Good Morning Everyone,
I slept to my usual sleeping pattern last night .
I am trying to get the manager of the building to pick up my prescriptions .
Hopefully things improve soon as to health .
Take Care,
Mick

Perhaps she is. Sad that she should take her distress on someone who has never badmouthed her..
The post has now been removed at my and several other posters’ request.
End of story!

All the best gM I always look forward to your posts

Marydoll Sat 08-Jul-23 15:56:16

Calpurnia is not a new poster, she has asked for and received support in the past.
Perhaps she is not in a good place just now.

Georgesgran Sat 08-Jul-23 15:30:56

Calpurnia. - apparently your namesake was a shy and humble woman - pity you aren’t. Uncalled for post, maybe continue to read rather than post, until you get to know others better?

GM - you go girl!! X

GrannySomerset Sat 08-Jul-23 15:25:52

How sad to be the person with neither understanding nor sense of humour. We love your comments, gM, and take them in the spirit in which they are written. Don’t change!

ixion Sat 08-Jul-23 15:21:28

GrandMattie 👋
DLTBGYD 😊

Mizuna Sat 08-Jul-23 15:08:54

Yep, we had a warden too gM and she used to check on us every day and would walk in unannounced as she had a key to our flats. Aaaargh. Glad you're ok.

grandMattie Sat 08-Jul-23 14:55:20

I am very touched about your concern and thank you all for your lovely comments about me.
I was taken aback by the tone of Calpurnia’s post but feel sad that s/he has nothing better to do and no sense of humour , to spend time picking on me.
I’m not perfect and often end up with my foot in my mouth - of course, the “inmate” comments include me. It’s a bit of fun, we all feel slightly institutionalised from the sort of attitude of the warden. Yes, that is her title!
Thank you again.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 08-Jul-23 14:09:47

Blimey what an uncalled for post, Calpurnia

grandMattie please carry on regaling us with news of your inmates

I will post my news tomorrow.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 08-Jul-23 13:51:43

I hope GM realises how much she is loved and admired even by people who don’t post here. She is an inspiration.

dragonfly46 Sat 08-Jul-23 13:45:55

Totally unnecessary post * Calpurnia* I suggest you work on growing a sense of humour.

karmalady Sat 08-Jul-23 13:45:21

calpurnia, what on earth is wrong with you? This is the kindest and most supportive thread on granset, one of the few threads that did not have a nasty poster, until you came along

GM is a much loved and greatly admired person and we enjoy her straightforward sense of humour. She makes us smile

The post is still there and I am also going to report it

Jaxjacky Sat 08-Jul-23 13:40:08

An unnecessary and nasty post Calpurnia.
I suggest you take your Grandmothers advice and leave gMattie who is jesting at herself with her neighbours, alone.

Jan16 Sat 08-Jul-23 13:35:45

I too read most days but seldom post as I still think of myself as a “newbie”. I am appalled by Calpurnias post. Although she says she reads regularly surely if she did she would know how much sadness and trauma GM has had in the past couple of years and how amazingly she has coped. To pick on GM shows how insensitive Calpurnia must be.

Kate1949 Sat 08-Jul-23 13:28:47

I read this thread every but seldom post. Calpurnia that was totally uncalled for and rather nasty.

Marydoll Sat 08-Jul-23 13:22:58

I have reported too!.

Marydoll Sat 08-Jul-23 13:22:21

I am shocked to read this despicable post on what is usually such a supportive thread, bile directed at a still vulnerable poster.
You should be ashamed, Calpurnia.
By using the term revered, in what I suspect is not meant in a positive way, you have shown that your post was personal.

Perhaps take your own advice on board, if you can't say anything pleasant about someone, keep quiet.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 08-Jul-23 13:20:08

I don’t post here either but generally read.
I was shocked to read Calpurnia’s post and own up to having reported it so that suspicion doesn’t fall on anyone else if GN delete it.
Perhaps Calpurnia you should take your granny’s advice.

Mizuna Sat 08-Jul-23 12:55:02

Well said everyone. gM for what it's worth I always referred to myself as an inmate when I lived in a similar situation, as did some of the other residents. We had a good laugh about it. I really, really hope gM that this doesn't get to you - you are well loved and respected here.

Anniebach Sat 08-Jul-23 12:46:55

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Grandmabatty Sat 08-Jul-23 12:44:15

Calpurnia your post is seriously out of order. GM uses the term you take umbrage with lightheartedly. Clearly you have had a humour bypass. Leave a much loved and respected contributor free from your bile.

Taichinan Sat 08-Jul-23 12:43:44

Calpurnia if you have an issue with grandmattie then you should pm her and discuss the matter with her privately. Grandmattie please just carry on as you are - you're lovely as you are - and don't be upset by this ❤️

Ashcombe Sat 08-Jul-23 12:25:15

Calpurnia: I have received several kind and supportive messages from many members, including the lady concerned. Perhaps you would consider requesting that HQ remove your post before she reads it. If you read this thread regularly, you must be aware of what she has suffered in the past two years and that she has bravely downsized and relocated to her present home.

Auntieflo Sat 08-Jul-23 12:00:23

Good morning all, just.
I was going to post my tuppence worth, when I read Calpurnia's post re GrandMattie, and was so bemused.
GM, is the kindest person, and I'm sure she refers to herself also as an inmate.
Now I've forgotten what I wanted to say. Blast it.
Never mind.
Mick, sorry to hear your problems regarding your prescriptions.
Annie, and all, have a good weekend.

EkwaNimitee Sat 08-Jul-23 11:44:52

Just an irreverent little joke from GM I’m sure, in which she probably includes herself!
