Good afternoon Kitcheners. I’m feeling better, sleeping lots and not fretting about things left undone. I hope you feel better soon Ladyleftfieldlover, I have never had Covid so I guess the vaccine is doing its job.
Hope your back is better Rosiesmaw and the PF is easier. Gait does affect your hips and back, which is one of the reasons why I strive so hard to keep mine as good as possible.
Really glad you had a wonderful holiday and got to spend time with your sisters Grannmarie, your photos are beautiful.
Grandmabatty enjoy your freedom from Grandma duties, I’m sure you will be glad to see them back again.
Time for another nap grin

Blossoming A gentle hug from me to you.

Ladyleftfieldlover Rest. Rest. Rest. And please get well soon.

Scapal and Grannmarie Your photographs are a delight.

The sun is shining the sea is calm and I send all our Kitcheners my very best wishes.

We ventured North today along the motorway to a conservation charity site linked to Bristol Zoological Society. Mr C wanted a motorway drive - he was like an excited child.

I hardly dare mention the warmth and brilliant blue sky we found there after leaving home under thick cloud. Plenty of seats, we walked and sat, walked and sat, repeated as much as necessary. The animals were all on view enjoying the sun. We were very close to giraffes, my absolute favourite. Bought an annual membership while we were there, it supports the charity, we’ll definitely go back as we both enjoyed the space and relaxed atmosphere. I was permitted to drive back smile.

I’m so sorry there are poorly folk. Yes, covid is advancing again, definitely here. Mr C has been asked to test in advance of his next hospital appointment at the end of November, something not required previously this year at other appointments or his surgery.

Flu jabs tomorrow after my annual MoT and blood letting. I’ll be a pin cushion. smile.

Look after yourselves everyone, especially the poorly folk.

Hi to all kitchen pals, we’ve had a good day with the DGC, nothing like we’d planned but we made the most of it anyhow! Unfortunately the Highland Wildlife Park was closed today due to the flooding and the children were disappointed that we couldn’t go. Thank you to a very kind poster who let me know yesterday about the flooded roads in the area
But we made the best of it and had a good day out at the Highland Folk museum instead. There was a Halloween trail that they enjoyed, a playground and lots of interesting things so see. The weather was actually quite warm and the sun came out so we even enjoyed our picnic without too much hassle. Both are safely home now but we’ll be seeing them again in the morning.

Sorry to hear you’ve got covid Llfl hope you’re not too bad and can rest for a few days this week
Gorgeous holiday pictures grannmarie and scapa what lovely holidays you’ve both had
Hope all goes well with your appointment tomorrow corner and what a great picture of the giraffe!

SueD and grandmabatty sounds like you’re getting well ahead for Christmas, unlike me 😳
grandmabatty are you making the red cabbage and freezing it before the big day or is it for enjoying now?
SueD a few christmases ago my DD1 in Cambridge gave me a Christmas cake to take home. My bag was pulled by the airport scanning machines and yes it was the suspect package wrapped in foil that was investigated. I thought it was going to be confiscated as they were joking with me that I couldn’t take it through due to the high amount of brandy in it🤣

My goodness, I've only been away for 3 days, & lots to catch up with in soop's kitchen.
The weather was lovely, warm & dry, (better than August!).

brook, the school holidays in Scotland are 2 weeks ahead of ours here. We're bracing ourselves for visiting DGC for half-term.! smile.

Thinking of you all, especially those with extra worries.

‘Evening All’

I have such WONDERFUL news to share. The latest scan showed that chemotherapy has done a grand job by shrinking all tumours by 50%. The consultant at Christie’s came into the clinic room, grinned and said “well, would you like some good news?”.

Immunotherapy treatment starts tomorrow.

As you can imagine we are on Cloud 9. I had 2 flutes of champagne. My first alcoholic drink in 6 months.

😊
