Everywhere there is bad news be it in the world or at home, in families or within our own 4 walls, its worrying, its sad, its heartbreaking and its beyond our understanding so to lift the dark, depressing and worrying feelings we have I have decided to start an uplifting πŸ˜ƒ, happy πŸ˜ƒ, joyful πŸ˜ƒ and POSITIVE πŸ˜ƒ thread......

Toooooo much negativity πŸ˜ͺ everywhere we look and causes anxiety because there is nothing we can do about some situations. We need to let happy, joy and positive feelings circulate around us, hard I know, but for our OWN sanity we must grab the tiniest bit of positivity as it passes us by.

I will start..... today I have been to see a neighbour who is in a care home and we have had a right laugh and a venture down that wonderful, peaceful Memory Lane 😊 and tomorrow I am picking my 2 youngest grandchild up from school and I have bought them a Curly Whirly each πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹.

I’ve mentioned this Wayfair advert somewhere before but I look at it often because it makes me smile every time.

Thanks for the reminder of The Robin book Spuddy. I’d meant to buy that for myself ages ago

Curtains open ..... almost blinded by 🌞 🌞🌞🌞 🌞

Now if THAT doesn't start the day off with a skip and a jump, I don't know what will.

Enjoy your sunny day everyone 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎

Had a lovely time walking around our local charity shop that has just opened up. It's big and the thing with charity shops is you never know what you might find. I bought a vintage teapot and came home very happy.

Oooo I am addicted to charity shops... Aladdins cave.

Well on Friday the 🌞 was out allllll day, not a cloud in the sky. I went to a shop ( bought a fabulous Mulberry coloured coat ) and a cafe with a friend then home. That experience made its mark because it was a place which was difficult for me to get to and i was a bit apprehensive about going, but me being me ( determined πŸ’ͺ) i went and it turned out perfect.

Just thinking there are some wonderful aspects to this time of year. Seems that meeting with friends is really good, having steaming hot bowls of soup, picking a few evergreens from the garden.
Looking out my books about winter.
Cider with Rosie, Lark Rise to Candleford, somehow this time of year I look back to the past then on to the future.

I overslept this morning and decided I did not have time to go to church. At 09.30 I was puffing away but so happy I made it. To me Sunday is very special

Fairycakes Sun 26-Nov-23 09:54:08

Well done, Poppyjo. I have been too unwell to go to church lately and really miss it. I did manage to get to my son and DILs wedding last month in our church, though it was touch and go. Glad I made it. It was a super day and I have memories I'll cherish forever πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

Very positive words.

Don't dwell on a problem... find a solution.

A lovely weekend with DGSs (2 & 7) while their Mummy and Daddy were away. They were a credit to their parents and so much fun with lots of cuddles too.

Today a happy visit to my Brother and Sister in law who have had so many problems lately but hopefully things are now starting to look up.

Suffering with a bad cold today but I’ve been given 2 photo albums for Christmas so I’ve been sticking in photos of both baby granddaughters. The smiles and joy on their faces washes away the inconvenience of this cold

One of my regular homeless customers at foodbank tells me that he has a home from next week, so he can look for work. He has been sleeping in a tent/ sofa surfing foe three and a half years. His joy was infectious.

Hello , happy to have found this thread.
I was given some homemade shortbread for Christmas and I have finally given in to temptation and had a couple -- absolutely delicious. The rest won't last long now !!!!
