(51 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright with a grey sky but remains dry here in brackley this morning.
Today , hopefully usual routine with a small local shop and then Bicester ,and maybe buy some Fish & Chips n way home .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning sunny 🌞 today .It's my oh birthday today nothing planned family get together on Sunday at dd,s her partner does a lovely barbecue so looking forward to that dd and Gc coming for lunch xx
Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is quite grey here, but hoping it will change and be sunny later.
Yesterday we did a small shop, as I was feeling wiped out after two busy medical days. Later, I did manage to get my three small plants put in the pot and hope they thrive. I have also started knitting "Fish and Chip" jumpers again, using up my left over wool.
Found out that I have had a Premium Bond win, so that will more than pay for the new garden bench. Now to find a cushion for it.
Sending love and hugs to all the poorly ones.
Have a good day one and all.
Good morning all from sunny Lancashire. Another day of not much planned, apart from enjoying the good weather while we can 😊
Have a good day all, thoughts with those going through challenging times🌻🌻🌻
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast. A very sunny Sunnyside as the sun has shone for days.
My DD returns to the south today and had good news this morning, her application for a mortgage for her new larger flat there has been approved so we are very pleased. At the moment she is in a studio flat and the new one has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. I’m looking forward to staying with her.
I started watching Decline and Fall from 2017 on Amazon, last night, very amusing.
Thoughts to all with troubles and will read through later.
Good morning from Essex by the sea. The sun is trying it's best to shine but it looks very cloudy and there is still a cold wind.
Bed changed and bedding washed already, DH's thick jacket is next.
I may go out for a walk later and the floor needs a vacuum.
I will go with DH for a drink at the yacht club this evening. It is Regatta weekend so lots going on during Saturday and Sunday.
Enjoy Friday everyone xxx
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. Yesterdays promised sun barely happened, it glinted out around dinner time after a rather cool grey windy day which caused me to dig out a sweater.
I still carried on putting away my winter things. I have far too much really but it covers holidays in all sorts of climes.
Not a lot planned for today except for getting out in the garden and planting and, inevitably, watering. My newish plantings of the last 2 years are suddenly taking off especially my shrub roses which are threatening to get big, big, big!
Enjoy the day, wishing all a bit of sun and no NE winds.
Good Morning Mick and all from another day of cloud and wind in Oxfordshire, like lots of us the sun comes out in the afternoon, but you need to find somewhere out of the wind if you want to sit out.
Housework today, I overslept this morning so a late start but I must get cracking on it, it won’t do itself.
Freezer to sort out, time throw away the bits and bobs that might make some soup as I can’t be bothered and really it’s too warm for soup even though the heating is on again this morning.
MissOops popped over yesterday with Nephew to see MrOops on his birthday, she has lost over half a stone and does look so pale and drawn but she is determined to stay at her home, so let’s hope she takes it easy and has a chance to rest up.
MrOops thanks you for the good wishes yesterday.
Have a good day everyone, hope all those with poorly families and poorly selves get some relief and can have a good day.
Good morning from a now bright & sunny Sefton after a cool & dull early morning start.
2 Zoom classes this morning, hang out washing, a shower & hair wash then off to town on the train. Lunch will be a movable feast fitted in as & when. Salmon & salad for tea, quick & easy. Have become a very lazy cook.
Hope your day goes as planned.
Good Morning, the sun is playing hide and seek here in Co Armagh, last painting class shortly ! I get paint everywhere so keep the same disreputable cardi and shirt for these sessions , but the last class is more of a get together and chat , so I better dress accordingly?
I’ve opened the greenhouse , not a flower , never mind a tomato , to be seen !
Oh well onward and upwards , k
I got brave yesterday and wandered up the hill to Mass , needless to say I remembered our poorly and sad friends and lit candles , I usually do online Mass , not sure which makes me happier
Good morning from a sunny Durham. DGS1 had an early start today - I’m worn out already! Have booked slots at a local zoo, then we’ll call in and see DGS2 before I drop him off at home. I forecast exhaustion and an early night later!
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A broken night, but managed to get back to sleep. Hence, I am late this morning. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire - I hope it’s warmer than yesterday. It will get the mower out for the front, do a bit of food shopping, and have a walk in the country park later.
Have the best day you can folks. A hug for any who are not feeling their best.
I've got a Zoom this morning and then the site of removal of Alien Lump to be inspected from under its coverings.
Morning from a part sunny S Yorks, which is better than the 4 days of gloom there has been.
I don't do a summer/winter clothes swap over as they all fit in wardrobe and drawers. Convenient in our climate. But I'm a other who sadly said goodbye to a certain size, off to the charity shop, and replaced by some new, (trousers) and some more charity shop choices which has been fun. (mainly tops and skirts).
Hope the very tricky hospital visits go well, and bests for poorlies, and may todays outings and meet ups be enjoyed.
Good morning all from sunny Angus by the sea where in spite of the sun it's freezing! My summer and winter clothes have been doing the Hokey Cokey for weeks now.
Nothing to report from here as I'm still tired after my no-sleep night on Wednesday. No doubt some enthusiasm will show itself later but if not a lazy day in the sun (out of the wind) is forecast.
Have a good day all x
I'm a late starter today, but have enjoyed a night's sleep without waking, tossing and turning for hours. Feel so much better. A cup of tea, quick look at Gransnet, and then off to shower and start the day. Nothing planned - the day can unfold before me, which is wonderful as the weekend is going to be busy.
Have a good day, all on GN. x
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and partially sunny. It bodes well for the rest of the day. Susan I feel stressed just thinking about your hospital visit! I hope it goes well for you.
Yesterday was the last art class of the session and I'm really pleased with my oriental poppy's progress. I will finish it at home now with pastels. I had the boys in the afternoon and dgs2 turned into a toddler thug overnight! Oh my goodness, what a little devil he was yesterday. I'm hoping it's a phase he gallops through quickly. I visited mum later and she had been up in her chair again which is good news.
Today I'm doing nothing! I seem to have been at everyone's beck and call all week, so I'm going to potter and sit out in the garden and add to my painting. Roast chicken for dinner. Have a good day all
Another grey morning which should morph into a lovely afternoon if yesterday is any guide. Dentist for a scrape and polish and later a facial, so what passes for a busy day though I will give the oldies coffee morning a miss. Lots of busy people on here this morning so I hope that everyone’s plans work out.
Good morning from a grey corner of Wiltshire, dull skies this morning.
Yesterday I walked the dog from the village, taking the car part way because I can’t do the whole thing now.
It was really chilly but lovely to see all the wild flowers in the fields and hedgerows. It was the first time I’ve done that route for a while and I definitely struggled although it wasn’t that far.
Needing to limit myself is difficult.
I went to art group in the afternoon, only 4 of us but we had a lovely time.
Today housework and some gardening, tidying up the tulip foliage etc and preparing for planting out the seedlings I grew.
I hope today goes well for you all x
Good morning from grey Harrogate with a threat of sunshine. It’s been so cold recently. I’m hoping for sunshine today. We have DGS will probably take him to Harlaw Carr Gardens. He likes looking at ‘growing’ flowers. He likes an ice cream cone even better! And I believe there is a play area for children.
Yesterday I washed most of the cushion covers and ironed them, they are ready to put back on the pads. Today will depend on dgs if I get any housework done
Have the best day possible folks
Good morning from a grey and overcast Northampton, looking very windy out there, but sun forecast this afternoon. I have been on the point of swapping winter/summer clothes a few times now, but with this chilly wind I am reluctant.
My usual shopping trip today, with coffee and a snack in M&S first. Only a few things to get, but it is a nice outing. Thinking I may make a chickpea and potato curry tonight.
Spent yesterday afternoon after dance classes selecting and booking the excursions for my upcoming cruise to Iceland. Did a bit of research on the laptop first, and hoping I have chosen well.
A cat sitting on my lap is making it difficult to write this(!), so I shall wish everyone a very good day.

Good morning everyone, times are flying past
Marydoll like you my clothes no longer fit due to the stroke I had a few years ago I’ll have great pleasure in shopping for new clothes as I’ve booked a five day break with a company who provide carers
Have a lovely day all my gn friends 🥂🥂🥂
multic, I had too many clothes in the first place! You should have seen DH's face this morning, when I mentioned a pair of lilac shoes I had seen and lusted after.
. #Imelda Marcos.
Good morning all from a dull Black country, heating come on yet again.
Housework today and then meeting friends at the club later.
Will catch up with everybody's happenings later tablet needs charging.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Stilllearning
*Ash*, I’m tempted to ask if they is enjoying it😂!
Not as much as I enjoyed watching him, Stilllearning! Actually, I’m wearing it now as we’re having a chilly start in the static!
We had a giggle about your DH, cornergran, wearing your jeans. Actually, I’ve just remembered another incident when DH accidentally mixed up my knickers with his and he wondered why they didn’t feel right. They were black but with pink ballet shoes on the front. He is a great lover of ballet but there are limits! 🩰
