Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and sun is shining here in brackley this morning.
I am still suffering with back pain , but I have done the normal massage with deep heat to ease it , maybe a comfortable day for me .
And try to relax and think of the pain .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7° and beautifully sunny. Another fine day ahead. GrandmaChrisy happy anniversary to you both. Mizuna you are naughty indeed. Do as you are told!😊
Yesterday was very quiet. I picked up the beach towels from M and S and then got a frame for the little mixed media piece I had done. I visited mum and she was much more talkative than she had been. The lovely health care assistant updated me on her progress yesterday and had done her hair again. She is very well cared for.
Today I must get food as there's no bread or milk etc. I shall spend time in the garden as I've been quite lazy so far. My summer house needs a sorting out too. Have a good day all

Gingster Sun 28-May-23 08:16:43

Good morning all and it looks like a lovely start to the day.

Yesterday ds1 arrived to help his dad remove the rest of the decking, saw it up and take it to the tip. It took two loads in his large car.
He’s like a whirlwind, strong and fast. Me and Dh doddering around trying to help but were probably in his way. All done in 2 hours. 👍.
He then returned to take me to the hospital to visit Dd and then pick me up. Traffic and parking impossible! 😤. I said I could easily go on the bus but he insisted. He’s amazing but rather exhausting to be around 😢🥵😂.

Dd waiting for treatment (bank holiday weekend) not many staff on duty. She seemed a little more comfortable.

Little DGD was brought back from other nanny’s and her dad. They’d had her overnight and all day (makes a change) ! ! 😏.
She’d had a fun packed day though. She’s still fast asleep here now so must have been tired.

Shopping for teenage boy twins who are fending for themselves (😳😬) and I’ll bring washing back here.

We’ll take gd to visit her mum this afternoon. 🥵.
Oh to be at my seaside cottage and sit listening to the sea! 🥹.
Oh to be a mum/nana! ❤️

Enjoy the day, those who can and take it easy those who are struggling. 🌸

Happy Anniversary Grandmachrisy🥂🍾
Mizuna sit and relax

Marydoll Sun 28-May-23 08:18:40

Good morning all fromba sunny Glasgow, but its only 7°C.

Mick, as others have said, you need to keep moving, if it is mechanical. However, there are many causes of back pain and if it persists, given your bowel problem, contact your GP.

Mizuna, you are a naughty girl, I can empathise, but you must give your body time to recover. This is the pot calling the kettle black, who is also avery naughty girl!

A gentle day for me too, apart from calling DD. She has been complaining of being unwell recently and is showing a number of RA symptoms. The maternal side of my family is ridden with Lupus and RA, I pray it is not that.

Hoping to hear more positive news of Gingster's and *Oops' DDs.

I wish you all a pleasant Sunday.

Marydoll Sun 28-May-23 08:20:22

Happy anniversary, Grandmachrissy!!!

Mizuna Sun 28-May-23 08:23:38

Thank you kind and wise friends, I will tether myself to a chair. gringrin

Wishing you both a very Happy Anniversary grandmachrisy! 🎉🥂❤️

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 28-May-23 08:27:56

Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire.
MissOops came home yesterday, she still is unwell but doesn’t need constant fluids or monitoring, so we are looking after her here.
Had a quick look at the veg garden to see that the rabbits have made short work of all the seedlings and have dug several holes, MissOops dog will be along later to stay so she will see them off, or, more likely, she will sit and watch them!
Mick if you haven’t done something physical to your back, please ring your Team at the JR on Tuesday and report your new symptom. I hope you feel better soon.
I will read the other posts later, I’m a bit muddle headed today and things I read aren’t ‘sticking’ in my head.
Have a good day everyone, thoughts with Ginster and her DD, hope she is being looked after and feeling better.
WW2 pleased your toe is recovering sounds so painful.
Have to go now, the patient is wandering around wondering where she is.

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 28-May-23 08:31:16

Mizuna when MrOops had stents fitted some years ago, he had to do nothing for 6 weeks, not drive, just sit, rest and potter about. I took him out for ‘days’ to stop him going stir crazy.
Oh MissOops is a bit traumatised about her experience and is having another ‘wobble’. So have to go.
Take care everyone, congratulations on wedding anniversaries and any birthdays I’ve missed.

We returned from Fuerteventura yesterday into Bristol Airport. Don’t think I’d go back myself but we had a lovely time. Temperature was about the same here but with clear blue sky and a lot less windy. Got caught up in delays getting through arrivals due to the nationwide E gate system failure. I ache all over this morning. I wish I knew what my issue was but blood tests show little wrong.

Hope that both Gingster’s and Oop’s daughters get better quickly. What a worry. Glad that Mizuna’s procedure went so well for her. Congratulations to Shazza on the birth of her new GS. Nothing is nicer than welcoming a new baby into the family.

Have a good bank holiday Sunday all.

NannyJan53 Sun 28-May-23 08:44:35

Good morning from a sunny Black Country, where it has just clouded over.

Gorgeous day yesterday, had a BBQ in the evening.

Popping over to Mums, then DD's today, where I am taking a Lasagne I have made.

Wow *Juliee exciting times. Looking forward to hear about your experiences.

monk 1953 was a good year, I am 70 in September smile

Wishing you all lovely Sunday

Mizuna Sun 28-May-23 08:51:53

Thanks for that Oops. I was sent home with no advice other than to see my doctor if I have any concerns. Otherwise I've picked up bits and bobs from the internet. It even says you can go back to work a few days after having a stent fitted but I've decided after yesterday to get a face to face with my doctor to see what she advises.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 28-May-23 09:03:50

Morning from a very sunny S E Essex

We are off to DS4’s today for a birthday BBQ for GD she is 6 going on 16. DiL’s family will be there along with our DS3 and DD so the cousins will be whooping and whizzing around which is heartwarming as they get on so well.

I hope the poorly DDs are ok (((hugs))) to those in need.

I will now read the thread with a cup of tea.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Happy Anniversary to you both Grandmachrisy 🥂

EkwaNimitee Sun 28-May-23 09:08:51

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny, at the moment, Carlisle. It will be like yesterday, sunny intervals with clouds constantly floating over threatening showers. I wish they would shower because I really need to get the hose out on my new plantings and watering is a job I detest!
I'm still having to rest up somewhat after my venesection but got out for some weeding and planting out of bedding yesterday and hope to do the same today. Apart from that, it will be a mix of tidying up, admin and reading.

I understand your frustration Mizuna though my problem is so much more minor, I hope you're able to get good advice from the doc.

Good advice from Oops, Mick, the thought re your bowels had crossed my mind too. Of course, your back may be a well known problem to you, but still...

Wishing you all the best possible day.

baubles Sun 28-May-23 09:10:55

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire where the sun is shining.

Mick, sorry to hear about your back pain.

Rest up Mizuna.

Happy anniversary Grandmachrissy. Enjoy the birthday celebrations monk.

Sounds like a happy day for your DGS Gwen.

Pleased to hear that your DD is a bit more comfortable Gingster.

Safe travels and enjoy the adventure Juliee.

Eldest GC asked to come over yesterday and spend the night which was a lovely surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed her delightful company when I got back from work. She will come with DH to meet me at our usual spot for lunch before we take her home.

Have the best day possible everyone, thinking of those who are going through hard times.

aggie Sun 28-May-23 09:23:48

Good morning from a cloudy Co Armagh, the sun is playing peek a boo , but the breeze is keeping it decidedly cold !
No sitting out today , I did a few rows of crochet sitting out yesterday . I got col so changed to scrubbing rust marks off the patio tiles , I was sitting on way Walker , but the brakes aren’t great , so it was a balancing act , as I scrubbed I shot back , readjusted my position with jamming against the wall , it looks a lot better , careful placing of pots helps too !
More crochet today , but indoors I think , the blanket I’m making isn’t big enough to cover my legs 🤣🤣
I have no one near so I can mutter my prayers as I work ,

Sar53 Sun 28-May-23 09:24:41

Good morning from Essex by the sea where the sun is shining and I can see that the sea is sparkling.
We are going out for breakfast shortly then to the yacht club at lunchtime for a drink.
I am another who was born in 1953, three and a bit weeks til my birthday.
I'm pleased to hear that Gingster's daughter is being looked after in hospital and that Oop's daughter is home now.
Have a lovely day everyone and lets hope that this lovely sunny weather continues xxx

Stilllearning Sun 28-May-23 09:24:57

Morning all from sunny but cool S Lanarkshire. I read yesterday’s posts later in the day and want to congratulate Shazza on the birth of her new grandson, such a happy time.

Juliee I hope you keep in touch, sounds like quite an adventure!

Keep well and listen to your body Mizuna, never mind the internet, we’re all different😊!

I hope your daughter improves soon Gingster, she and you have been through such a lot. Mind you I quite often wish I was at your cottage by the sea myself😂😂

Wishing everyone a good day with some enjoyment in it for all

hollysteers Sun 28-May-23 09:27:20

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Lovely day yesterday, I wish this perfect temperature would stay for ever. Walked in our sand dunes at the bottom of my road (nature reserve), the irises just past their best, but tadpoles galore at my favourite spot, an old bridge and stream. The through a cutting on to the beach, not a soul around, gathered some beautiful shells.
Sat in the garden, read and sketched in the afternoon.

DD arrives from the south arrives later today for a few days but is not eating as out in the evening with a friends catch up. Energy! Wish I had it…
Hope your back improves Mick and thoughts to Gingster and Oops

Good morning everyone from a bright Northampton..
Slept in this morning, probably due to my bad night recently so am late posting today.

Spent most of yesterday in the garden; pulled out the love seat from the pergola, swept the cobwebs off and gave it a good clean, then pruned back the overgrown shrubs behind it. Cleaned the sundial,.scraped the moss off it; I can see the numbers now! Then I staked the peonies, which had got tall and top heavy, and tied in the climbing rose.

After all that I had a good couple of hours in the sunshine reading more of 'Hamnet'.

Off to the cinema this afternoon again, can't remember what I am wtching, but using one of the 6 free tickets you get when you take out a membership. Will get an early bus, as I have a bit of shopping to do in town first.

Home to lamb chops for dinner and a glass of red wine.

Juliee, teaching in Siberia sounds intriguing, do tell more!

Happy 🌞 Sunday to all.

Taichinan Sun 28-May-23 10:45:05

Aaaaargh! I've lost the long chatty witty and amazing post I've just written! (I can say that now because there's no way I can write that again, and you'll never know otherwise 😉)

Good morning from what is a cloudier and cooler day today on the Angus coast. Yesterday was a bit of a scorcher though and I snoozed part of the afternoon away sitting by the pond listening to the trickling if the little waterfall and the twittering of the birds.
I'm late this morning thanks to being awake half the night after a very unsettling dream. Although it's not been on my mind, it is coming up to the anniversary of a terrible time seven years ago when my Partner and my DD's husband died within four days of each other, both of totally unexpected heart attacks. I think that's what must have prompted the dream.
Nothing to do with the above, but DD is coming over later to show me her new car and we're going out for a meal together, just the two of us, which will be a first - and lovely! The car I can't wait to meet - it apparently speaks 🤣🤣. I am definitely behind the times and dropping further behind by the minute.
I'm off now to read all your posts. Keeping as always Urms, gingster and Oops in my mind; Mizuna too.

Grandmabatty Sun 28-May-23 10:49:23

Julie удачи. It sounds like a wonderful experience for you

Greyduster Sun 28-May-23 10:52:31

Blimey, Juliee did you stick a pin in a map?? That’s going to be one heck of a journey! The very best of luck to you, I hope you enjoy very minute!

Grammaretto Sun 28-May-23 11:14:39

Happy anniversary to you both grandmachrissy I hope you manage to celebrate 💐

Oh dear Mizuna that's very 😞 bad
Can't you ask a neighbour to get essentials? Take it easy and enjoy the enforced rest

When I had big surgery the surgeon told me I was not to lift anything heavier than a kettle for 6 weeks or I would dislodge his beautiful stitches and if I had to have a repair he could not promise it would be good enough.
I had a Helpx to stay and she was brilliant. Highly recommended.
