Good morning from a bright Bristol.
Goodness, talk about quarts and pint pots! There is barely floor space in the flat. I’m glad I hadn’t planned to sleep there as I have no idea where my bedding is.
The truck didn’t arrive until mid afternoon, but, to their credit, the men emptied it of the five pallets before stopping, even if it meant working way after hours, so that I didn’t have to find a way of getting back for first thing today. In exchange, as they slept in the truck, outside my window, I gave them a key and told them to use the bathroom and anything else they needed.
It was a long afternoon, with DD and the girls unpacking, me bossing the men and helping unpacking. The men couldn’t believe how much carrying I helped them with! We unpacked all the hanging boxes and as many as we could while they were there, but, goodness, it feels like I’ll be unpacking until the end of the year.
One lady from opposite came and introduced herself, but misread the situation, trying to engage us in conversation while we were running back and forth. I’m afraid she may have found me rude, but at that particular time, my origins and so on are not what I needed. That and her apparent glee at the number of boxes and stuff going in, to be housed! Grrr…
The only thing I’m a little anxious about is the Wifi stuff and various cables for pc and tv. Of course, I haven’t a clue where they are. It’ll make for long evenings.
Phew!
May today ring the promised warmth and sunshine into your lives. Carpe diem. 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩
