Did Harry speak to Princess Anne? Really? I must have blinked.

Did any of GN who are experienced at riding, notice the black horse getting nervous and skittish?
It seemed like quite a long time for the rider to cope with.
Any ideas what caused that to happen?
All the other horses and riders did a good job of not letting it knock the momentum. Well done them.
2)
Did anyone find out why the King's carriage was early and William's and Kate's late?
3)
Close up coverage of the King showed him sounding off to Camilla in the coach.
His head was aggressively nodding. I should think his neck will be aching today with that action and the weight of the crown.
I'm nosy enough to hope some bright spark of a lip reader will tell us what he was saying!
4)
What's the difference if any, between a coach and carriage?
5)
Why did the BBC charge sky and gbnews for footage, when foreign tv news stations transmitted the Coronation for free?
6)
For a split second I felt sorry for Harry, coping with the fall out of his own actions.
Judging by the peoples faces around Harry outside the Abby, he was particularly sharp with Eugenie at one point. Beatrice looked so alarmed at the interchange, I thought I saw the blood drain out of her face before my eyes.
Anyone else pay such forensic attention to minutiae as I did?
7)
I thought the no tiara idea was silly.
Pomp and ceremony was the order of the day.
People got around this, by wearing feathers and flowers and diamante anyway, and it didn't look as regal imv.
Loved to see Charlotte with her circlet.
8)
Lets talk hats. Some people had such big hats on.
Very, very inconsiderate of others sitting behind.
Pippa Middleton, Trudeau's wife, Queen Letizia (beautiful though it was), and largest of all Katie Perry's humongous offering.
Pippa Middleton's outfit did look wonderful though.
Best hat for this type of occasion worn by Princess Charlene of Monaco imv, who looked amazing.
But Top of the Pops was of course, Princess Anne.
That feather is the talking point around the world apparently.
9)
Sorry those who like her outfit, but Penny Mordant I think, should have worn a colour that reflected the clothing of the previous Lord President of the Privy Council.
Black and gold I think.
It wasn't her day to stand out from the crowd.
After all if wearing a uniform was good enough for the Princess Royal.....

Back to Harry, I hope Jack Brooksbank phone was set to record, as Harry was in full swing inside the Abby. Animated, gesticulating, even gurning.
Whilst Jack Brooksbank apparantly took the trouble to obscure his face when answering, Harry seemed to take a lot of pleasure in being as noticeable as possible.
11) Did the pot holes in the road get filled in for this occasion?
I don't think the crown would stay on their heads if they had a road like the one I live on!
12)
Oh and last but not least, I adored the gorgeous voice of Pretty Yende.
Not so much the banana coloured dress, with it's outsized collar. Lacked dignity for the occasion, in my opinion.
And you? What quizzical tiny detail impressed you, or made you chuckle?
Did Harry speak to Princess Anne? Really? I must have blinked.

*Didn’t notice anything about Harry other than him being seated three rows back and looking fed up.*
He was talking non stop to the man on one side or him (Eugenie or Beatrice's husband) and totally ignored poor Proncess Alexandra who was on the end of the row by herself. Not very gentlemanly.
I don’t think I was interested enough in him to notice what he was up to but was pleased that he wasn’t given much attention in the Abbey.
Highlights include Katy Perry searching for her seat with her peripheral vision obscured and that wonderful red feather in front of Harry. Also the facial expressions of the King while waiting for the perfect Wales family who usually never put a foot wrong!
It always seems Charlotte and Louis get all the attention from the press but I thought George did an outstanding job as page boy to King Charles. And the pictures after the coronation showing him having some laughs with the other page boys were delightful.
Princess Anne's hat was the star of the show. The thistle on top giving Harry all the privacy he craves!
I know the gold coach is known to be very uncomfortable for those riding in it but it looks incredibly majestic and fits the occasion perfectly.
It was nice to see Princess Alexandra. She always looks so nice and friendly and seems to have a naturally pleasant expression. She must be getting on a bit .
Apparently George’s fellow pages were 12 and 13, and although he is only 9 he looked much the same height as they were. He’s going to be nice and tall.
Her outfit made her look like a bloke.🤣🤣🤣 You know some weird blokes.
Don't know if anyone else has said this but I thought Penny Mordant needed to cover her arms. I thought she looked half naked! Some of the girls in the choir had their hair loose. Too informal for my liking.
The choir girls from Truro Shhool were given a first class compartment by GWR to travel up to Paddington. Their teacher said it was so they could do their A Level revision.
As if! They'd be far too excited to revise!
Compared to Cherie Blair and Sarah Brown, I thought Samantha Cameron, standing alongside them, looked quite smart.
Namsnanny - I have just checked some footage and noted several of the parade horses were a bit jittery. One specifically was very spooked and backed into the crowd barrier. As I understand no one was hurt.
It's difficult to say for sure why this happened unless you were a witness to something specific that happened. You have to remember this was a huge occasion rarely seen before and never experienced by the horses and riders in this parade. Horses like humans have different personalities and some get more jittery than others at big occasions, just like humans.
My thoughts are that it could have been any or all of these combinations in no particular order.
A young or nervous horse.
An inexperienced or young rider.
The loud music of the bands including passing amplified noises.
Shouting or cheering crowds.
Loud bangs.
Sensing the enormity of the whole occasion.
Anything at all like that and nothing specific. We've even seen the Queen's horse spooked on parade before.
I missed seeing Cherie Blair and Sarah Brown, but saw Samantha Cameron. She looked nice but more suitable for a summer fete in my opinion, simply not smart enough for the occasion. I thought Theresa May’s outfit was horrible. Pippa Middleton (sorry, can’t remember her married name) looked perfect, as did her mother. And it’s been said before, but Penny Mordaunt looked outstanding and performed her role to perfection. And Katie Perry’s outfit was a mess, too fussy, too tight, and the hat too big.

They had their hair loose? Like mine usually is? And Penny Modaunt’s arms weren’t completely covered? I feel a fit of the vapours coming on. I recall being told that my great grandmother was once castigated for having her hair loose. But that was rather a long time ago.
Cherie Blair looked really smart, her dress fitted her well and her hat and accessories all matched, so I was surprised at grannybuy making that comment. I thought Sarah Brown looked a bit drab, as did Carrie Johnson, they both looked like they wanted to fade into the background.
I’m not sure what lizzypopbottle meant about Penny Mordaunt’s arms, her dress had a cape, which was perfect for the job she had. It would have looked really odd if she had long sleeves on her dress with a cape to my mind.
I loved everything about it. Never thought to watch “critically.”
Did anyone see the 'grim reaper' pass the entrance when everyone was inside? One of the guards seemed to see it and raised his flag. Most odd!
I thought the cape on Penny Mordaunt's outfit looked fine and her arms are in terrific shape - she'd been exercising prior to carrying that heavy sword.

The Cape over-dress look seems quite popular for church services. Meghan wore one for the Queen's funeral. I like it, if you have good arms!
It's obviously fashionable too.

My mother got into trouble from her employer when she had her long hair cut into a short bob. That was in the 1920s!
I loved Penny Mordaunt’s dress , the cape style was lovely and gave her freedom to hold the sword . The colour is called Poseidon and was chosen because her constituency is Portsmouth .

I sure do 😂
Regarding girls with hair loose, my mother said girls were expected to appear on their eighteenth birthday with hair 'up' before that it was down. The choirgirls were quite young. As long as it is brushed and clean, no problem how they have it.

No, no one else did lizziepopbottle because as said, she needed the freedom of movement to handle the sword. She was superb.
Good job, we’ve moved on so the young girls could be as they are, young girls, not mannequin models.
I liked the modernity afforded to most participants, plenty of formal traditional dress where it was most required.

Yes, that was correct in the early 1900s, I think.
Then came the Eton crop, semi-shingled bobs - all very shocking 😁
