Crikey, I studied Endgame by Samuel Beckett for my dissertation at university, in French.
The book was about a family on a path to decay and destruction, and if I remember there was a character, Clov, maybe like Charles, who was full of sorrow and pain. The main theme was the family's inability to communicate, parent with child, and to find peace with each other.
For me, the title is no accident, and has parellels, though I'm not sure Scobie, Harry and Meghan know much about 20th century European literature.
Keep writing this trash Scoobie if you must. What you don't realise is that in the end, what you say is all ABSURD anyway. That's the point, no one is taking any notice.
Sounds like he's definitely got his ideas from the original Endgame then. Maybe in the same way H&M are basing their next film/book/podcast/whatever on Great Expectations and Miss Havisham. Don't any of them have any original thoughts?
