Good morning from Bristol. It is dry, I think, but very chilly. The weather is due to warm up in a few day. This yo-yoing of temperature discombobulates me, especially at night.
The solicitor said that probate should be very simple as DH had only the NS&I stuff, but would take between 8 and 20 weeks to come back. 20 weeks! Why can’t the civil serpents work full time and deliver; we pay them enough?
The WI meeting went ok - we were split into small, self-selected groups to do some “Christmas craft”, so people talked at me a bit more than usual…. Not very interesting crafty things.
Taichi this morning. I might go to Waitrose and the pharmacy this afternoon, leaving me with a free morning tomorrow.

Good morning from a dry and cloudy s somerset

I had a trip for a dental checkup yesterday and popped into marks, bought a couple of sugary yummy treats and a magazine for myself. I am so weak willed sometimes but the eton mess was yummy but so expensive. It was just a one-off

I was tired when I got back but I had changed all my bedding, more suitable for cold plus weightier with a nice welsh blanket on top with a throw at the foot. Whatever, I slept all through for a change. Changing bedding also means bottoming because my newest vac sees fluff when I don`t and there is lots to be seen after a change, even though I bottomed that room last week.

Heating came on yesterday, takes ages to warm the underfloor downstairs and smart meter showed 4x the normal daily energy cost when I went to bed. Temperature has settled down and I did a few temperature-reducing tweaks. Daily cost will reduce, through it only ticking over now, maintaining temperature

It has been so busy for over a week. A brisk walk later and then relax all day, with a definite afternoon nap in my recliner

Good morning from North Wales where it seems slightly warmer than at home.

We are here overnight looking after the children so school runs this morning.This afternoon is the school harvest festival where DGD is reading a poem.Welsh class later this afternoon.DD and SIL should be home about 6ish so the plan is they will pick up fish and chips for us all.

Thoughts with all unwell and those with worries.

Hope yesterday went well with the boys Grandmabatty.

Good morning from a windy Torbay but it didn’t disturb my sleep, I’m glad to say.

Yesterday, I completed my Lidl shopping and was pleased when another till opening was announced. Having emptied half my trolley, I was unimpressed to be told , “This till isn’t opening after all as someone has gone home ill!”.

To be fair, another member of staff helped reload my trolley but by then a long queue had formed at the remaining one! I know, a first world problem and at least we no longer have the worry of shortages that clouded shopping trips a while ago!

A busy day ahead with Props this morning and then a theatre Committee meeting tonight. This will be my last one as I’m resigning wef the AGM on the 30th. I won’t be missed by certain others on it and I’ve served for five years.

I’m sure your DGD will make you proud, Susan56! Will the poem be in Welsh, I wonder?

Good morning everyone from a still dark and dry Northampton, 7°C outside and forecast to be sunny all day, so will hang the towels outside to dry off. They are having a short tumble dry to soften them up first.

Hairdressers this morning for a cut and colour, and then health walk after lunch if I am back in time. Must remember to take a pile of magazines to the hairdresser, better than throwing them out.

I too vacuumed the bedrooms yesterday when I got back from yoga; the Shark is now recharging so I can do the stairs. Spent yesterday afternoon in the garden pulling overgrown ivy off the fence behind the pergola; almost wish I hadn't bothered, as parts of the fence were rotten and coming away! Almost filled two bins.

Yesterday the boys and I had a good day. No tantrums. We were at the park in the morning and we're surrounded at one point by full grown cygnets all clamouring for food. The boys were very wary as the birds were much bigger than them. But lots of running around (boys, not birds) and a two hour nap later for dgs2 meant for a happy day.
Today we are having a picnic at Bo'ness. First we'll go to Marks and Spencer for the food and dgs1 can choose. We'll take a ball and find somewhere flat, I hope. Dgs1 is keen to see if there are boats. Later on I'll visit mum. Have a good day all

Good morning from a dark South Downs. 10c so not bad. The dog has just woken for an urgent “need to go out” so DH who is no good early mornings has had to get dressed and go out, armed with torch. I think he found it a bit of a shock.

mick I’m joining you in the diarrhoea club. The doctor said it could take weeks/months for my system to get used to the extra bile flowing through. Yesterday I ate a fat heavy meal (macaroni cheese) so I think it could be that. Baked fish today so I will see how things progress. But I feel fine and scars are healing well. I will stop the hibbiscrub now I think as they have totally close over and no bacteria can be a nuisance.

Nothing planned for today really, I will finish pickling some shallots, and perhaps make the Christmas puddings. A big family meal is in the planning stage - well it will be when son returns from South America - so the puddings will need to feed I reckon 10 as a few don’t like it.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Another early start with the decorator arriving at 8 am. She made a good start yesterday. I think it will take four days.

Morning. Don’t know what the weather is like as the curtains are still closed.
Dgd for breakfast and walk to school this morning then I’m off to a nearby town for a quick manicure and pedicure to ready my feet for walking in Dundee next week.
Yesterday went a different town with my sister in law. I got a jumper and cardigan in a shop called (I think) you know who. Very reasonably priced and good quality. Think I’ll need them as it looks as if it’s going to be cold and damp next week where we’re going.

Good morning all. Haven’t looked outside yet but it feel quite chilly.
After nearly 2 weeks of easy, quiet day I’ll be busy today.
First on the agenda is the removal of the clips from my hip op’ and then a physio session. DH has said we’ll have lunch out to celebrate my progress so far.
This evening I have a ticket for a special floral demonstration . It is only just down the road so DH will take me and collect me. It will be nice to see a few more people and these demos are always beautiful.

GP pleased with Mr C yesterday, no need to go back. An unplanned trip to the blue and yellow warehouse was our exercise for the day. It’s a long walk round!

Even less sleep last night. Oh dear. Grocery delivery, hair cut for me, a bed to change and dust to remove today. Best find some energy, now where did I put it?

Morning all, I have a man coming first thing to valet my car, a shock for the bank balance but he is here for four hours and does an excellent job.

I will change bed and put the mid weight duvet on, not cold enough for the big winter one yet.

Good morning from a frosty NE. The heating has been on for hours.
DS is going to work for a half day and then coming to take me shopping.
This evening we are going to GD'S school for a music concert, GD is playing the piano.
Watching the news last night and was concerned to see that there had been shootings in Brussels City centre, they have raised security risk to the highest level. I do worry about DD living on her own there most of the time.

I intend to do a little Christmas planning this morning. I feel the need to make lists!!

This afternoon, a friend and I are driving the 40 miles to see our friend in hospital. Will be glad when she is home just down the road.

Our zoom course last night should have had 9 participants but only 3 logged on. It gave them more opportunity to talk but made it very intense and tiring.

Good morning everyone from north Kent. Not as cold as yesterday and supposed to be dry all day.

My first day of jury service meant a lot of hanging around as the trial was delayed, but eventually the jury was sworn in at 3pm. After a talk about our responsibilities from the judge we were free to leave by 4pm. The trial is due to last until well into next week. It was interesting - despite the delays and hanging about - to see how the judicial courts operate.

Today the kindle is recharged and reloaded - I finished one book and started another yesterday - and I shall be setting off shortly to do my civic duty!

I've been very unwell since Friday but hopefully on the mend now. I'm off to DD1 in Leamington tomorrow for a week to look after the girls for a couple of days whilst their parents go away.
Today DH has to go to the bank and then we are having lunch out.

Morning all. There's a lovely rosy glow as the sun is beginning to peep over the horizon, but it's a tad chilly at 2° on the Angus coast. This is the last non-rainy day for the foreseeable future, so must search for washing to do before I go out to tai chi.
Yesterday was a glorious day - I wish I could bottle this weather for use in the winter!

Good morning from Durham. It’s only 1degree, grey, but at least not windy. I’ve slept awkwardly and my shoulder is aching.
Out for coffee with a friend this morning. She usually likes to sit outside, so I’ll have to wrap up well. Chiropodist this afternoon and a walk with Little Dog later. DD2 etc back yesterday and I’d like her thoughts on some new furniture for my conservatory.
I’m hoping our poorlies are a little better today and those post op take things easy.

WWM, sorry to hear you are having a blip.

I received such kindness from the very patient lady GP yesterday. She was quite shocked at how much my current ill health had impacted on my quality of life.
She thinks she may have an idea what is wrong, but has is seeking advice from an ENT consultant and my rheumatology consultant. It looks as if my new biologic treatment has caused BPPV, it is a rare side effect. They are so toxic and my conditions are impacting on each other.
She and I were pleased to learn that my heart isn't the cause.
It won't be an easy fix and of course hospital appointment waiting lists are very long.
I feel so relieved that I have a diagnosis now. I had my affairs in order and my funeral service planned! 😉

DH and I spent the afternoon syncing our new tablets with our old ones. Thank goodness I have IT expertise. It should have been simple, but wasn't. I don't know how others manage.
There are still problems getting my email accounts sorted. I will need to phone the Diocesan tech support team to get my Diocesan email account sorted. I am locked out because I changed my Microsoft password. 😡

Thank you to Wigwamgran for taking the time to offer advice yesterday. We know we do owe something, but nothing like the extortionate amount they are claiming, so we will use that payment to offset what we owe.
DH has contacted Scottish Gas to say that we have forwarded all our paperwork to the Ombudsman. I'm not holding my breath.
