Good Morning Everyone,
Looking a little grey over brackley this morning , but its dry .
Yesterday, I had my confirmation as to surgery next month at the Churchill in Oxford, but I have to get admission time 2 days prior to the surgery .
Today , my usual bus journey , where I bump into people I used to work with at Bicester ,and then return to watch the drama unfold in the Giro cycle race .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a bright, clear Bristol.
Well done, Mick, for the dates, etc., for your surgery. You are being well looked after.
Thanks, borrheid. I’m hoping I shan’t actually have Meniere’s, it was a tentative diagnosis from a doctor who has never seen me and doesn’t know me from Adam. Once, I’ve been seen and tested by ENT, it’ll be clearer. The symptoms are not the nicest, but certainly not life threatening, only not really life enhancing either.
DS arrived safely, was met by his sister. They are extremely close; it’s a pleasure to see. My sisters and I are total strangers.
Today is going to be another busy day. I’ve got to get bits, like asparagus, before a visit by DS. DD has a meeting nearby, will drop him off and collect him.
I have been invited by the local T’ai Chi group for a taster session. They are terribly strict with members for insurance purposes…. We’ll see.
I have a dental appointment before going to have dinner with DD and family. It’s a regular “date”, I see everybody without impinging too much on their precious spare time.
Hope journey are easy, health tolerable, contentment levels high. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️

Good morning from a still and sunny part of the Sarthe.

I’m glad your surgery dates, etc. have been confirmed, Mick.

It will be lovely for your DS to see your new abode, grandMattie, and for you to be reunited with rest of the family later. Good luck with the T’ai Chi taster session!

A busy day ahead as we pack up my car for the journey to the UK. Our crossing docks at 9.30 p.m. BST at Portsmouth where we'll stay tonight.

Wishing everyone a good day. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from sunny Wiltshire, clear blue skies here.
Yesterday I enjoyed sitting in the garden with my knitting (I then pulled it all back nearly to the beginning last night because of a silly mistake 🙄), never mind.
I had a lovely early dog walk with a friend, the air was lovely and fresh and so peaceful.
Today I will do a bit more tidying of the front garden then sit and enjoy the sunshine ☀️
I hope you all can too x

Beechnut Thu 25-May-23 06:25:32

Good morning everyone from Severnside. A sunny day ahead.

Gathering up things towards a craft project yesterday I then ventured into sorting my different colour card and putting them into separate folders. I finished off my enjoyable book in the sunshine later.

Today I really have to do a shop or my fridge wouldn’t be worth turning on 🤣

My father in law suffered with Meniere’s * Mattie*. On an attack he was unable to get out of bed.

Good luck with your operation Mick and have a lovely day all 🌞👒🌺

Greyduster Thu 25-May-23 06:35:37

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Going to be a warm one again in South Yorkshire. I am supposed to be going out with the walking group, but I can’t seem to pull myself round this morning, so I may give it a miss.
Have the best day you can folks.

cornergran Thu 25-May-23 06:48:21

Morning Mick, morning All. Pleased to report our corner of Somerset is promised more sunshine.

Thoroughly enjoyed our walk along an almost deserted beach yesterday. Decided to sort the little bits of this and that from various shops on the way home. Ridiculously pleased with ourselves for managing to use the new territory of a parcel drop off point. So easy.

Collecting our not so Littlest from school today, we’re looking forward to it. Apparently he is very excited and has plans for us. Oh heck.

Enjoy your family time grandmattie. How could the Tai Chi group not welcome you? Safe trip ash. Good news about your surgery date mick. Not long now.

Take care everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Morning all from a sunny looking West Oxfordshire. I have to be up and dressed by 9 am as the oven cleaning guy is arriving. Then at some point I have to collect my prescription from the Health Centre and also a click and collect parcel from Waitrose. My brother bought me a most beautiful fossil from Lyme Regis for my birthday. I have ordered a sort of wooden display thing. It is Book Group at lunchtime in our local cafe. Always fun. Once more feeding my friend’s fish and watering the garden before spending some time with another friend this evening. I am off to Kew tomorrow for the weekend so need to pack a bag. At least OH is cooking dinner tonight as I don’t think I’ll have time! Have a good day everyone. I wore sandals yesterday! The first time this year.

Pittcity Thu 25-May-23 07:05:39

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I too wore sandals yesterday Llfl after painting my toenails! It won't be as warm today but dry again, so the watering can is out every evening.
Bedding on the line, hoover and mop and a trip to the supermarket are today's fun activities.
Love to all 🦩 x

karmalady Thu 25-May-23 07:17:29

Good morning, s somerset is sunny right now and it will be a nice day

Yesterday was very productive, starting with a cycle ride, first this year on my skinny road bike, wearing comfy lycra. I must have some muscle memory because it did not feel as twitchy as I thought it would be.

I trimmed and cleaned up all my strawberry plants, 50 of them and all in self-watering troughs in tiers. Fruits are starting to appear. Did a bit of weeding, rather nice just keeping an eye on the garden and am thinking that now there is plenty of shelter for slow worms, which I know are in the vicinity

I enjoyed the whole day out of doors and will do so every day this spring. Nothing at all is planned for today, evolution will take place, whatever that might be

Have a lovely day

kittylester Thu 25-May-23 07:19:17

Good morning all from a sunny North.

Lots of bitting and bobbing on the cards today. Bedding to iron, charity stuff to sort, a parcel and medication to collect and then a Sainsbury delivery to put away.

A friend and I tried a new and very small cafe yesterday. It was lovely, we will go back. Sadly, she had worrying news to share.

Have a good day all.

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 25-May-23 07:22:19

Good morning, unexpectedly from Oxfordshire.

MissOops was ambulances to the JR hosp on Wednesday but we didn’t know about it until last night - quickly packed up and arrived home to find MzOops from Cornwall on the case and at the hospital trying to find out what the problem is, lots of tests done, but unable to do more invasive tests as MissOops is so poorly.
Anyway off to the hospital as soon as they will let us in, South Wales was beautiful, we might be moving there at some stage.

Have a good day everyone, let’s hope the sun comes out.

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 25-May-23 07:23:18

Sorry she went to hosp on Tuesday, my days are all muddled up!

monk08 Thu 25-May-23 07:25:56

Good morning all from a dull Black country and I don't think the sun will make much of an appearance today, still yesterday was good and front and back lawns got mowed.
Shopping methinks today fridge beginning to look bare.
Great you have a date for your surgery Mick take care in the mean time.
Safe travels back to blighty Ash.
Enjoy your family time grandMattie
Have a good Thursday everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 25-May-23 07:27:37

Good morning from clear skies, down South.
Already been to Tes co.
Dont normally go so early.
Didnt know they dont have manned tills until 8am
Had half a trolley to put through. Oh well.

Gingster Thu 25-May-23 07:32:13

Good morning all and the sun is just coming out here in Essex.

Yesterday I had my rings cut off. My finger feels very strange but I’m pleased and relieved. I have to wait a few weeks to go back to see what size they need to enlarge the rings.

Today I have bowls group and then we’re off to have lunch with my two brothers, one SIL and maybe one nephew. It’s a lovely country pub that we usually go to for birthdays or anniversaries.

Dd has help with school runs and brownies today, so I’ve got leave 😉.

Ash safe journey
Karma what a busy , active lady you are. 🚴‍♀️👩‍🌾🪴.
GM enjoy your family time especially now you DS is here. ❤️.
Hoping all your days are happy ones 🌸

Jaxjacky Thu 25-May-23 07:33:45

Morning from high cloud in S Hants. Good you’ve got a date Mick, safe journey back Ash.
I hope your daughter is not too bad Oops what a fright.
Picked up our friend from cataract surgery yesterday, bought some more flowers and visited the farm shop. Today there’s washing, get the flowers in and the veg plants in the greenhouse.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩

Gingster Thu 25-May-23 07:35:47

Best wishes and prayers for your DD, Oops. 🙏

Grandmabatty Thu 25-May-23 07:37:53

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 9° and very cloudy. I'm hoping it burns off soon as yesterday was lovely.
Oopsadaisy my best wishes to MissOops. Grandmattie have a lovely time with your family.
Yesterday went well. I was at the chiropodist then went to Matalan for cheap t shirts for my holiday so it doesn't matter if they are covered in suntan lotion or ice cream from the boys. Found some nice ones and a maxi dress too. Then visited my friend's partner who is understandably still struggling after her death. It's only been two months. Then I picked up an order from Next. The cut off jeans are too long so they'll need taken up. At the moment, they look ridiculous. Then I visited mum at night and she managed to have a decent conversation for twenty minutes before she fell asleep. Dd messaged me to say dgs1 had an excellent report from nursery. He's kind and caring and very bright.
Today I should be going to my art class but I've been given the gift of a cold from my generous dgs2. I'm looking after him this afternoon anyway, so I'll stay home and potter. I'm not feeling great anyway. I think I won't visit mum as I don't want to pass anything on to her. Have a good day all

brook2704 Thu 25-May-23 07:41:00

Good morning everyone from a beautifully sunny Inverness, it looks like the wind has dropped too as the trees aren’t swaying as much.
So sorry to hear about MissOops, Oops, I hope things improve soon, sending 💐
Today I’m planning to spend most of the day in the garden, there’s lots to do and everything seems to be flourishing right now.
Shame about your rings Gingster hopefully you’ll have them back on again soon enough
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Wyllow3 Thu 25-May-23 07:44:27

Good Morning from a sunny S Yorks.

Bests for a worrying time with DD Oops

Very tired after a busy week - yesterday saw me and the gardener tackling the garden, it look spiffing till you get up close as working our way down the garden weeds still left towards the end including invasive blackberries in the jungle bit. And a new fridge-freezer.

So today is just a Zoom counselling and a potter.

Bests with poor pies all-round, appointments and ongoing: and have lovely times with outings and family.

Wyllow3 Thu 25-May-23 07:44:51

Not poor pies, poorlies!

Marydoll Thu 25-May-23 07:49:11

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where its 7°C here.

I was up at 5am looking for high strength Ibuprofen gel for my troublesome shoulder and hands, they kept me awake for a good part of the night.
I am on pram pushing duty today for the first time and Mr MDoll is looking for any excuse to take over. I must be fit enough to fight him off. 😉
Thank goodness I have an RA appointment next week, (unless it's cancelled yet again! )
We are meeting DS and DIL at Silverburn, after Babydoll's weigh in. Hopefully the health visitor will be happy with her weight. There are still a few problems, but we are getting there.

At last Scottish gas have listened to us, they removed a useless smart meter and installed an old fashioned one yesterday. If you believe the smart reader reading, we would have used more gas in the last six months, than we had used in the last thirty years in this house. 🤷‍♀️

I went to Mass yesterday and kept all those with troubles, health and otherwise, in my prayers. No word from Mizuna for a few days, I hope she is ok.
Healing thoughts to MissOops, you must have got such a shock, Oops. 💐

Wishing all you busy people, a very good day.

multicolourswapshop Thu 25-May-23 07:53:35

Good morning all from a beautiful warm and sunny day here on the east coast of Fife
I’ve had another major fall out with my twin sister who moved in with me when I had my stroke five years ago she ranted at me for cleaning my bathroom cupboard out only because she had a £50 deodorant there. I mean who buys a £50 deodorant, definitely not me I wouldn’t even if I could afford to hope today goes better.

My thoughts are with all those who may be experiencing these emotive moments that I’m experiencing, fingers crossed for a good day
