that was the end of my productivity! I dozed for the rest of the day and evening and then had 8 hours sleep! I must say I feel better for that today.
Glad your journey went well yesterday grandmattie. I too find Waverley confusing! But you got there, and I hope you enjoy your stay, and the rest.
That was a good suggestion Marydoll for pacing yourself.
So glad your news yesterday was reassuring Urms.
Now off I must trot to take my new Tai chi class this morning and then do my weekly shop. It'll no doubt result in a dozing afternoon 😉
Have a good day everyone, and stay cosy x
Good morning all from a grey, damp W Kent. We have to start the day with getting a prescription for DH but I am hoping to get to our local shopping centre to start stocking the freezer for DH's birthday at the end of the month. I find I need to get a bit ahead of myself to keep up now!
Best wishes to all
