Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton; another lovely day, so I have plans to cut the grass this afternoon, as heavy rain is forecast tomorrow.

What wonderful news from Urms! I well remember that feeling of absolute relief.

Yesterday afternoon was spent up and down the step ladder in the garden, as I tried to prune the tops of bushes that were somewhat taller than me! There is yet more to do.....

Coffee at a neighbour's three doors away this morning, with neighbours past and present attending; will be good to have a catch-up. Then out to tackle the garden after lunch.

Think I have the beginnings of an eye infection, lower eyelid feeling tender and a bit of swelling, so will see how that progresses; had one in the same eye 6 months ago, and had antibiotic ointment for it. Don't know how I've got that again.

It was almost too hot yesterday on our walk. We did 7 miles!

I have a phone appointment with my solicitor at 10am regarding POA, I made the applicaction in April and heard nothing since.

What wonderful news from - and for - the Urmstons. It has got my day off to such a good start. Fingers crossed for the next phase of treatment.

The joiner took off most of the upstairs doors and has built a new frame for the cupboard for which he is making doors. Hopes to have the new doors delivered before the end of the week so next week will be full on. I am ridiculously excited about it all.

Supermarket and will buy C cake ingredients, also for mincemeat which I will need to make this year. No other plans though.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire where it is currently 15°C.

It’s been very mild here for some days, though not much sun. We haven’t had a great deal of rain, unlike my Aberdeenshire family who have experienced terrible flooding. I hope all our Grans in Scotland are safe and dry.

MrB is collecting my prescription today so I will miss my mini shopping trip to Morrisons. I’m still wobbling about so it’s for the best.

Thinking of all dealing with worries and illness, I hope today brings some relief.

Morning from a dull and damp Dunblane. Good news from Urms. Stocked up with food shopping at Aldi yesterday and had a surprise visit from DD. Today going to be quiet, some ironing to catch up with and a chicken I cooked yesterday to deal with which includes making stock from the carcass. Bought celery yesterday so cream of celery with chicken stock it is.When on holiday we had a lovely soup which was pumpkin with almond milk with toasted almonds on top, may try that soon. Does anyone know if you can freeze almond milk?

A quickie this dreary morning because I’m sniffling and sneezing and making coffee!! Have been spot cleaning the carpet but really needs a good clean - maybe next year!

Had a tiny spot on my nose ‘imaged’ yesterday but the dermatologist thinks it’s just a blood blister. Will have my other moles checked out too, very good service.

The after effects of the covid jab have lifted thank goodness and enjoyed the book group meeting last night although our most amusing member couldn’t make it. Everyone loved Jane Harper’s book, so the chap responsible sat in a cloud of admiration! Three of us gals are working out a night out together.
Music club today, so must photocopy some music and have a warble.

It’s very warm here once more, it will certainly be a shock to the system when the colder weather arrives shortly. Managed to get a few gardening jobs done this morning and will tackle the ironing shortly.
