Good Morning Everyone,
Yet another clear bright start and dry here with wind from the South East making a little chilly here in brackley .
Yesterday things went to plan as to getting a replacement light bulb for the bathroom .
Today , some housework as I seem to be improving health wise before I get the bus to Bicester and do my usual there .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick it’s to be a windy day here on the east coast of Fife otherwise all is good.

I had the most wonderful day yesterday I went on a short whistle stop tour of my family with my kind carer and while rummaging through boxes I found a pr of binoculars in a leather case, these belonged to my father and my son says he remembers playing with them as a wee boy so he’s getting first dibs at owning them.

I’ll be having a lazy jammy day today glad to hear you’re health is improving Mick have a good day smile

Good morning from a bright South Downs where a fine warm day is forecast.

The dog is waking earlier with the light, so we are out before most of the world has woken, which makes for a peaceful and quiet walk.

Going for jabs today. Have been putting it off for one reason or another, but today nothing planned - vote after the jabs that is all.

Good to hear that your health is improving mick long May it continue.

Spaghetti Bol for supper.

Enjoy your day everyone in the sun.

Morning all from a gloomy S Yorks.

woke early so got up early and will pop to supermarket to get some money and basics as cleaner is coming to help me sort out the garage.
Then rest up - too tired with CFS these days.

Best days for poorlies and family and for outings.

grandMattie Thu 04-May-23 06:44:52

Good morning from my new nest in Bristol.
May the fourth be with you! It would have been my Philip’s 41st birthday today.
I spent yesterday finding my bedroom and kitchen. Done that - mostly.
Next the living room and, more importantly, all the candles gorvwifi and TV.
I’m having a delivery and return if fridge freezer, then off to DD’s for the first of weekly dinners. DSiL goes to band practice at 8 in this direction so he can drop me off.
I hope the weather stays as nice as I have two loads of washing to dry. I shall put my “smalls” out on the line. I wonder if that’ll cause eyebrows to shoot up 😂
Carpe diem and enjoy today. 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Happy Star Wars Day and don’t forget to vote and take along photo ID. Well done GM. May the force be with you! I will spend time today typing up the notes from last night’s WI meeting. I also have to update the data base. Later, OH and I will drive to a beautiful bluebell wood a few miles away. When in full flower it is quite magnificent. Have a good day.

ginny Thu 04-May-23 06:53:35

Good morning.
Smallest DGS will be here for an hour or so this morning and then we will go down the road to vote.
This afternoon I have sewing club.
Otherwise a fairly quiet day and evening.
Hope all those who are poorly are improving and hope everyone finds a smile in your day.

Good morning all and it’s bright and sunny to go with my mood.

Dd got the all clear from cancer yesterday! Oh my what a relief! 🙏.
She will continue to feel poorly while coming off the meds but the result is amazing. Wonderful medicine did the trick.
Thanks Susan and everyone for your support and prayers.
❤️.

Twin grandsons 17th birthday today. They were such little scraps when born but are now handsome 6 footers. 👬.

Glad you’re feeling better Mick
Multi you are always so upbeat. 💐.
GM take your time and enjoy your ‘nesting’. 🏡.

Love to all.🌷

Ladyleftfieldlover enjoy the Clumps. I was there yesterday. The bluebells are stunning. Coffee and toasted teacake at Coleshill after. Very enjoyable. The weather was perfect.

Morning Mick, Morning All. Light cloud this morning.

Thoroughly enjoyed our NT visit yesterday, left there too weary to wander shops though. Off home at some point today. Will wander the harbour and sit with a coffee watching the waves this morning then see how the day goes. No rush to leave.

Take care everyone. Special thoughts for poorly folk. Hope Thursday is good to us all.

cornergran Thu 04-May-23 07:04:00

Wonderful news gingster.

kittylester Thu 04-May-23 07:05:15

Good morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire.

Brilliant news Gingster.

Regular session at the local Memory Cafe today. We are having Coronation celebrations and a sing-a-long.

Have the best day possible.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 04-May-23 07:08:25

Morning all

Gingster what wonderful news you must be over the moon, sending my best wishes to your DD, hope your GS’s have a good birthday 🎂🎉

Busy day here, voting, I need to go to M & S Food Hall. I fancy a mooch at the summer clothes so will probably pop up to Lakeside and then I have a manicure later this afternoon.

grandMattie I do hope you are beginning to feel at home in your new abode 🏡

Have a great day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

mumofmadboys Thu 04-May-23 07:11:53

Great news Gingster. We are going away tomorrow to West Wales on the coast. Llangranog - a favourite place. Packing today. Going to take my wet suit and body board and hope to brave the waves!

Ashcombe Thu 04-May-23 07:12:12

Good morning from a brightish morning in Torbay.

Late on parade as poor DH has been coughing so he decamped to the living room at 4.30 am. Today, we are travelling to Portsmouth for an overnight stay at Travelodge before catching the morning ferry to Ouistreham. We’ll be at DH's home in La Sarthe for most of May.

Many of you sound quite upbeat this morning which is good to read. I’m sure the longer days and increasing warmth must help. My vote has already been cast by post so that’s one thing less to do on a busy morning.

Yesterday, I went to ATS to have the nitrogen levels checked in my tyres. This is a free service once you’ve paid for the tyre to be filled with nitrogen. It suits me as I couldn’t easily do such a task. A miserable, non communicative chap was given the job but he managed an embarrassed expression of gratitude when I tipped him on completion!

Enjoy Polling Day ✖️, the result of which is likely to be overshadowed by the Coronation preparations. 🦩🥰🤴🏼💐🦩

Good morning Mick, morning all from chilly South Lanarkshire.

Glad you’re feeling better Mick.

Fantastic news Gingster.

I’m not sure yet if we’re making the journey to Edinburgh today, DH is in pain with his knee, he may not be able to manage a 90 minute each way trip.

Have the best day possible everyone.

mumofmadboys Thu 04-May-23 07:14:56

Ive never heard of filling tyres with nitrogen. Is this something new and what advantages does it have?

Ashcombe Thu 04-May-23 07:14:57

What happy news about your DD, Gingster! An unforgettable birthday for the twin grandsons! 👍😄💐

brook2704 Thu 04-May-23 07:16:03

Good morning everyone from Inverness where the sky is brightening and I’m hoping for some sunshine later
What brilliant news to start the day Gingster, so very pleased for you and your DD, a very Happy Birthday to your twin DGSs too!
I had a lovely busy day yesterday but today will be much quieter, hopefully I’ll get out into the garden for a while and a trip to the garden centre might be on the cards too.
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 04-May-23 07:17:06

What wonderful news Gingster!

Greyduster Thu 04-May-23 07:17:19

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey chilly South Yorkshire. What a change from yesterday. I am out with the walking group this morning and then DD and I are going to her local garden centre to buy some new perennials for my now empty flower bed. It’s only a small nursery - no frills coffee shops or sundries, but their plants are first class and reasonable and they are very knowledgeable.
Gingster that is just the best news! I’m so pleased for you all. May she go from strength to strength.
Have the best day you can folks.

Ashcombe Thu 04-May-23 07:17:41

mumofmadboys: this article explains it better than I can:-

www.atseuromaster.co.uk/services/tyres/nitrogen-inflation

Apparently, it’s used by F1 drivers!

TopsyIrene06 Thu 04-May-23 07:17:50

Gingster The best possible news.
