Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and dry outside here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday I caught bus to Bicester but returned home due to Diahorhrea problems .
I have now decided to take those leopardine capsules regardless of how I feel as my system slowly recovers .
Today , Bicester is on the cards , I did manage to get my email back yesterday after a phone call to BT.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning ( well, alright afternoon !! ) everyone. Went out late morning to get my flu jab, only to find a long queue at the pharmacy. Easily persuaded that we might as well have lunch out and return this afternoon, we stopped in town for lunch. Of course we then felt the need to recharge at home before going out again later. Due to this long fine spell it’s still very warm out and lovely clear skies.

Catching up with you all, I see that Nannagarra has enjoyed seeing a meonium zwartkopf. I took this photo a couple of evening ago. I have two or three including one that is so entangled with another succulent that it is only a strangely twisted branch.

Best wishes to Marydoll and others suffering from ongoing illness. Including Mick of course.

Late good morning from a sunny Black Country.

Feeling ok, but still testing positive, so another day in grrrr.

Wishing you all a lovely day

Good morning from a sunny but cool Oxfordshire, we are being ‘entertained’ with photos of our friends on the holiday that we should be sharing with them. They say they feel guilty, I’ve studied the photos and can’t see much guilt showing through.
Oh well.
Thank goodness for steroids and Kindle unlimited.
Another day of watching MrOops do the housework, maybe?
Hope everyone who is under the weather, or waiting for hospital appointments has an easier day, if possible.
I am reading the posts but my head is scrambled, so I’m not retaining much info.
Let’s hope tomorrow is a better day for us all.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire where it is currently 15°C.

Today will be similar to yesterday with physio exercises and rest, I didn’t have a very good night.

MrB and I need to sort out our Covid boosters, there are a couple of pharmacies offering a walk in service which means we can both get done rather than making 2 trips.

Thinking of Holly and Ginny today,

Have the best day you can all 🌹

Thinking of hollysteers today💐

Also all the best for tomorrow ginny💐

Good morning from a dry but chilly Sefton.
A bit late this morning but better late than not at all. I have just finished my Zoom aerobics class in which, apparently, we did nearly 3000 steps. I abandoned my Fitbit some time ago in order to remove myself from the tyranny of the "steps".
Yesterday was spent batch cooking beef casserole & ragù. We now have a useful number of more or less "ready meals". Today we are off to meet GD2's school nursery teacher as we will now be doing a regular nursery pickup & staying for our tea 😀. We are all looking forward to spending this regular time together.
Have a good day all.

Good morning from dreich Harrogate
Mick I hope you are listening to the advice given. Glad your DHwill be back with you for Halloween. What a kind grocer*GrandMattie*. We could do with more of them! I do hope one way or T’other you get that heart sorted out Marydoll. Hope yourMRI scan is OK Hula.
Today, once I’ve got the washing out, and acuppa. I’m taking a bus to Knaresborough to the market this am then shampooing a rug this pm
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning all from a stormy Glasgow, the rain is bucketing down with strong gusty winds.

Unfortunately I have an appointment to attend later this morning otherwise I would be going nowhere. Our gardener has had to cancel today’s visit too! #grumpy granny.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Bigred18 Wed 04-Oct-23 09:31:04

It's evening here in Sydney, but I just wanted to say how very impressed I am with how much everyone gets through every day! Well done!

Mizuna Wed 04-Oct-23 09:29:01

Yep, we have lots of those here Nannagarra, I suppose it's the mild climate. They're fascinating, aren't they?

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 04-Oct-23 09:27:58

Morning all from a slightly damp West Oxfordshire. My cellulitis is beginning to clear but I still have a few days of antibiotics left. The side effects aren’t as bad as they were. Shopping today - the cupboard is nearly bare. WI Committee meeting this evening.
Have a good day everyone.

hollysteers Wed 04-Oct-23 09:25:42

Good morning Mick and all from a dull Isle of Man. Lovely day yesterday with DD and DS taking the bus and electric train round the island in sunshine although my wonky tummy made its presence felt…
After a meal at the hotel in the evening, DS had found a nice old pub with a coal fire and we spent time there regaling each other with memories of their childhood, leading to fits of laughter at some of the funny times we had.
Thoughts as always to those with troubles and will read through later🌺

Nannagarra Wed 04-Oct-23 09:23:38

Good morning from bright and dry Sefton.
Newly returned from a holiday in south Devon (where Aeonium Zwartkop caught my eye Mizuna), I need to catch up with everyone’s news. A quick glance prompts me to send best wishes to Ginny and hulahoop. Thinking of those who’d benefit from a virtual hug.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a damp South Yorkshire. I am late to the party; woke at five and went back to sleep! I managed to get a walk out yesterday afternoon to “road test” my new boots, but didn’t feel very well last night; “fluey” and a bit of a sore throat. I won’t go to writers group this afternoon if I can’t shake it off. One or two of our members are elderly and I don’t want to pass anything on. I might have a duvet day.
Thinking of all who are struggling today.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Stilllearning Wed 04-Oct-23 09:15:53

Morning from S Lanarkshire, I suspect there have been a lot of posts which I’ve no time to read just now but I’ll catch up later.

My hospitalised friend is having investigations done today so if anyone has a prayer to spare, pleases think of her.
She has been in for a week in Wishaw General and honestly I can’t believe the conditions, her ward looks like something from the third world. This is no criticism of the staff who are working hard in ridiculously difficult conditions,
Her ward was clearly designed for four people, it is now a six bedded room and she is there in an extra bed so now seven.
Her bed has no curtains which can be pulled round to give any privacy and she has a small handbell to ring if she needs help.
All I could think yesterday was that if Covid gets in there there is absolutely no chance of avoiding it. There was not even room for a seat beside her bed..
The patient in the next bed has sepsis and everyone is sharing one toilet and shower. I am not even describing the half of it.

Again absolutely no criticism of the staff but it’s a scandal.

Wishing everyone the best day possible. Urms, Matt never misses.

hulahoop Wed 04-Oct-23 09:12:14

Hope all goes well Ginny. I have MRI this morning .
Best wishes to all.

GrannySomerset Wed 04-Oct-23 09:11:43

Friend coming for coffee this morning, singing this afternoon, so a nice day ahead. Sorry Marydoll is struggling and hope support materialises soon.

Taichinan Wed 04-Oct-23 09:06:16

Good morning all from a cold-looking grey Angus coast. I have permitted myself an hour with the heating on, now that it's October.
Thinking of all of you with ops either today, or imminently, and trusting all goes well flowers
Glad Olddudders arrived back in France with no problem Ash, and that you have his return date to look forward to. All unpleasant memories will be overshadowed by that I'm sure.
It must have been reassuring to see your mum like that yesterday Grandmabatty - she's obviously being cared for with great kindness and understanding. Glad that little GS behaved - but how annoying about your key! I hope it turns up - the seat wells in the car make excellent hiding places for wayward small objects 😉
Grannysomerset your remark yesterday about tiredness resonated with me! It's so restricting and debilitating, and if it wasn't for that I'd feel ten years younger. Come back energy, all is forgiven!
Now off I must trot to tackle today's ToDo list - what's not done by lunchtime won't get done.
Have the best day you can everyone x

Jaxjacky Wed 04-Oct-23 08:58:27

Morning from a cooler S Hampshire.
A very thoughtful, timely return booked by olddudders ash.
Much relief Pitt.
Thoughts with those having health struggles themselves, or their family/friends, 👍*ginny*.
Yesterday was token housework, walking and Covid jab done, MrJ’s indoor bowls season started.
Today, washing, I need to get some cash out and it’ll be chicken something tonight.

Auntieflo Wed 04-Oct-23 08:55:25

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
I am to have a Covid jab this morning, and must leave before my wonderful cleaner has finished. DH will pay her, and maybe we will go out for coffee later on.
On Monday, when I had done two loads of washing, it absolutely poured down in the afternoon, so it was all left in the line overnight. After airing indoors, I folded it all this morning and it is as soft as anything.
Yesterday I got a real bargain in one of our charity shops. A bag of Aran wool, 16 balls, that will be enough to knit me a jumper, if I can find a pattern that I like. I was wanting some knitting to do whilst TV watching.
There is lots of 'busyness' going on with everybody, so enjoy all that is in store today.
Wishing folk with health problems, all the very best.
Have a good day one and all.

aggie Wed 04-Oct-23 08:55:16

Good morning all from the Black country.
Late up today so haven't read through yet.
Thoughts with Ginny and hope all goes well with her op.
Hope Marydoll managed to get a satisfactory result from her cardiologist secretary.
Need to go to the bank today the last day before it shuts its doors for good, all the staff will be switched to other branches.
Carvery booked for later so no cooking yippee.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
