I know some posters have been wondering where MissAdventure has got to.
I spoke with her this afternoon. She’s been a bit poorly but we had a good laugh.
She sends her best wishes to those who have missed her.

petra I know what it's like to suffer at the hands of doctors and nurses who don't care. I moved to the north west nearly 6 years ago. My whole life changed my GP sent me to see a cardiologist. My old GP never did even though I had heart problems and no medication.

My cardiologist found out I was born with a hole in the side of my heart ,have PAF and should have been on medication for decades . I was 61 when I moved here.

My old neurologist didn't help me . But my GP sent me to see my neurologist at the Walton Centre and he changed my life . I had limb jerks and seizures for 32 years. He put me on a tablet and within 2 weeks my limbs where still..He also sent my blood to be have my whole genome genetically tested. This was January 2020 . Because of covid they didn't send the results and my neurologist forgot ask . But putting on the made tablet made my life better. April 2022 finally found out the rare hereditary neurological condition I was born with I was 63. But having my diagnosis meant I connected with others world wide who had it. My whole life made sense. I was lucky to have been brought with large extended family who didn't treat as different. I grew up on a housing estate and all us kids went to infant and junior school there. They were used to me falling and being in pain all the time . It wasn't until I went to high school found out I was different and bullied for 5 years . And fell up and down the stairs everyday .

When my health got worse in 1988 in hospital for 3 weeks and not allowed to see my children. I had 3 drs one told me I was a fake, another attention seeking and the last one mentally ill. At nurse shouted at me I only had post natal depression. My children where 4 and 8 months then. My husband nothing phased him we had been together since I was 16 he was 18. My father in law called me defective.

My husband said we alter our way of life to suit me and be a normal family. I was born disabled unfortunately my husband had cancer and died aged 47.

I know Miss A has even worse tragedy in her life .

Miss A helped me to fight to get disability benefits I had been denied for 35 years by telling her story and all she had been through . So I didn't give up . With the help of the Brain Charity I went to PIP tribunal they got me a solicitor pro bono. And support worker went with me the tribunal and I won.

I don't think people realise how much they help people by posting on GN. Yes there are some awful trolls who target some forums especially the estrangement forum . But they are soon gotten rid of . But they still manage to get back on but everyone knows who they are no matter what name they use. And it's goes round and round like a hamster wheel.

Good people who are here properly have seen there vicious posts . But the care for Miss A shows there are more good people than bad.

I have noticed if a poster is missing people try to find out where and if they are and if they are ok.

As per usual I ramble on.

But the main thing is Miss A is slowly on the mend 🌹
