Good morning all from Glasgow, where its only 10°C.
You seem to be on the mend, but just be careful Mick, I get the impression you haven't been out much, so far. You will be surprised how weak, you may feel, take a walking stick with you, if you have one.
GM, I'm so pleased to hear you are developing a social life, it takes courage to start afresh at our age, I couldn't do it.
I am having a quiet day, in preparation for the funeral tomorrow. I decided yesterday to look for a pair of dressy black shoes, I am ashamed to say I found five, 😊, a throwback from my teaching days but I don't think I will be able to walk in any of them! Let's just gloss over the number of black flats I found! 🤣
My PC my faithful friend has been acting up for ages and just when I was in the middle of some parish admin, it packed up totally.😡
After two hours faffing about, ( another two hours of my precious time lost) I managed to get it running again. DH was most impressed (as was I 😉), I felt quite pleased that I haven't lost my touch.
This time a week ago, I wouldn't be able to do so. Progress healthwise is being slowly made.
Yesterday DH accompanied me to collect my prescription, which I had put in last week. I'm a little unsteady on my feet, so he is wary of allowing me out on my own.
After queuing in the street, ( computers down) it was like during Covid days, we queued again inside the tiny pharmacy, which was being extended. I'm so glad DH was there to hang on to. Much to my dismay, the pharmacist came out to tell me that my GP had forgotten to sign one of my scripts, which happened to be a CD. 😡 There were so many of them, I checked the contents, but foolishly didn't check the signatures. A lesson learned.
Queue a phone call to the surgery, which is miles away. Thankfully, I have an appointment on Thursday, so will get it then.
What was strange, was that four different doctors had issued the scripts.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and good wishes and prayers for all, who are struggling. for a
