Good Morning Everyone,
A dark , dry and cold start this morning in brackley .
Today ,an easy day in will do some lunch, and then relax with TV.
I had plan to get a Chinese take away yesterday , but body decided otherwise .
I am hoping normality returns to my system which could last up to 6 months before normal routines occur .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. I haven’t looked out, but it’s chilly indoors.
I had a quiet day yesterday, just the church coffee morning, and sewed most of the day.
Same again today; church then empty…
Gentle thoughts and prayers to those in need or distress, especially Urms and Marydoll. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩

Good morning Mick *grandMattie and all who follow from the Black country still dark out but the heating on.
No plans today DH is fishing hence the early start. Will have a read once he leaves then perhaps sort the freezer out and there is some ironing that could be done if I should be so inclined.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning all - still dark here but I believe (and hope) a fine day is forecast. Heading down to London to have lunch with youngest D and the little boys with SIL's parents but looking in on middle D and SIL and GS for coffee who live 10 minutes from them. Hope today is kind to you all.

Good morning from s somerset, chilly outside but we are expecting sun all day and no rain

A lot of Delia braised red cabbage was made and I left the 2 hour oven cook until teatime to add warmth to the house. I cooled the huge pot on the table overnight. It is all potted now, some already in the freezer and the rest cooling further in the fridge, to add to the freezer in a couple of hours. It is a mess to make but very worth it

No plans today, perhaps just fabric cutting as I have some more packs to get together to keep in my sewing room for winter sewing. I have decided that I want to be wearing dresses and skirts more this year, so am focusing on clothes that I can layer.

I want to have a slow-mo chilled day, it has been a busy few days

Have a good day

Good morning from Durham. Still dark, but the forecast is for a sunny, if cold day.
I’ve been awake since stupid o’clock - this house ‘groans’ and ‘creaks’ sometimes!
I plan to do something today, where I can take Little Dog with me, but I’ll stay in bed a while yet.
Hoping to read better things from our poorly posters later today.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from a chilly Torbay where it's six degrees according to my phone app!

Yesterday afternoon, a more responsive audience enabled me to enjoy the play rather more than on Friday. It seems to have been another Box Office success which is good news.

Church this morning then a pile of ironing is beckoning. Enjoy your family time, RosiesMaw! Safe travels.

Have a blessed Sunday, everyone. 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

We are off to York to see one DH's brothers who is, according to his daughter, very poorly.

Sending love and best wishes.

Another quiet day today.Usual daily chores then more reading this afternoon.Last antibiotic today🥳

Safe travels all on the move.

Thoughts with Grandmabatty and all those with worries and going through anxious times. Also hoping all unwell are seeing some improvement.

Have the best day you can everyone🌺🦩

NannyJan53 Sun 15-Oct-23 07:24:59

Good morning from a slowly lightening Black Country. The Sky looks cloudless, so hopefully a better today after much rain yesterday.

Flu jab yesterday, so 2 sore arms now as I had a shingles jab Wednesday. Covid in 2 weeks time.

Lovely family get together yesterday for SIL's 50th. The birthday boy did the cooking of pizza's in his super duper Pizza oven in the garden. One of DD's friends came over who I have not seen for over 20 years. DD had bought SIL a flying lesson in a Helicopter! Rather him than me, but he loved it.

No real plans today, gym, ironing and carry on reading my book.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday.

RosesandLilac Sun 15-Oct-23 07:25:54

Good morning, I have no idea what it’s like out! I’ve been awake since 2 so not a happy bunny but at least nothing planned for today except dog walking. We had a lovely walk yesterday, must do it more often.
DH is adamant he’s taking his kayak on holiday on Friday, there’s very little room in the car for anything else so I will probably just stay here with the dog 😡
Ho hum…..

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 15-Oct-23 07:26:52

Morning all from West Oxfordshire,
More clearing out of the room which is being decorated tomorrow. We have booked a takeaway for Sunday lunch. I am still not completely over covid and was up every hour last night to go to the loo. Lots of strange dreams too. Have a good day.

Good morning from chilly but bright Colchester. 3° rising to 13 today. The heating, set at 19, has clicked on and there's condensation on the windows.
DH is helping with the autumn clear up at a fishing lake. I will make the most of the empty catching up with things around the house and on TV. I'll cook a roast pork dinner for his return this evening.
Love to all 🦩 x

luluaugust Sun 15-Oct-23 07:36:27

Good morning from W Kent. Looks like we need another visit from the gas man, no hot water, best to get it sorted out now if we can. Hoping to chat to DB later and cook a Sunday lunch.
Best wishes to all

Good morning everyone from Severnside. It’s getting chillier in the mornings and evenings. I’m needing my blanket over knees. I’ll feel too stuffy if I put the heating on.
Last night I was sitting in my swivel chair and moved myself to the edge and before I knew it it tipped up and I slid onto the floor 🤣 Some screws have come loose so that’s another job to the few I wanted to get done today.
I went and got some fish and chips for my evening meal yesterday as I’ve been fancying some for a few weeks. They were nice enough but I think I left my fancying too long and they didn’t live up to my expectations.
I’ll go and read my gas meter and submit that now and then come back to read all the news.

Have a good day all and enjoy your roasts 💐🌞

Whitewavemark2 Sun 15-Oct-23 07:45:54

Good morning from a sunny chilly South Downs.

My sister popped in yesterday to see me. I thought she looked very tired. She is hoping for her surgery to go ahead Wednesday week. The day before is a scan by the PET thing which hopefully identifies all the rogue cancer cells. It will be good when it is all over.

I’m going to have my first shower today and rather bravely (I think) peel off the dressings - 4 of them . I must then tackle the post-operative constipation - I have some senna somewhere and lactulose. A bomb might also be effective😄.

Heating on for the first time but I think it is going to get warmer again.

Charlie Binghams for later with melon and grapes.

Peace and harmony to all and the poor world.

Grandmabatty Sun 15-Oct-23 07:50:46

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° with clear skies. It is cold!! The heating is on and the dehumidifier too. I find it makes a difference. Karma that's the recipe I use for red cabbage. It's never let me down yet.
Yesterday I met a friend for breakfast. She suffers from anxiety and rarely drives now so it was a big thing for her. She brought me a lovely belated birthday present too. I had been to Aldi for food so that's done.
Today I'm finally making the Christmas cake. I have a chicken roasting at the moment and then the cake will be made and popped in the oven afterwards. I will have to go to Aldi for fresh lemons. When I checked last night, the lemons I bought last week were all mouldy and I need the zest. I shall do a small ironing and the family are coming round for a visit. Then I'll visit mum tonight. Have a good day all

Good morning from a frosty (-2) Oxfordshire, our first frost,

MrOops will have to bring the geraniums in to overwinter in the conservatory, I’ve tried the greenhouse and the potting shed but they die, so the only safe place is indoors.

We went to MissOops for coffee, but I couldn’t stop coughing so we came home, it made me seem more unwell than I was, but it was probably the change of temperature more than anything as she hasn’t put her heating on yet. By last evening I was much better, but it took a long time for it to sort itself out.
So another day of not doing anything MrOops prepped the veg last night and I have nut roast in the freezer for us both, veg and then more veg! Crumble is also in the freezer.
Have a good day everyone, love and hugs to all those who aren’t feeling so chipper today.

Good morning from a cold, still & dry Sefton. The sky is a very pretty pinky blue colour. Time to dig out my big woolly jumpers🧶.
Had a lovely morning yesterday celebrating our DGD2's 4th birthday with bacon butties & present opening..... there was definitely a mermaid theme!🧜‍♀️ Unicorns now very "last year".
A slow day today, some fence painting to finish - maybe, possibly a walk around a local nature reserve & then dinner with DS1 & family.
Thoughts to all struggling with life.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 15-Oct-23 08:09:11

Morning all, blue sky and chilly here in S E Essex.

A lazy day is planned, book and sofa till mid afternoon then I shall start cooking roast chicken for dinner, DD and her boys will be joining us, and as I spoil my GC it’s pigs in blankets as well.

Oops I hope the steroids kick in soon 🌸

Marydoll thinking of you 🤞

Urmstongran hope today is another tiny steps forward one 😘

Have a peaceful Sunday folks 🦩🙋‍♀️

Liberty Sun 15-Oct-23 08:11:54

Good morning from another very chilly but sunny day.

We are off to DS’s for lunch as the GC are very keen to see me before I go to India on Tuesday. I’m about to make a cake to take which I’ll fill with cream and raspberries as a treat. I must try and fit in some ironing before we go although, after our dog walk,it might be a bit too late as it is an hour to get to DS’s.

Oh well,it can wait until I get back at the end of the month or DH can do it whilst I am away! The ironing is one of the household tasks that has fallen to me but I often recall how one of the things that impressed me about DH when we first met nearly 50 years ago was that he ironed a dress for me made by my mother for my birthday. I think it was a once off.

Gingster Sun 15-Oct-23 08:12:32

Good morning all and it’s chilly but bright here in Essex.

Yesterday I went by bus to the hospital (much easier than driving, parking etc and doesn’t cost a penny) and visited DD.
Not Glandular Fever, thank goodness! Shes had a scan.

Today we have several family members coming. They were all supposed to be coming for a buffet lunch but arrangements change and other things ‘crop up’. 😤. Never mind , I just go with the flow. It’s not worth getting annoyed. Little gd will be dropped off by her other nanna, so she can see her cousins.

Gd4 (11yrs old) is being taken to Bluewater to see her favourite author and have her book signed. She is beyond excited.

Nannyjan I flew a helicopter on my 50th birthday. It was scary, exhilarating and fun.

Wise to avoid a Chinese meal Mick. Try to stick to a bland diet. I’m sure it will help! 🤞.

I hope you all have a ‘good’ day. 🌻

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 15-Oct-23 08:13:57

Grannygravy I’m off the steroids now, 2 weeks on them and now 1 week without, but an increased dose of inhalers to 8 a day, if no better I’ve to go back to the Drs. next week.
It’s a very slow process compared to the last time when the steroids did the trick and I was back to normal pretty quickly.

brook2704 Sun 15-Oct-23 08:16:20

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and cold, yesterday we saw the first snow on the hills in the distance.
Hoping your DD feels better soon Gingster and is back home before too long
I’ve our usual Sunday morning face time call with DS first thing and then I’m hoping to go for a short walk, followed by a bit of gardening later.
Hoping everyone out and about and meeting friends and family have a lovely time
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

GrannySomerset Sun 15-Oct-23 08:18:33

Awake very early - I don’t sleep well in an unfamiliar bed - but have enjoyed watching the day wake up and now in London we have a perfect autumn morning. Iolanthe was terrific and much enjoyed, as was lunch out. When we came out of the theatre at nearly 6.00 pm London was absolutely heaving with the Palestinian protest and getting anywhere was a huge struggle because so many roads were closed. Luckily we had a proper London cabbie who knew all the side streets but it was certainly far from straightforward.

Today promises church, lunch out and rugby on television; we were so disappointed for Ireland last night but they weren’t robbed despite my GS’s partisan complaints. Hope everyone has as good a day.
