Good Morning Everyone,
A dry bright start here in brackley this morning.
Today , after some housework , I will get the Bicester bus for a couple of hours there before returning to watch the Giro on TV .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a sunny Bristol. Goodness, it has been lovely here since I moved in three weeks ago!
I had a very busy day, yesterday. Laundry washed, dried on line, ironed and put away. While I was getting my stuff in, my upstairs neighbour asked if I wanted to join the “village’s” WhatsApp group. Don’t know what it achieves, but I said yes.
I called the management company to pay my ground rent; it’s gone up by about 50% since I put in an offer for the flat.
I spoke to a financial advisor for investment/management of the house equity.
I also tried to get to the council to pay my council tax, and change my bus pass from Kent to Bristol .
Finally, I vacuumed the house and cleaned all the filters.
Happy birthday to all involved, hope illness/distress is manageable today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and dry. Not as sunny as some have but still it's nice enough. Grandmattie you are a veritable whirlwind of activity!
Yesterday was a childcare day. Dgs2 and I are in a nice routine. Dgs1 wasn't 100% and a bit lethargic when I picked him up after nursery. I suspect he's sickening for something.
Today is extra early childcare as dd has to go into her office. Her work is insisting that wfh is reduced and she'll have to go to the office twice a week soon. I can't say anyone is happy about that. I'll stay at her house until I drop off dgs1 at nursery then bring dgs2 to my house. I think we might start going to callendar park on a Tuesday morning, like I did with dgs1 at the same age. Have a good day all

Good morning, not such a bright start here, it’s a bit cloudy and definitely cool.
Yesterday afternoon was lovely once the chilly northerly wind dropped.
Today’s getting the washing done, and I need to sort out my tubs of strawberries, I shoved them down by the shed and didn’t notice until last evening that they’re flowering and looking rather scruffy. I’ll give them a good watering and feed, poor things.
Then I will start some painting I think, not sure what but I need to get practicing or I will never improve 🙄😀 Acrylic class yesterday was good, my painting wasn’t….Never mind, I can only get better can’t I?
Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m feeling a bit better today so might get all the tasks done which I should have done yesterday! Waitrose, petrol, bag of stuff for a charity shop, new spec case from Specsavers… I spoke to my two eldest children yesterday whose birthday it was. I can’t believe they are both in their 40s! Son number two will be 38 in August. Have a good day.

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

We gave had Bertie, Persie and Wolfie overnight. They have been no trouble at all but it has been all go. Added to which, I helped at the first of a new carer course which is always quite an emotional session.

Choir this morning after the children have gone to school and then some pot watering.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It’s overcast and there’s no wind this morning. Perfect conditions for a fishing trip, so that’s what I am doing. It’s taken more organising this time than my usual “shove a box of flies in your pocket, grab your rod and go” trips, so I hope it will be worth it! I hate the thought of having to take everything but the kitchen sink, but I ain’t as mobile as I used to be. It may be a swan song.
Have a good day, folks.

Good morning from an overcast with sun expected this afternoon.

You might remember that we “acquired” a cute kitten here in January. He has grown into a gentle, loving cat except where small creatures are concerned. Nothing is overlooked. Yesterday, we found him playing with a (dead) snake, as the photos show. The old cat spent all yesterday asleep and we really thought she’d gone into a decline. This morning she’s up already and eating. Obviously, she was wanting a duvet day!

DH and I are feeling much better at last and hope to shop for the essentials for going home this morning: wine and …. er … wine!

You are full of energy, grandMattie, which is great! I should join the WhatsApp group - it will keep you in the loop.

Belated birthday wishes for AuntieFlo. Good luck to all travellers and those caring for littlies or poorly ones. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

GrannyGravy13 Tue 23-May-23 06:46:39

Morning all

We have sun, yippee.

Feeling trepidatious about the meeting this morning, will put my work face and big girl pants on. I have told DH that we have to be firm in our stance and not let them suggest/schedule just cosmetic repairs once again.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning, wall to wall sunshine in s somerset and not much wind today

I am keeping to myself this week, covid booster booked for friday and I don`t want to risk catching the new variant, or any variant, to prevent me getting that booster. I saw what covid did to my neighbour

Just a pottering day today, starting another book and as much time out of doors as possible. I was getting very dozey at 9 last night so got myself up into my sewing room and did an hour. The sheer luxury of having machines set up and ready, I would have loved that when my family were at home

The roses are stunning, too many blooms to count. I am definitely not going to waste my senses this spring

Have a lovely day

Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset.

Enjoyed a walk on a quiet sea front yesterday morning, collected our computer and spent the rest of the day following instructions to finish an updating process. All seemed good by the evening, who knew I could do that?

Today will be fine as long as organisation rules. I need to ascend into the loft before it gets too warm up there and come back down before the grocery order arrives. There is dust to be removed around visits from two folk to quote for replacement bits of our bungalow and the technician to tweak the hall floor covering. In between I’ll delivery requested items from the grocery order to our neighbour. There will also be pots to water and with luck the feed will finally make it to the roses. Goodness knows what we’ll eat. See what falls out of the freezer. It could all work, my best guess is it will descend into chaos.

After a very disturbed night I could do with some of your energy. grandmattie, you’re achieving so much and sounding more settled by the day.

Enjoy what you can today everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Gingster Tue 23-May-23 06:52:45

Good morning all and it’s bright and sunny here in Essex.

Yesterday was full on and enjoyable. Today I’ll take little DGD to school and see how Dd is feeling. She’s really struggling at the moment. These treatments save your life but oh boy do they take their toll. Hopefully it will gradually ease. 🙏.

Enjoy your day, whatever it brings. 🌸

GrannyGravy13 Tue 23-May-23 07:00:55

Sorry to hear your DD is still struggling Gingster what would our girls do without us 🌸🌸🌸

Wyllow3 Tue 23-May-23 07:12:02

Morning al from a fresh but overcast S Yorks, I think sun later.

Today I have the operation to remove the large lump on my arm, its a day procedure, taxi there and friend collecting. As its up near the shoulder will be restrictive for a bit.

Thinking of DD Gingster

Bests for successful days and thoughts for poorlies.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 23-May-23 07:18:34

Wyllow3 hope all goes smoothly

grandMattie Tue 23-May-23 07:19:20

Thinking of you today, Wyllow. All the best with your procedure.

Pittcity Tue 23-May-23 07:20:04

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I could get used to this pleasant weather.
My feet ache after a day at Westfield yesterday. I will exercise them more today with a day volunteering in the charity shop.
All the best for your op Wyllow and love to all 🦩 x

brook2704 Tue 23-May-23 07:25:42

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Inverness, although the forecast says it’ll be cloudy later
The Whats App group should keep you up to date with the local news and events gMattie so worth a try - sorry to hear about the sharp increase in ground rent though
Thank you all for your good wishes, I arrived safely home yesterday evening after an easy enough journey from Cambridge. It was so lovely to see everyone and I’ll be back there again soon. Today it’s straight back into our usual Tuesday routine with picking up DGD from school, helping with the after school activities and then bringing her back here for a sleepover.
Sorry to hear your DD is struggling so much Gingster sending ❤️
Lovely pictures Ash thanks for sharing and safe travels home with the wine!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

ShazzaKanazza Tue 23-May-23 07:43:50

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s dull at the moment but should come out sunny like yesterday afternoon.

Wyllow best wishes for your op today 💐

Ash love your cat he’s certainly earning his keep.

Ginger sending your DD love and healing hugs💐

My son has just called from China to say they’ve admitted our daughter in law to hospital with pneumonia brought on by covid. She is just days away from giving birth so baby is fine and moving around happily but she just can’t shake the cough. She’s has been monitored at the hospital most days but they felt today she should be admitted.
She’s the last one we know to get covid and it’s hit her hard.

I’m busy with my mum and uncle today and tonight it’s my best friend’s 60th birthday meal so we are eating out together I need to pick up a balloon at some point.

Have a lovely day everyone. Love to those with stress and illness🌻🌻

monk08 Tue 23-May-23 07:44:17

Good morning all from an overcast Black country think the sun will break through later.
Once again no plans will see what the day brings, possibly gardening and I have a new book to finish.
All the best for your procedure Wyllow hope all goes well.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone and may you all find some ☀️.

Grammaretto Tue 23-May-23 07:44:39

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's quite mild and overcast.
I had a good day catching up with an old friend. We met at the Botanic gardens which were looking and smelling stunning.
Today I'm taking my DGD for her birthday treat on a birdwatching boat trip. at least I hope it will be a treat

gMattie you are sounding more settled already and busy as ever.

Thinking of you and your DD Gingster
Hope today brings joy

Grandmabatty Tue 23-May-23 07:46:11

Wyllow good luck later with your op. gingster I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is struggling

Taichinan Tue 23-May-23 08:08:45

Good morning all from a sunny - yes, sunny!!! - Angus coast. Only 8° at the moment, but 16° is forecast.
I just pottered and foutered yesterday, but did complete the paperwork I had to do. I also finished my book, the last in Lucinda Riley's Seven Sisters saga - highly recommended. Sadly Lucinda Riley herself past away a couple of years ago, so it was a last book in more ways than one.
Today is a tai chi day so something to look forward to. Then a spot of shopping while I'm down in the town.
Happy Birthday for yesterday Auntieflo - I'm less than a year ahead of you and become 82 in September.
It's lovely to see you settled and more content Grandmattie - it's been a good move for you. WhatsApp groups are good and keep you abreast with all that's going on. We have a Family WhatsApp, which was heavily used and a life-saver for me during lockdown, and now DGD3 has started up a Wordle one with her sister and mum and their 'other halves' - and Nanny 'so she doesn't feel left out! 'Left behind' would be a more appropriate description - goodness those youngsters are quick with their replies and repartee!
Gingster I'm sorry your DD (and therefore you) is going through such a hard time. As you say, she's been given back her life, but that treatment takes its toll flowers
And so off I trot - and I see the first two have completed today's Wordle ...... Have a good day everyone x

Taichinan Tue 23-May-23 08:10:04

Sorry Wyllow - thoughts with you today too and I hope your procedure isn't too uncomfortable flowers

hollysteers Tue 23-May-23 08:11:57

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. The large back patio was jet washed yesterday and the lawn cut, so I will be able to entertain out there without hanging my head in shame. The cover is also off the hanging egg chair, so it’s officially summer here, though cloudy.

I made arrangements to transfer monies to help DD purchase her flat in the south and have
my yearly meeting coming up with financial advisor when I will see how the land lies financially. Although I have no plans to downsize at the moment, everything will go to DD and DS eventually so I’m happy to help out now.

Usual music club today and we have reverted to the older later starting time after complaints. Hopefully the numbers will improve. I must have a warble before I go.
I seem to be turning in earlier at night,(not a bad thing) dropping off to sleep in front of the tv. A far cry from my singing/performing days, when the evenings were the focus and mornings could be a write off.
Lovely photo Grammaretto

Hope your op goes smoothly Wyllow and thinking of you and your DD Gingster
