Good morning from East Yorkshire where we have a grey sky but it’s quite warm.

I’ve woken up feeling like I need more sleep. The GC wore us out yesterday but were a delight and no trouble at all. Gs just loves the beach and it was the first time for gd who was unsure at first but got stuck in playing with the beach toys. We ended the day at a nearby well known ice cream parlour. I shared a banana split with gs as they are huge. Unfortunately gd had fallen asleep in her pushchair and missed it all!

A housework catch up today and a visit from the family later this afternoon before they go away on holiday.

Hoping you will feel better soon Susan and thank you for your comment yesterday.

Good morning all from a partly sunny Glasgow. I have been awake for ages, due to shoulder pain. DH 💕 has brought me a heat pack, now I'm too hot!

Glad to hear your test was negative, Grammaretto, and hopefully your migraine will settle LLFL. They are an awful thing to experience.

I plan to do little today, apart from parish safeguarding admin, (organising Disclosures and training)
Tuesday's adventures caught up with me yesterday, I was fit for nothing and don't feel too great today either. However, it was allworth it, I have no intention of sitting moping and plan to do as much as I can, but before I am unable to do so.

Dollie had a great first day back at school, she is sitting next to my friend's granddaughter, just like my daughter and my friend's daughter did many years ago. The circle of life!

Best wishes for all the hospital appointments and enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

Morning from a sunny south east. Yesterday’s visit to RHS Hyde Hall was good. We stopped for tea and cake and settled at first outside but soon retreated indoors to escape the wasps which wouldn’t leave us alone.
No outings today, DH is busy on house maintenance, involving ladders, so I’ll be keeping a watchful eye.
Good wishes to all.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Carlisle where it is due to get warmer soon.

I was up earlier today as I'm off for a fitting of 24 hour ECG equipment. There will hopefully be a normal result and then I can go ahead and book holidays, no insurance company wants to know if you are awaiting a first diagnosis for a new condition. I had to give up on the NHS where there is 8-10 week waiting list. Private-next day, cardiologist, next week! Shouldn't be like this but it is.

Have the best possible day everyone.

Good morning all from a grey Angus coast - apparently I'll be saying the same tomorrow and reporting rain on Saturday.
Mick I'm glad the Wiltshire meals suit you - give you effortless variety and no shopping for ingredients.
I don't envy you that heat for your performances Ash!
Five little girls will involve a lot of squealing - kitty! DD and Newman have found that their five teens have multiplied as all but one now has a steady partner - but no doubt their get-togethers will be quieter as they'll all be on their phones 😂
Hope your migraine clears soon LLfl. Safe travels again later.
Love the picture of your reflections Mizuna. You'll be glad of the shaded rooms in the heat as well.
I have just seen a small flock of Canada geese flying over and down to the Basin, a sure sign that autumn is on its way. The Canada geese are just stopping off here en route to further north, but the main 'geese event' doesn't start until the second week in September when tens of thousands of pink feet fly in. The noise as they cackle to each other in flight is something else again! I love it.
That photo of the sand dune yesterday was so like the approach to my favourite beach here Marydoll. Going down is never a problem, but ...... Let's just say the view on the way back up is much and frequently admired!
Now, today is Tai chi again. It's the long-serving advanced class this morning where we are advancing together rather than me being ahead and leading. We have some good discussions though!
Have a good day everyone and enjoy the sunshine x

Morning everyone from a party cloudy but warm north Kent.

We watched the football in the morning with DD so the noise level was somewhat elevated; what a game and they did us proud. Yesterday’s other highlight was a visit to our local theatre venue to see Grimthorpe Colliery Brass Band. A fantastic evening with some wonderful music by brilliant musicians with some humour and jokes thrown in for good measure.

This morning is taken up with a visit to my manicurist where we not only put my nails in good order, but catch up on gossip and chat. Then a visit to a local shopping centre for DH to collect some new shoes he has ordered. Might venture into one or two establishments!

Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning from a lovely sunny Shropshire.
Morrisons due in an hour, everything there in the order which is good.
Got my 14 day heart monitor on Tuesday.
After a trying time trying to fit it in the correct place- not easy watching a video and sticking it on at the same time got there.
Now I’ve got over the feeling it will fall off every time I lean forward it’s fine, just hope it tells the Consultant what is going on.
Lawn cutting later as rain is due tomorrow then cricket to watch this afternoon.
Wishing everyone a nice day and thoughts to those with troubles and worries.

Good morning from sunny-with-a-warm-breeze Sefton.
Having had a most industrious afternoon yesterday in the garden, we’re due some down time with our friends: Mr. G’s going into the city to enthusiastically discuss football and politics with his whilst I take tea and cake with mine in a local setting.
Love the photos, ladies. Have a good day, whatever your plans. Thoughts to those struggling.

Good morning everyone from a brightening Northampton, lots of sunshine promised today.
Had a pleasant afternoon at the well-being cafe yesterday, lots of people there; afterwards my friend and I visited the garden centre as she needed new plants; there were a few bargains to be had on the reduced counter so she went home happy.

Decided to cut the grass when I got back, after three weeks growth it certainly needed it, and wow, it was hard work. I had to raise the cutting blade. Luckily the batteries lasted just long enough to finish the job. I think it will need doing again in a few days, but hopefully that will be easier. I have lots of pruning, weeding and tidying up to do, so my weekend is taken care of..

Dance classes today after an early lunch, and a stir-fry is on the menu for dinner tonight.

Hope all have a good day.

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. Another sunny day here, and with the kitchen window open, I can hear the M4 in the distance. I ought to go and water some of the garden before it gets too hot. On Tuesday, I picked lots and lots of lavender to put in little vases all around the house. There is still plenty left for the bees 🐝.
This morning I have a visit to the hygienist , then this afternoon am driving DH to his diabetic eye check at the local hospital.
Remembering all the folk who are poorly, or are going through tough times.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning from an overcast W Kent. DD2 and GC still asleep. Not sure what is happening today.
Love the photos
Good wishes to all

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
After a lazy day yesterday, today I must stir myself as there is a run through for a concert HERE, our little band of guitarists owing this afternoon. I will tidy up, have a warble and put out some tea biscuits. I buy tea biscuits as I hate them don’t eat them and it means I always have a biscuit for guests.

My garden help hasn’t turned up and the large back patio is a mess.
Also must phone the doc for a blood test.
As always, thoughts to all with troubles.🌹

hollysteers Thu 17-Aug-23 09:31:11

Coming this afternoon 🙄

Good morning from a warm bright Co Armagh, it was nice to be able to out without a cardigan !
Thursday Mass congregation was sadly depleted , but the school will soon be back and we will be joined by a different class on Thursdays , it’s great to see their little faces , I’m afraid I get distracted trying to work out which child is whose grandchild ! Then there was the day I recognised a neighbours great granddaughter!
🕯️ and 🙏🏼 were lit and said for our less than robust

Good morning Mick and all from windy Lancashire. We still have some sunshine but the wind is cooling it down. It feels like autumn now.

Yesterday I had a lovely stroll around the marina, birdwatching and trainspotting. Today I have to visit the blood test clinic, hope it doesn’t take too long. It’s a drop in clinic so can be very busy. I ordered a new dress from John Lewis and it has just been delivered by our local Evri lady. I haven’t unpacked it yet so something to look forward to.

As always thinking of Baggs, Kalu and Urms and all dealing with worries.

Have a good day all.🌻
