I submitted a test 3 weeks ago and got the email yesterday with all the results.

I’m hooked, it’s all so fascinating, I have already had a message from someone I share DNA with in Australia.

If anyone is thinking of doing this I highly recommend, the technology is so good, everything is well presented on the website and easy to understand.

As someone who is 75% Irish there is a lot to trawl through!
No big surprises yet other than a relation who is genetically linked to both sides of my family!

Mmm I also had a DNA kit as a birthday gift 🎁 when the results came through my Maternal side showed no surprises all Anglo Saxons - Viking descendants .
Paternal a whole different ball game 🙈 being the eldest of a number of siblings my Paternity is different, saying that T this point none of them had tested their DNA . Mine however opened a whole case of worms . The person my DM named , the person she was engaged to . Allegedly cannot be my Father - as my paternal dna is 50% Indian - didn’t see that coming !
Based on what I knew / was told by my DM with documents to back up I have done a whole family tree on my paternal side .
What now wipe it all . I have no chance in hell of finding that 100% Indian Man who was my sperm donor 🤔🤔😂
Only shared with one sibling so far - I’ll be berating our DM when I do & upsetting more than one of them 🙈

Keffie12 Interesting to read yours & others posts re 1st-2nd cousins . After I had my DNA done one of my Sisters was promoted to do so . We are Half Sisters /StepSisters sharing the same Maternal DNA only . The results threw up that we are 2st or 2nd Cousins!!
Making me question the 1st 2 ms Cousins who show up on my paternal side , they could in fact be siblings !
Unfortunately I haven’t managed to get any responses as yet . The closest ie highest with 9% match is a university professor in the USA 🤔
My paternal dna threw up mine as 50% Indian - which was/ is still a complete & utter shock !!! 🙈🙈🙈
