Last year I was prescribed HRT by a physician’s associate. A month later I had a haemorrhage. Not really her fault though. What upset me was they wouldn’t take back the other 2 months of the gel and tablets which were of course unopened. At 67, I wasn’t really experiencing menopausal symptoms but have osteopenia, arthritis and really odd all over muscle pain and thought it might help.

Good morning all from a very wet Glasgow. Howling winds and torrential rain last night was unsettling as I tossed and turned to catch up on some sleep.

Such a mix up with your meds is unacceptable Susan. A word with your pharmacist telling him/her of this wouldn’t go amiss to check if your script is compatible with what you are being prescribed.

I am so sad to read your post this morning Dustyangel I get it, my heart goes out to both of you. 💗

Just hoping the weather is a bit more settled today as I can no longer put off a supermarket visit.

Stay safe all who are in the path of this unwelcome storm.

Good morning from my part of Scotland where we are used to wild weather, however it is so bad I will be staying home. Shopped yesterday to ensure lots of goodies while the storm passes.
So pleased to see Urm’s good news last week.
Special wishes to so many of you with health and career issues and yet continue with such positive spirit.

Good morning from wet and miserable Harrogate (probably not as bad as other places) except our heating has gone phut ! Back home now slept in! But had shower, breakfasted and received Sainsburies shopping. Dsis’s house had very bad wifi (worse than ours). Was shocked at the state of York station, 3 loos out of order, the lift ooo, so Dh had to carry the case up numerous and stairs and the train to Harrogate was cancelled! So had extra time to wait for the next one. Finally got home, shortly after our newly recover chairs arrived.
Had a lovely time with my sister, she now has the perfect house for her. First time I’d seen it!
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning Mick and All.

Sunshine, showers and thunderstorms due in South Bucks today.

You have your hands full Kitty.

Sending love to Mary 💐

What a difficult time you two are having dustyangel💐

Saw the Michael Caine film yesterday ‘The Great Escaper’. I was mopping my eyes a lot ! It was a masterpiece in acting from both Michael C and Glenda Jackson.

Good morning Mick and all from bloody Lancashire, currently 13C.

It was noisy, wild and windy yesterday, The rain finally arrived in the evening. We appear to have lost the lid off the parcel bin but everything else seems OK.

I don’t seem to have suffered any serious damage when I fell over, other than my thumb. It’s tightly bandaged and the pain has gone. I do worry about broken bones as I get older but have been lucky so far. I will get on with the laundry today, the dehumidifier is a real boon. I have a prescription to collect later. I’m monitoring my blood pressure lying, sitting and standing as I may be suffering from postural hypotension. The results have been a little alarming but not surprising, it has happened before some years ago and I had to spend time in hospital while it was investigated and stabilised.

Sorry to read your news Dustyangel, now your DH has a confirmed diagnosis he can embark on the treatment pathway. Wishing you both well.

My thoughts are with those dealing with troubles, may today bring some comfort.

Have a good day all 🌹

That’s bang out of order*Susan56*. Let’s hope that the surgery addresses it, and that it doesn’t happen again. You have my sympathy. 💐

hollysteers Thu 19-Oct-23 09:47:29

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Off later to General Surgical unit at city hospital nearly 40 miles round trip to see consultant re hernia, an appointment I have waited over a year for…

Interesting lunchtime concert yesterday, wind trio and the flautist spoke well between pieces, giving lots of information.
I then enjoyed a bite to eat in a cafe new to me, pretty vintage style. My usual venue is closing down so I’m looking for a similar relaxed cafe. Wednesday is one of my favourite days, recital, lunch and a bit of shopping.
I intended to go to a folk club and sing in the evening, but ensconced with a fleece throw and cat purring on my lap, went off the idea.

Thoughts as always to all with troubles. dustyangel💐
