Interest in parents in general. I was discussing when our parents were born the other day with younger friends, and discussed the amazing changes they had experienced in their lives- and the advent of technology. So started a post on when parents were born, quite simply. As several mentionned the age of when parents died in that thread, I thought it would be relevant to start another thread on this subject. Realised some would find it too personal, so put something to that effect in the title.

Scammers? Why? How? Never crossed my mind. As for being bored, thank you, but no.

Maybe it could be restarted in Pedants’ Corner under “Were/where/we’re” confusion?

Without being mean, I suspect the OP is either lonely, bored or just wanting to start posts and is running out of interesting topics.

I think those advising caution have a good point. ⚠️

Who wants to know and why?
I find this prurient interest in personal information rather distasteful.
It could also abet scammers trying to access passwords or security questions.
