Good Morning Everyone, A dark but dry start here in brackley this morning. Today ,once I have taken out rubbish to the various bins , I will get the bus to Bicester do a small shop and also have a coffee and a cake . return for lunch and then relax and maybe do some shredding, before TV. Take Care, Mick
Good morning from a windy Essex coast. I think Autumn has arrived. Happy Birthday to Grandmabatty have a lovely day. I'm having to deal with an 'incident' that happened here on Saturday afternoon when I was in Kent. I hate confrontation but as I am the Secretary and a Director of our Management company it falls to me to deal with it. Wish me luck !!! No other plans for today but must start thinking about what we are going to take when we go to Turkey next week. I hope you all have a lovely day xxx
Good morning from a wet, wet, wet Eden. A visit to the fracture clinic at our nearest city this lunch time ,it will be interesting to see who is braving the weather to stand outside on strike. Fingers crossed they are running on time and we don't have the same 12 hour stint we had in A&E or we will be returning in some very bad weather and rather hungry.I'm planning to take something with us just incase.
Good morning Mick and all from a slightly cloudy Salzburg. We leave this morning and hope there are no flight delays as we had arriving here plus lost luggage. Yesterday my friend did the Festpielhouse tour and I went to the modern art gallery but it was closed. Thundery weather threatened so after an omelette, we visited the impressive but very dark cathedral. I did the old fashioned posting postcard thing which I enjoy. Stamps are only sold at the post office not at various places like the UK so a bit of a bother.
Thoughts as always to all with troubles and will enjoy catching up on your doings later 🌺
Good morning Mick and all from cool cloudy Lancashire where it is currently 15°C and raining.
Yesterday evening I had a pleasant surprise. The errant plumber rang full of apologies, he will be here on Thursday.
I’m not feeling too well today, I have a cold coming on and the weather is playing havoc with my joints. I must get on with a few essential chores but I won’t be rushing.
Thinking of all our ‘poorlies’ and those looking after loved ones.
Not much happening today other than having an eye test then going out for an early dinner with the optometrist who is also my friend. I’m taking the appointment I’d booked for DH but as he’s still has a really bad cough he won’t be able to go.
Happy Birthday Grandmabatty! A very late start for me, I slept like a log last night and awoke when I heard the children leaving for school, hearing aids on the bedside table can be a blessing!
Duly breakfasted, time to iron before heading home, have a good day all.
We are awaiting an appointment for the Memory Clinic. Letter received 3 months ago, saying they will be in touch with a date, but they are not an urgent service, so it could be a while. Think I may ring and chase on my return from holiday next week. She has definitely deteriorated since that letter.
We picked blackberries yesterday but they are mostly very small. I will get some apples and add them to make jelly later.
DD and family are back from their weekend in Largs so we will go round later and hear how they got on.
Liberty, how lovely that your niece has asked you to be her pen pal! I have a friend who writes letters to people living with cancer, through the charity “From Me to You”. She writes delightful accounts of her daily life.
Gingster, that’s lovely about your ‘special’ girl. It must mean a lot to her to have you to share her good news with.
Happy birthday to Grandmabatty - I had forgotten how young you are 😀
Hello everybody - I’m late on parade today as we are at The Christie. Himself is upstairs having his 6th and final iv chemotherapy treatment. It’s been pretty gruelling for him these last few months as I’m sure you can appreciate. He gets a scan next week to see how he is doing. I’m anxious already.
Hope the months of treatment have been effective, Urmstongran. We will all be waiting anxiously for the results of the scan - I hope you can find plenty of distractions over the next week 💐
Matt raises a smile as always (but maybe not if you are in an area with flooding 🙁).
Oh Urms what a stressful time for you. I really hope that the team looking after Himself is pleased with his progress and that there is good news after the scan. 🤞
