Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it's 9°C.
I hope you had a good day yesterday Mick.
A busy day ahead, GM, but good to know you made it at long last. Although not cheap, I often pay for the unpacking and taking away of packaging of white goods, saves a lot of stress and pre-empts DH complaining about a trip to the tip.
I would like to thank you all for your good wishes yesterday and to those who took time to message me. It did mean a lot to me. I'm finding life problematic at the moment, annoyed at my lack of control over things and my failing health. This does not sit well with someone, who likes to be in control.
DH is taking me to see Babydoll 😍 today and to deliver DIL's birthday gifts. We have a bit of a problem, there is only one way out and the main road at the entrance to our houses is closed for resurfacing, getting out is an absolute nightmare.
The good news is that, at last, Baby has reached her target weight, putting on all the weight she lost, and Dollie is improving. so that is a huge relief.
There are still some other worries about baby, but we will get there, she is being well looked after.
Yesterday was spent wrapping gifts for both DIL and DD, whose birthday is tomorrow. I reached a point where I couldn't remember, whose was whose! 😕
I have a habit of picking up things for DD in sales, then forgetting about them. So much so, 😚 that I will be holding some back for Christmas and even then she is still getting far too much! 😉
She has been a great support to me and deserves to be spoiled.
My dear pal up the road, Kalu and my other poorly GN friends are frequently in my thoughts, their troubles are far greater than mine.
I will go back now and read all the posts on this gentle thread. I have changed my mantra from, Carpe diem to , the words of a well known song: Die tempore, dulcis Jesu! 😉
Wishing you all a pleasant day.
