Take Care,
Mick
Enjoy MD
Bien venue, Marydoll. Enjoy your break! ❤️
Good morning all from cloudy Lancashire. It rained heavily overnight and I think we’re in for more today.
I hope you have a better day Grandmabatty and I hope you enjoy your break Marydoll.
Good morning from Shropshire.
A day of catching up after a whirlwind few days.
I hope you manage to see or at least speak to your GP today Grandmabatty and also that you have better news from the hospital about your mum. While you’re looking after everyone else remember to look after yourself too💐
Hope you have a lovely time away Marydoll. The nodules on your hands sound so painful. My thoughts with Miss Oops too suffering with the same condition.
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
Morning everyone from bright but cool/cold S Lanarkshire.
Thinking about you Grandmabatty, you don’t have your sorrows to seek just now, definitely a call to your GP please.
BlueSapphire, AC are so busy, they don’t mean anything by it and when you have such a full and independent life as you do, it won’t even cross their minds that you might feel ‘unincluded’ to coin a phrase. Hope you feel better today.
A much needed housework day for me today, enjoy your break Marydoll and best wishes to all.
Morning all
I feel as if I have already done a day’s work🤣🤣 Must be off.
Have a good day folks 🙋♀️🦩 (will come back and read your posts later)
Good morning from a bright West York's after heavy rain yesterday. We are hopefully going to cinema today .Have a good day ((hugs))) for all who have worries ,are feeling under the weather or just need one.
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Catch up today after being away. Have booked my covid jab and will stock up on some essentials.
Felt wrung out after the final episode of BBC War and Peace last night. Late to the party for that, but it was magnificent.
Must organise myself for the music club. I recorded my singing yesterday and it was rusty after the break.
Thoughts to all with troubles and have the best day you can.
Photo of dining car on recent Orient Express trip.
Good morning everyone from a now sunny Northampton, but don't think it will last. Not a lot planned for today; a tidy up of the kitchen, clean my en-suite, and if it stays dry will venture out to join the health-walk group this afternoon.
Yesterday got the bus down to Matalan to change a top, then a short walk to M&S for coffee. Found I had some offers on my phone, so got a few things. As it was a Sunday bus service on a bank holiday had to walk into the village to get the bus home. Spent the rest of the day catching up on all the Coronation special edition newspapers. And I managed to miss the rain, which didn't arrive until late afternoon.
Keep finding the occasional ant in my living room, but can't at the moment trace where they are coming from, so that I can spray the entry-point. Hate the things!
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a dreary N. Bucks.
Yesterday we did get the new plants put in and then enjoyed a couple of hours at my friends birthday open house.
DH has just left for a few days golfing with his friends.
Smallest DGS will be arriving soon to play whilst his Mummy goes to an exercise class. Rest of the day will be taken up with all sorts of jobs that need catching up on.
DD2 starts a new job today so hoping all goes well with that.
Wishing you all a day with something to make you smile especially those who are poorly or dealing with poorly relatives.
Morning from a dull S Hants, storms due later. Your warden sounds like she has ‘a badge’ GMattie real or metaphoric, enjoy cat and mouse with her 🙂
Better news GBatty , I hope you get to see a GP today.
My ex husband was from Largs taichinan, thé air on that coastline is special.
A bit of housework, washing, a returns to M&S, roast chicken for dinner.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩
Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle which is due to get some sun later...we are promised....
Yesterday, it rained nonstop until about 6pm, often heavily. Naturally, I didn't poke my nose outdoors and got on with housework and tidying up my office...I needed, and still do, a major shredding session as I have been having a clear out of paperwork.
Today, more of the same this morning and maybe I can get out in the garden this afternoon. I still have lots of little sparrows about here, they are doing sterling work on my roses, gobbling up the aphids.
I hope all goes well with your mother, Grandmabatty and do get yourself to the doc if you can.
Have a good day all.
Good morning from a dreary looking Suffolk with some big puddles on the drive. What a change from the glorious sunshine of yesterday.
Meeting a friend for coffee later this morning which may well morph into lunch. Yesterday’s visit to look at the glamping site as a possible venue for a family get together next year was most successful and it is now booked. We will have the whole site so dogs can come and there is lots for the children who will be ranging in ages from 18 to 8 to do.
We had to bow out of an invitation to a friend’s lunch but she insisted I popped round later to collect our ‘lunch’ which I did just after 5pm. The party was still in full swing and only 2 of the 16 invited had left.
I was loaded up with enough food, all home made,to feed us last night when I got home about 7.30pm and tonight also.
Thinking about those with concerns about their own health or those of family and/ or friends and hoping those on holiday or about to go have a lovely time.
Good morning from a dry NE where it is 13 degrees.
Yesterday was a nothing day, stayed in bed until 2.30pm reading and dozing then watched TV.
DS is coming after work this afternoon and we will meet DIL at school for GD2's music concert.
DD on the train to King's Cross and then Eurostar she will be home in Brussels this evening after a week in Dublin and a long weekend in the UK. She takes after her Dad, he was always travelling and both workaholics.
Hope those with problems have an easier day.
Good morning all and the sun is shining on the Angus coast!!! Yes, really! There's rain forecast for later, but for now the sun shines and I 😁☀️
Grandmabatty I hope you're mum feels better today and glad to hear it's not thought to have been a stroke. She's having good care, so time to look after yourself now - I hope your little DGSs are on their best behaviour today!
Sorry about your cough ash and to learn of DH's problems too.
A few days in the East Neuk will be lovely, Marydoll, even if the weather does its east coast worst! I love that area and 60 years ago when I passed my driving test Lower Largo was my first port of call. For an ice cream!
Later it was annual visits to the Pittenweem Art Show, where every possible shed and outhouse was commandeered for an art exhibition of some sort, once all the front rooms had been used up. It went on for a whole week at the beginning of August - probably still does, but I've lost touch - and the atmosphere was wonderful. Anyway, thanks for the memories your mention brought back! And enjoy your few days with the beach as your garden.
Today after Tai Chi I am taking my friend out for lunch. It's her birthday tomorrow, but more than that she moves away down to south of Edinburgh next week into sheltered accommodation near her daughter. She most emphatically does not want to go! It's all very sad. She's in her late 80s and I think the older you get the less accepting of change you become. Anyway I certainly shall not be telling her about your Warden grandmattie! I shall miss her - she's the last of my close friends here.
Dancing GD is now back on English soil after her trip to Estonia. She even phoned me from the airport in Tallinn to tell me how wonderful it had been! Next week is her College end-of-year show so I shall see her then.
But back to today and I must move myself. Have a good day everyone, and I hope as many of you as possible are sharing 'my' sun!
Good morning everyone.
Yesterday DH went back to work and I went to my Latin group. Reading letter from Pliny about the volcanic eruption.
Then back home to start to tidy everything up. ?? Where to start?
DDcame here last night after her shift and off on an early this am.
So much gardening to do. Going to order more big pots. Recycled plastic prob as can't afford terracotta.
Rock on!
Still damp after heavy rain yesterday but good for the new roses and only the supermarket beckons today. Wonderful cleaner will be here soon and I need her help with turning the spare bedroom mattresses but nothing else exciting on the cards.
Hope Grandmabatty and Marydoll have at least satsifactory days, and thst gMattie tames the less than charming warden soon.
Good morning all. No childcare today till Friday so will venture out to the shops. First time I will have left the house since last Tuesday following horrendous attack of BPPV. Carried our Epley manoeuvre on Saturday which seems to have greatly helped. It was horrible to do as I thought I was spinning at 1000 miles an hour and would be thrown off the bed. DH was there and was a great help. I didn’t really take in the Coronation as I felt so disoriented.
We are off to Fuerteventura next week. When I booked I had no idea it was very windy in the north of the island.
I’m so sorry your mother is unwell and you feel let down by your brother GrandmaBatty. I hope you are able to see a GP asap as your sickness and nausea have lasted a long time since catching a bug. 💐
Are you sure you can’t just go out as and when you choose GM? Seems extraordinary if you have to let the warden know.
Have a good day and thoughts with those who are ill or have troubles. Another week of inclement weather ahead. 😡
Good morning from a damp W Kent. Off to visit a friend for tea this morning and U3A this afternoon. Author discussing how they write apparently.
I hope you have better news of your mother Grandmab but please get thee to a GP.
Marydoll enjoy your break
Best wishes to all
Good morning all from an overcast Black country the heating came on this morning.
I have the hygienist lunchtime and need to go to bank other than that no plans will see what the day brings.
Grandmabatty do try to speak to your doctor and take care.
Marydoll have a lovely break and enjoy being pampered.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️
Morning all, as Dragonfly says, North Leicestershire is very murky!
It is choir for me this morning and then a quick dash to the pub in the next village to meet friends for lunch. Waitrose, in a different village, on the way home.
DH has a drive today and our cleaners will work their magic while we are out.
Sending good wishes to all with struggles today.
Morning Mick, morning All from a misty corner of Somerset. Drizzle forecast after yesterdays monsoon. Will someone please send sunshine? We need it!
Thank you all for your good wishes yesterday. It was a busy, enjoyable if different birthday. The highlight? Our plumber fixing the toilet flush! He’s a gem. Contact with all the family brought smiles, I was especially touched by a very thoughtful gift from our granddaughters mum and a video from our video hating Littlest
Busy day ahead, some dust removal, more preparation for new flooring, a visit to quote for replacement patio doors and as much space as a neighbour needs to update us on her husbands unexpected admission to hospital. Need to help another neighbour prepare for her hospital admission. Her family don’t live in this country. Laundry too. Won’t be bored anyway
Please make the call to your surgery grandmab, hope there is better hospital news. A hug on its way. Sounds like an irritatingly over zealous house manager grandmattie (does she really call herself a warden? Very old fashioned!). She’ll soon learn you’re both independent and capable.
Take care everyone. Get well wishes to all poorly folk.
Good morning my gn friends it’s a wet and windy start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. I hear the birds tweeting outside my window they’ve been on the go since very early.
I heard the dawn chorus about four. It’s a rest day today I’ll be lounging on my new sofa.
Now awaiting on a carer to help me get into my clothes she’ll be here around 9.15
Have a good day my friends Love to you all
Good morning from a wet Oxfordshire, the rain went away yesterday but there was no sun at all, let’s hope today perks up.
Nothing spoiling today, more decluttering.
MD MissOops has the nodules on all of her fingers and is in constant pain, some days she can’t even get dressed as she can’t touch anything, still waiting for a Consult though. I hope yours settle soon.
GMB please call the Doctor.
Hope everyone has a good day.
