Good morning all from a muggy Glasgow, where its already 18°C. I'm already feeling the effects of this.
Mick, you are very fortunate to have good care. My neighbour with bowel cancer last year, came home and never had any home visits, he had to visit the surgery. His chemo tablets were delivered by courier.
I hope you have some kind of support in place to help with daily living, it can't be easy on your own.
It will be a very gentle day for me. I'm fretting, because Dollie goes on holiday tomorrow and I'm not well enough today to see her, before she goes. DD dropped off her holiday pocket money for me yesterday, because I'm not allowed to drive until this latest episode settles down.
A lovely day was spent with DD yesterday, I tried to have a difficult conversation with her, but she metaphorically had her fingers in her ears.
I have decided to write a letter, it's easier.
After my meds were delivered and she had done my shopping, she took me for a cuppa at the garden centre, ( Kalu, the one near you), I thought I was OK and was so glad to be out, but very slow. Thank goodness there were lots of garden benches spread about.
A mental shopping list was composed for a later date, when I shall drag DH for a visit, under the pretext of treating him to lunch. DD purchased an Easter Island head planter, which apparently DS had always wanted. Frankly, I find them creepy.
However, on arriving back home I was very sick and slept for two hours. It was all too much for me.
Harri, I hope you feel better as the day goes on and your lunch goes well, Sar.
Have a good day, folks.
