Good morning all from a very wet Glasgow, where its only 13°C.
Mick, I know it is difficult to accept, but it will take ages for things to settle down.
There are a few on this thread, who have been through similar and I'm sure they will reiterate this and be able to reassure you.
Ash, we used to have fire extinguisher training, when I was teaching, I was always the first to volunteer to try them out and remember once soaking our janitor, who was at the other end of the playground, I didn't realise how far the range was. 🤒
It was even more fun, when the fire service 🚒 came. Oh those uniforms! 😉
Today is Mr MD's birthday. Normally, we would be out and about on trip doon the watter or into Glasgow for lunch, but I'm still really struggling. Instead DD and SIL will come for takeaway and DH has asked if we could go and visit Babydoll, depending on how I am. We will of course get a video call from his our beloved Dollie, who is having a ball in Villamoura. 💚
The children have all clubbed together to buy him a beer dispenser, complete with mini kegs. I will now need to rearrange my kitchen to accommodate it, for it will obviously take pride of place and my Kitchen Aid will literally be knocked off its place on the shelf. 😔
I had to hide it in the spare room, under a pile of charity bags.
I have wakened with the most horrendous cough and no amount of chest physio is clearing it, so we will play it by ear.
I have convinced myself that this is in fact a good sign and my medication is starting to clear my lungs. # Hope springs ever eternal! 😉
Enjoy your cycling.
I spoke too soon about my new heart meds, my BP has shot up again and there were a few heart episodes yesterday. C'est la vie! However, there are no side effects as yet from the biologics, that's a first!🤞
Yesterday the Ebay Queen phoned me as soon as the golfers left, ( her DH and mine play together).
She had noticed I hadn't been about and that my car hadn't moved. She was shocked at my news, as DH had said nothing to her DH! I wondered why my friends were so quiet. Men!
While we were chatting, I said I wasn't feeling too good and would need to cut the call short. At that point the phone went dead. I tried to phone her back, but couldn't get through. Then the landline rang, it was her, thinking I had collapsed, because she couldn't get through me on my mobile. There were a few @#x*s, she had got such a fright.
It was my other friend across the road's birthday yesterday, but I had to send DH across with her gift, I was too dizzy. I then got a really sad text from her. Her SIL, who has a poorly baby and a daughter in Dollie's class has been recently diagnosed with MND, has deteriorated so dramatically he is not expected to live beyond Christmas. 😪
Our families ( including EB queen) have all been friends for forty years and I have taught some of the children and their friends.) Life is so cruel.
For those of you who have faith, please keep this family in your prayers.
For those on holiday, enjoy and thoughts and prayers for all the poorlies. I got a PM from a poster, I don't know, yesterday, what a lovely lady. Thank you.
P.S. grandMattie, I too love shocking pink and can wear it, now that my hair is no longer carrot orange!
