Good morning from a breezy but dry Torbay.
A few church members have Covid at the moment. Yesterday, I read the lesson, which I regularly do. However I was slightly taken aback as, when I went up to receive communion, our priest asked me to administer the chalice. He thought, mistakenly, that I had done it before at some point in my life. Afterwards, I was told that one should be licensed by the Bishop for the task.
At home, I tackled the more mundane task of the ironing, whilst watching a lovely film about the life of Beatrix Potter followed by a rather different one about Enid Blyton. Both on C5, if you’re interested.
I am impressed with those of you busily preparing for Christmas! Baking isn’t one of my fortes so DH and I are happy to rely on “boughten” goodies, as my late dear Mum called them. She died 14 years ago last night.
What a thoughtful grandson, Grandmabatty! A family trait! Pesky squirrels, grandMattie! My eyelids begin to drop around 10.00pm, Ali08!
Hope today is the start of a good week week for you all. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
