I have just been to Tesco with a list but I still seem to have added a lot of random veg and other things I really didn't need. I think I'm still shopping for a big family!

Just as Sago said. But the planning was with children’s input and pinned up so there was no complaints as they’d had their views and choices and could look at what was coming!
Don’t you have to be ahead of the game with dear children.

Still getting used to eating alone here. Not a clue what I am eating tomorrow .

I plan about an hour beforehand with whatever I have in the fridge. I do make sure I have plenty of veg and raw materials every week and plenty of onions and garlic. I usually have some meat and fish in the freezer, too. If all else fails I am really, really good at omelettes!

I plan my meals a week ahead and then prepare my shopping list.

The plan is not rigid and most weeks some meals get moved around or changed. I then take into account anything left in the fridge or veg rack that needs using up when planning the enxt weeks menus.

I am always scanning recipes when I come across them and over the years I have built up an archive of a 100 or so recipes that we have eaten and enjoyed and about 20 years ago i listed these on a spread sheet, which I refer to when planning menus.

I love food and love trying new recipes and eating across a wide range of foods. It is only by having a list of recipes and planning my menus that I can ensure I eat the wide variety of foods I enjoy eating.

You ate describing my routine Monica 😀👍
