Just spent 5 minutes looking for my glasses... turns out they were on my head 🤣😳 Husband was thinking of ringing the nearest care home to see if they had a space for me 🤣🤣🤣

Somewhere in this house are several pairs of distant, sunglasses and reading glasses, I sometimes come across a pair when I’m frantically searching for my phone or keys which also regularly go astray. I keep telling myself to put them all in the same place but somehow it just never happens. I find loads of glasses cases, all empty!!

Two days ago, I placed an A3 pad of white paper on a little kitchen worktop, planning to let the 15 month old dgc scribble on it yesterday. Could I find it when it was needed? No! All the crayons were still there, plus the assortment of 'homeless' items that generally occupy that space, but annoyingly, not the paper.

OH was out at the time, but in the evening I asked him if he knew where it has gone.
"Yes", he said. He had rolled it up but left it standing (upright) on that same worktop.

Because I had been looking for something white and flat, I had totally failed to spot it now that it was white, tubular and vertical, even though it was still in exactly the same place. 😳

I worked on the census in 2021 when everything went online so we had to work on a smartphone. I found it quite challenging as the software was not the best - thought it was because I'm old and technologically inept but then some of the youngsters were having problems. However the phones were supplied with a holder on a lanyard so it was round my neck all the time. At least I couldn't lose it to add to my difficulties. I friend of mine wears hers like this all the time so I presume she got fed up of losing it.

I have a pair of trousers with shallow pockets and my phone regularly falls out so I have to be extra careful when wearing them.

OH lost his specs - and was blaming everyone. Eventually he had to get another pair. Months later, when standing on a chair to access the gas meter and take a reading, he found his specs in the meter cupboard - he had taken them off as he could see the numbers more clearly without. We all requested an apology.
