Good morning Mick and everyone from a brilliantly sunny Carlisle where it is -4C currently.
I think the cold will affect your getting out and about this week, Mick? I hope the medics will get your breathlessness sorted soon.
Yesterday I was let down by Tesco deliveries. They didn't. I was texted my lunchtime delivery spot at 7am. After they were nearly an hour late, I started to while away the wait by checking my emails and found they had sent me one soon after 8am cancelling it. Next available slot late Friday evening. Having cancelled this weeks holiday, I'd brought next weeks delivery forward. Fortunately I have plenty of food except for fresh veggies and yoghurts. I wasn't up to driving or I'd have gone to Sainsbury's so it was canned veggies in the tagine. I find this morning that it wasn't just me but thousands of rather cross others.
I'll be able to get my veggies this morning as I've actually been called in for a face to face at the surgery. I managed to get the appointment at the one in the city centre so I could get there by bus if necessary but I think I can drive today. I shall be able to go to M&S for the fresh stuff and drop more books off at Oxfam.
A lovely piece about your GSs Grandmabatty, it's very rewarding to see the young ones enjoying stories and reading. My youngest GS is approaching his teens and is still a bookworm, which I'm very happy to see.
I shall start a new book myself today having polished off my Scandi crime novel in no time, an enjoyable read, especially as it was a free one!
Marydoll your DH must need nerves of steel being married to you!
And, finally, I wish you all the best possible day.
