The SNP is in a ‘tremendous mess’ apparently.

Since these two stepped down within weeks of one another the SNP seems to be imploding at a rate of knots.

What on Earth is going on? There is so much in-flighting.

I was somewhat shocked to see Volver’s abbreviation for Molly and I don’t believe for a moment that it had the meaning she now claims.

I know.

I'm not a member though, so maybe its not the reason you think.

I don't report unless I'm telling you I'm reporting you. Today's not starting the way you thought it would, is it?

It’s starting exactly the way I thought it would. You proved me right.

volver3 Thu 30-Mar-23 09:05:34

Ah well.

Call out the Double Standards Police, see what they say.

But that is exactly the same as Mollygo’s abbreviation for volver3, isn’t it? She started this, not volver3. It really does need to stop, it’s detracting from the debate.

I'm always one for the visuals, so I checked out SNP bunting.
Isn't it a bit unfortunate it looks like the biohazard sign?

Oh! At first glance it did! Very unfortunate.

I thought mcss meant Union Flag bunting for the GN Coronation party.

My mistake, sorry.

This is all so confusing, what with the rugby at the moment too. I keep changing flags to suit.

I am prepared to be cut to shreds but can i ask snp voters on here why, when, the snp guidance to the courts is that under 25 should be handled with kids gloves because their brains aren't fully developed and therefore don't know their own minds they also think 16 year olds are informed enough to vote and know more than enough to change their gender. I can't get my head round this and am willing to be educated.

Aveline Tue 04-Apr-23 18:26:16

Good question grannypiper. It's one that a lot of people are asking

volver3 Tue 04-Apr-23 18:29:51

SNP guidance?

What do you mean, SNP guidance?

It's legal guidance. Despite what you think, the SNP doesn't do everything that happens in Scotland.

Do you feel educated now?

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 04-Apr-23 18:32:57

Especially after the sentencing of the man for rape of 13 year old when he was 17 …
Perhaps some SNP voters will comment,

volver3 Tue 04-Apr-23 18:45:54

I did.

Ah, you don't like the facts then? Get yourself over to the lenient sentence thread, you'll love it.

Oh, by the way - I've already imagined your response Aveline, don't bother.

I don’t love it, nor do I love your responses to it, you treat the subject as a game by refusing to ever criticise anything that happens in Scotland and you’re the only Scottish GN member that comments that way.

Iam64 Tue 04-Apr-23 20:27:11

Are you wanting to encourage interesting debate, or to provoke, goad and dismiss any comments that don’t fit your world order volver. I’ve looked at this discussion after leaving “the lenient sentence thread”
Here you are again, being rude for the sake of it.

volver3 Tue 04-Apr-23 20:34:09

Can't remember which thread this was on because I've jumped between the two.

Someone said our country had Neanderthal laws and somebody else dismissed my view because they hinted that I wasn't sensible.

That's rudeness for the sake of it.

It is not funny, even if you find it so, volver.

Finding the rape of a child amusing is really strange and quite distressing.

Only someone with a warped sense of humour could find a rape case a source of amusement.

Posters on that thread are trying to debate about what are considered age-related areas of responsibility.

Where's Paddyann when you need her?

I will venture to say that some other Scots Grans have given up in the face of the onslaught of anti-Scottish sentiment that goes on here.

Problem with sentencing because of one judge? Blame the SNP/Scottish Government/Bonnie Prince Charlie/Anyone in a kilt.

Well I don't give up and I don't roll over, either.

Volver and breathe...
😂😂😂

grannypiper Tue 04-Apr-23 21:33:07

Ok, i will rephrase, why, when the Scottish Sentencing Council state that under 25s have no ability to make informed choices do the snp insist 16 year olds know what they are talking about when it comes to voting or changing their gender ?
P.S As a Scottish granny i am not aware of much anti Scottish sentiment on here but i am well aware the rudeness of many fanatics on here.

volver3 Tue 04-Apr-23 21:43:50

What I find on here quite often, is a complete disregard for nuance. It is often suggested that, let's say, nobody under 25 can go to prison and anybody aged 16 who wants to change gender can make irreversible decisions.

I find it odd. Its like everything's black or white, there's no in between. Judgement. There is room for judgement.
