I will watch it for the stupidity of it all. They wouldn't let Zelensky make a speech because it being too political but isn't the contest political anyway.
I was in two minds whether to bother as Far From the Madding Crowd is on BBC 2. I read the book as a teenager and saw the original film in 1967 with Julie Christie, Terence Stamp and Alan Bates. The one on tv tonight stars Carey Mulligan also an excellent version.

I'm bemused. No choice but to watch it tonight as with friends but it's the last time, must be fifteen years since I watched part of it, remember why.

No, I watched the semi finals and I was singing folk songs in the pub. I came in just as the scoring started.

I dont often watch the entire show as I agree with some posters who said that the music and singing were often poor. I dont know why they chose the UK entry as it was bland and she was flat. However as a native Liverpudlian (now exiled to Manchester) I just had to watch. I thought that Liverpool put on an excellent show of staging it and the laser effects were brilliant. I daresay a lot of money has been made by those located in the city but thats just business.

DS2 picked the winner, he often does! 🤣
I thought Germany were in with a chance, but I dozed off and missed the ending. 😴
Yes, BigLouis, I agree Liverpool put on a fantastic show. I enjoyed the interlude with Liverpool songs from a new perspective.

Does it matter what her history is? Al that matter is that she wowwed the Eurovision audience and clearly has a good future ahead of her.

Yes, I like it when it doesn't take itself too seriously.
