Off to Orkney tomorrow for a few days of relaxation and getting the cobwebs blown away! Being going there since six months old when taken to meet my granny and the rest of the family. Generations of my family are from various of the Orkney Islands. Lots of very happy memories but also some sad ones. Not so keen on the crossing though at times it can be a bit rough!!

A late good morning from the edge of S Lanarkshire, a bit of a restless night at DD’s so a late start.

What a beautiful picture Mizuna, really atmospheric, the ships must have been a truly wonderful sight.

As usual, lovely cushions grandMattie, they will add greatly to the children’s play area.

Had a lovely long lunch with two old friends yesterday, a rather more challenging one today.🤞

Hope your DH doesn’t feel so bad as the day wears on baubles, for both your sakes, childminding is not easy.

Glad you got good news Willow.

Wishing everyone the best of days

Good morning from a damp Co Armagh, it’s breezy but not cold
I forgot to close the greenhouse last night , but all seems well this morning
I was up late as I made the mistake of lifting my Kindle! I just had to finish my book

Good morning Mick and all from grey, wet and windy Lancashire. There was a distinct nip in the air first thing. Good that you’re getting back into your routine Mick.

Yesterday’s visit to the blood test clinic went well, though it was very busy and we were there over 2 hours. We’d decided to have a late lunch so poor MrB was getting really hungry. The lady phlebotomist is an old friend after years of taking my blood grin. I log my blood pressure in my medical records every Friday morning using the MyGP app and I’m impressed to see that my blood test results are already on there. The previous results from 6 months ago are also there and I can compare them. There’s a long and complicated list so I’ll go through them this evening. I noticed my cholesterol, never very high, has dropped.

I unpacked my new dress from John Lewis and tried it on. It’s a lovely teal colour, well made and decent quality fabric. The fit is perfect. I ordered the petite size as I am 5ft 1-and-a-bit inches but it’s still more maxi than midi. It will cover the tops of my boots so all good.

Lovely cushion covers Grandmattie.

Great pic Mizuna that must be quite some sight, good luck with the blood tests.

Glad you’re feeling a bit better Grammaretto, hope you don’t have a long wait for the cataract op. There’s no waiting list here, but after my assessment I was told I won’t need an op for several years. I was also told I was legal to drive, but my lack of spatial awareness and inability to judge distance tells me I wouldn’t be safe.

Another lovely pic LadyLFL, hope you are resting after your long journey, enjoy the chicken curry.

Glad the gastroscopy went Ok and nothing nasty found Wyllow.

As always thinking of Baggs, Kalu and Urms and all dealing with worries.

Happy Anniversary to the Dinosaur

Have a good day all.🌻
