Disposable toilet seat protector

I have to share this. I'm quite cock-a-hoop about it.

Ok here's the background to it......I thought absolutely NOTHING of popping into a public toilet. Never sat upon the seat, swarmed with invisible germs, always hovered above the seat, not a problem.

Fast forward to recent years.

Hovering is out of the question ( no need to blather on explaining why ) so I used lengths of loo paper to lay upon the seat for protection this enabling me to sit and wee. That was until for some unknown reason, when standing up a strip of loo paper ended up tucked into my bloomin pants!

Sooooooo ( yes i will get to the punchline) I thought they must sell disposable toilet seat protectors AND THEY DO.... AMAZON....

SOOOOOOOO I ordered some and made a special little pouch for them to go in... pop it in my bag and now visits to a public loo are noooooo longer a problem ( and no more dangling strips of loo paper protruding from my attire !!!!)

Yeahhhhhhhh I'm cock-a-hoop.... 😃

I can see what the problem is - not getting in a fret about germs but just not wanting to get up with someone else's piss all over my thighs - fussy me!

It is very bad for us to hover. If you Google hovering over the toilet seat you will find it can lead to UTIs and weaken the pelvic floor. I wipe round the seat with a bit of toilet paper and sit down.

I carry anti viral handwipes. A quick wipe over the door handle inside the cubicle, another wipe over the toilet seat to avoid hovering, put the wipes in the sanitary bin and all is well in my world. Well, it is as long as there is soap by the basin. We all do what we’re comfortable with, fine by me.

I really don’t get the issue with sitting on a loo seat . I wipe the seat with loo paper if it’s wet . Do the business and wash my hands thoroughly afterwards. I wouldn’t waste paper lining the seat nor do I use wipes (terrible for the planet ) since covid I carry antibacterial gel .
Having used holes in the ground in India and turkey and disgusting loos at festivals, I’m not fazed by public loos .

I’d have to put clean clothes on, Dogsmother. As long as a loo seat is dry, that doesn’t bother me. The thought of wandering round with clothes that have been contaminated, esp if you’re caring for small people, gives me the heebie jeebies!

We all have our little foibles, don’t we? smile
