Everywhere there is bad news be it in the world or at home, in families or within our own 4 walls, its worrying, its sad, its heartbreaking and its beyond our understanding so to lift the dark, depressing and worrying feelings we have I have decided to start an uplifting ๐Ÿ˜ƒ, happy ๐Ÿ˜ƒ, joyful ๐Ÿ˜ƒ and POSITIVE ๐Ÿ˜ƒ thread......

Toooooo much negativity ๐Ÿ˜ช everywhere we look and causes anxiety because there is nothing we can do about some situations. We need to let happy, joy and positive feelings circulate around us, hard I know, but for our OWN sanity we must grab the tiniest bit of positivity as it passes us by.

I will start..... today I have been to see a neighbour who is in a care home and we have had a right laugh and a venture down that wonderful, peaceful Memory Lane ๐Ÿ˜Š and tomorrow I am picking my 2 youngest grandchild up from school and I have bought them a Curly Whirly each ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜‹.

We have had a lovely day. We had 3 grandchildren while their mum had meetings and we are now waiting for DD2 and her family to arrive for dinner and a sleep before they jet off on holiday.

Baby sitting for 2 year old and 7 year old DGSs. 7 year old was very interested in how my opโ€™ went and what did they do. He thinks he might write a story about it.

Serendipity22 Thu 19-Oct-23 21:43:23

Awwwww bless bless ginny, that is so fantastic of him to want to write a story. I can certainly see why that has made your happy

My DD popped round yesterday with her youngest, 10 month old DS.
He's not walking yet, but crawls at some speed and he had me in stitches when I watched him sitting on the floor drinking some milk. He kept throwing his head back to take a swig and I told him to watch his head as the corner of the coffee table was behind him. So he proceeded to thump his little legs on the floor and in doing so turned around in circles!
It seems he does like doing this.
Also, his face was a picture when I unwrapped a Baby-Bel cheese for him, broke some off and gave him a little bit and the rest to mum to hold, but popped a whole one into my mouth! His wide eyed look said it all! smile

I whooped with glee last night, a dress that I have hand made, the third one with yet more tweaks to the pattern, the pattern is now perfect, just perfect.

Lol, the pattern is so roughed up, I will trace it for my tnt file

That is such good news dotpocka, also made my day flowers

Good news, dotpocka!

We're at the edge of the Storm Babet amber warning area and it's been wet and windy since yesterday. Just at the moment the sun has come out and the rain has stopped! ๐ŸŒค

We feel very lucky compared with the poor people in Angus though sad

Such fab news Dotpocka!
This lovely thread seems a good place to share my latest happy find -Anne with an E, on Netflix . The most heart-warming adaptation of Anne of Green Gables, the young actress who plays Anne is a sheer joy to watch.
I often find my self thinking "what would Anne Shirley do" when I need motivation.
Take care , love hearing everyone's good news and thoughts.

Great news Dotpocka !!

Today I am very pleased to have found a Christmas project that I didnโ€™t manage to finish last year. I just couldnโ€™t remember where I had put it.
Will get it finished now for this year although I have a feeling that it might be commandeered by the DGSs1 &2.

Well today has thrilled me with absolute WHOOOOPEEEE I have been to Knaresborough to meet a relative in a cafe.... had lot to choose from on menu but settled for a bacon sandwich and cup of tea ( mmmmm ) then went to see a fabulous inspirational friend who lives literally 5 minutes from the cafe, so all in all today has been perfect and to top it all the weather has been fabulous.

HAPPY DAYS smile

What a lovely thread. Today I had a long phone chat with my teenage GS - all about his college work, his new friends and new part-time job as well as about the football match he was going to. I am so glad that he likes to hear from me and always seems pleased to hear my news too.

Today i had coffee & cake with a really lovely friend, we laughed, we reminisced and chatted in general and I left her home happy, it was lovely.

On the way home there were a courteous driver that added happiness on top of my happiness. Today there are far too many impatient drivers on the road, so its noted in my happy space when I come across a courteous one. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Serendipity22 Mon 23-Oct-23 21:44:51

WAS a courteous driver .... not WERE

I met two friends for lunch and laughter.

I sent a surprise gift to my Brother and Sister in Law as they have been going through a very tough time for quite a while now and had a lovely message back.

An hour later I received a surprise delivery of flowers from friends.

Serendipity22 Sat 28-Oct-23 10:23:21

Oh ginny how lovely is that.
