I don't really think that Young Girl is dodgy, he is sending her away.

Yes, many lyrics are definitely 'dodgy' but we still enjoy singing and listening to them. In fact Delilah and Young Girl are often sung at out Tuneless choir sessions. They are fun to sing and the choir leader has mentioned the dodgy lyrics but we still sing them and as with all choirs, feel better for it! There are many songs with risqué lyrics but none come to mind at the moment. Will have a think and come back 🤔

‘Young Girl’ has always ‘sounded dodgy’.

It’s blatantly about underage sex, at best; paedophilia at worst - ‘my love for you is way out of line’

I've just been listening to Young Girl (Gary Puckett) in the radio and the lyrics now sound decidedly dodgy? Apparently Tom Jones is no longer allowed to sing Delilah as it glorifies domestic violence. And Wives And Lovers (Jack Jones) makes me very cross.
Any more you can think of? I'm not seriously bothered - they're all cracking good tunes!
