Everywhere there is bad news be it in the world or at home, in families or within our own 4 walls, its worrying, its sad, its heartbreaking and its beyond our understanding so to lift the dark, depressing and worrying feelings we have I have decided to start an uplifting πŸ˜ƒ, happy πŸ˜ƒ, joyful πŸ˜ƒ and POSITIVE πŸ˜ƒ thread......

Toooooo much negativity πŸ˜ͺ everywhere we look and causes anxiety because there is nothing we can do about some situations. We need to let happy, joy and positive feelings circulate around us, hard I know, but for our OWN sanity we must grab the tiniest bit of positivity as it passes us by.

I will start..... today I have been to see a neighbour who is in a care home and we have had a right laugh and a venture down that wonderful, peaceful Memory Lane 😊 and tomorrow I am picking my 2 youngest grandchild up from school and I have bought them a Curly Whirly each πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‹.

My son brought my two grandchildren for a day’s visit (DIL had an inescapable work commitment). They live at the opposite end of the country to me, so I don’t see them all that often. Gorgeous 14-year-old grandson, getting tall now, and enchanting 11-year-old granddaughter. Both very chatty and articulate.

A friend of a dd, in her mid 40s, who has suffered many years of infertility, and so many rounds of unsuccessful IVF, finally had her longed-for baby the other day. πŸ™‚

That is wonderful Witzend.....

Yes, and it was the very last embryo after she’d given up for some time - couldn’t face the heartache and disappointment yet again. But finally thought, well, one last try, and lo and behold….❀️

Wonderful news.Witzend

This morning I went for a walk in the sunshine around some lakes. I walked about 1 and a half miles with just a little back ache by the end. Not bad 3 weeks after my hip op’.

We had a visit from 2 grandchildren this morning. Wolfue wolfed down the final 3rd of DH's cheese bread (a weekend treat) with salted butter and told Pa he would have to eat normal bread. Not much to some people but he has been a really fussy eater since he was weaned.

Off to Waitrose to stockpile cheese bread now.

Love this thread.

This afternoon was FANTASTIC... took my 2 GC to the local garden centre where they have a fabulous Christmas display, then we went to the ice cream parlour afterwards.

Today, I'm reading a gorgeous book: The Robin by Mike Read, Martin King and Jake Allsop. Originally it was Β£9.99 which is still a good price for it but I got it from Amazon for only Β£2.79!

It's a beautiful book! m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51uSEE2vxZL._SY466_.jpg

I LOVE Curly Wurly!

I have been to a fashion show tonight at our local theatre and despite the fact nothing took my eye, the fact that i was there, enjoying the evening with 3 others made it a really happy evening. When its dark, damp evenings all you want to do it close the curtains, turn the fire up and put your warm P.J's on, but tonight i refused to give in and put my lippy on, brushed my hair and joined the fashion show and guess what! I am sooooo glad I did. 😊

Since I was a little girl I have loved the snow scene villages that are set up in garden centres. But they have been so expensive. Today DH treated me to a house, some trees and moving scene hog children sleighing and building a snowman. I can add to it as and when. I feel like a six year old !!!

Well today its cold and miserable outside but I'm far from it, I had a lovely chat with a total stranger. l have been to a shop filled to the brim with Christmas decorations, gift ideas and the aroma of cinnamon, mulled wine and pine , without going from thread to needle, me and this lady got chatting, it was wonderful, 2 passing strangers engaged in a happy conversation.

Made my day πŸ˜ƒ

Good morning everyone! We went into our local Spar yesterday after work. There's a lad who works there ''C'' who always loves us going in, together or singular as we play him up and get him laughing! He's...I don't know, about 25, I'm 58 and hubby is 62.

A few days ago I grabbed a tin of vegan meat balls and hubby said to C ''she does so like getting her hands on some big chunky balls!'' and the lad cried with laughter!

Yesterday he was filling a trolley with food/drink to take back into the staff area. There were cartons of Moo Milkshakes in there so I said to him ''It says on there Moo so here goes...MOOOOO!'' Then I pointed at hubby and said ''well, he calls me and old cow anyway!'' And that was it, C just died laughing!
