Making the most of Happy Days when you have forgotten all your worries and all is good in the world 😊

Ash what a wonderful result. My day was ordinary but so enjoyable. Coffee with friends, managed to visit 4/5 shops without being too exhausted. Waitrose came up trumps and found me an item that wasn't on the shelves. Bought home grown runner beans and rhubarb from Church. Snoozed for only 30 minutes . Had a phone call from a friend. Then watched 2 episodes of a new series with a small glass of rose. Happy days.

Lovely to read all the happy day posts, let's hope we all have many more happy days to come. Sometimes it takes a few not so happy/good days to make us realise and be grateful for all we have☀️

Yes I realised after I posted only happy as your unhappiest child and it's very true isn't it. Anyway hope everyone has a Happy Day and counts their blessings not their woes, friends not their foes, something like that 😊

Counting my blessings this morning as I've just had a beautiful bouquet delivered from Mr S. to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary, and looking forward to going out for a meal this evening.

Oh happy anniversary Smileless. It's ours today too. 54 years! We're going out for lunch. Have a lovely day/evening.

Feeling relief after an horrendous couple of weeks which have been physically, emotionally and mentally fraught! My daughter has been moving as her landlord gave her notice to leave as he is selling. Unexpected and she was totally distraught as she has two dogs and worried about the lack of rentals open to her. Didn’t want to move back home with me again! All sorted now thank heaven but the time getting there has been a nightmare as I am her ‘wing man’ in so many ways! Just relishing feeling peaceful and cautiously optimistic about it all now. And , yes, actually happy today! (As happy as my least happy child-her-anyway!)

My Beloved is out for a couple of hours this afternoon leaving me on my own. I know that sounds horrible, but let me explain.

Beloved is disabled and has issues walking so she rarely goes out, I go out and do the shopping, or we go mad and have it delivered. She might toddle into the back garden on nice days but that's about it. So most days she's in the house 24/7.

Once a week she will go out to a local knitting group, otherwise known as The Coven, for a couple of hours.

It took me a while to persuade her to go in the first place, but I'm really happy to see her going out and enjoying herself. I just wish she could find other places to go.

Enjoying the dry, sunny weather - just got the lawn mown, strimming the rough grass. Bit of a breather and a cold drink before doing the weeding. Too hot to take my dog for a walk so she is 'helping' me in the garden!! Hope to retire to the summer house with my kindle when the gardening is finished.

Very happy moment this morning when recv'd a text from a person I hadn't seen for a couple of years asking how I am. Sounds silly maybe but so nice to think people are thinking about me and taken the time to get in touch.

Glad for those posters who are having a Happy Day and the posters celebrating anniversaries, fingers crossed for lots more happiness coming our way 🤞😊

Went to M&S for some lovely salads for dinner. Also left my car in for some work and they washed and hoovered it.

Met up with a group of friends at a French restaurant in the big city to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our meeting at a further education class. Lovely!

Just been for afternoon tea at the stately home where we volunteer as it closes to the public tomorrow. Stunning , peaceful scenery and excellent company ( not forgetting lovely cake! ) No need to cook an evening meal. Bliss.

Went to a local town to do various things and got chatting with some people from New Zealand holidaying in the UK. Didn’t get any of the things done that we should have done apart from filling up with petrol but it was so nice talking with such lovely people. Restores one’s faith in humanity…

Lovely day at the beach with our 2 gorgeous little grandsons. They had such a lovely time, reminded me so much of our children when they were little - my parents had a beach hut and we spent many happy hours there.

Met youngest son for lunch at the marina on this beautiful sunny day

Feeling very lucky to have had so many good wishes from long standing good friends and my family for my birthday today

Feeling happy and grateful today driving through Germany gradually making our way to ferry and home through different countries, singing along to our favourite music. Appreciate all that I have especially my family.
