Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dark but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Todays plans await some jeans in the post i ordered online .
I am hoping my system gets a little better as I am trying to eat more fibre related food and also try and put some weight back on .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Michael , the rain thundering down wakened me ! So much for an extra hour of sleep
I hope the Fibre diet helps you 🤞
I’ve been up for an hour , the rain has eased , I’m sipping Red Bush tea , think I’ll pop back to bed
Have the best day you can everyone

Good morning from a wet Cornwall where I see that yesterday the council removed the summer bunting from outside my flat and have strung Christmas lights from tree to tree, awaiting the November switch-on. Lovely. A quiet day of sewing before church at 4o'clock.

cornergran Sun 29-Oct-23 06:30:21

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is forecast a mostly dry day, lots of puddles out there though

Not a fan of the return of early darkness I find my body does prefer this clock change to that in the Spring, although my usual Autumn lack of enthusiasm has hit. I find it a sad time of year. Will stir myself for a short walk this morning and perhaps sort some paper before returning to my book.

Thinking of everyone finding life hard going. Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Good morning from soggy South Lanarkshire.

Yesterday DH took the daft dug out for a short walk for the first time in about eight weeks, a sure sign that he is getting stronger. I’m very grateful.

No plans for today other than a light lunch at our favourite local cafe after I’ve been to Mass if DH feels up to it. It is under new management as from this week although all the staff have been retained. I’m really hoping that the lovely atmosphere which was generated by the previous owner won’t change.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

cornergran Sun 29-Oct-23 06:31:25

Good to see you mizuma.

Good morning everyone from Severnside. It’s getting light and not raining. Up early as I couldn’t get back to sleep. Had a nice dream because DH was in it 😍

Today I might do some ironing as it keeps looking at me every time I go into my craft room. I hope to paint an item in my shed too and my friends are coming this after to pick up the stuff I have been storing for them.

Enjoy your roast all and have a good day 🌻

Good morning, a thunderous windy day is expected later

Sewing is now put to bed with a clean room and covered machines. Time to start a knitting project for winter.

I did a croissant tasting test yesterday and honestly it was beautiful and much more satisfying than shop bought. Panasonic bm recipe, the older machine book. I recommend it, if you don`t mind a bit of faffing.

Today? probably I will bring my garage-stored rebounder back into my hall. I want to keep on with the exercise

Have a good day

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I thought I'd overslept but then remembered the clock change.
Off to watch DGS3 play football this morning. I'll wear my warmly lined mac to cover all eventualities as rain is in today's forecast.
Roast pork this evening.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from a damp and breezy Torbay.

Today is our eighth welding (sic) anniversary and these flowers arrived from DH yesterday via our favourite local florist. DH is due on Tuesday, trains permitting.

Yesterday, I had a delicious fish lunch in Brixham with a friend before becoming drenched as we walked to the theatre in torrential rain! Spamalot was great fun, made more enjoyable by the participation of a few known Toads actors. The buses were all on time and saved us the hassle (and expense) of parking.

Church this morning then a Cranford rehearsal later.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone! 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Good morning all from a chilly North Leicestershire.

Isn't it confusing when some clocks change automatically and others don't?

We have Persie and Wolfie today for a while and then roast beef etc for dinner.

Sending love and best wishes to everyone.

Grandmabatty Sun 29-Oct-23 07:08:33

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and wet. The sky is beginning to lighten. Karma homemade croissants sound wonderful. Baubles that's good news to hear about your dh. Mizuna I expect your Christmas lights will be a welcome addition, once they are lit.
Yesterday I got food in and made a pot of slow cooker lentil soup. The recipe I use has never failed to make delicious soup. Bedding was changed and washed and housework done. I had a couple of deliveries due so stayed close to home. My aunt messaged me later but didn't visit. She has unsettling news to deal with and I expect I'll see her at some point.
Today I have a small ironing to do. Other than that, no fixed plans. Some knitting, some painting, some sewing perhaps. Tonight I'll visit mum. Have a good day all

Grandmabatty Sun 29-Oct-23 07:09:41

Ash happy anniversary to you both. 🎉

I’m late, I’m late…
Good morning from an overcast Bristol.
I took a pill last night as I hadn’t slept well the previous night and this change of clocks always affects me. I would have been up and wide awake at 0300 on the old time. Not fun!
I saw your post on Soop’s last night, Urms. I can’t tell you how glad I was for you and everyone you love.
I had a quiet day yesterday; washed and dried DD’s bedding, went to the church coffee and chat and assembled the quilt. A lot of hand sewing now, putting the “straps” to hide the seams. The very dark fabric is actually aubergine.
Today will be much the same, church then more hand sewing. It’s quite nice as I watch ridiculous films at the same time.
Carpe diem, dear friend. 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Happy anniversary to you both, Ash.

Good morning from Shropshire.A mixed day forecast.

We had our Covid boosters yesterday morning then in the afternoon off to the garage to get new tyres fitted. When we got home we both fell asleep for a couple of hours but feeling ok apart from a slightly sore arm.

Today we hope for a quiet day at home getting a few jobs done before a busy week ahead.

Have the best day you can everyone🌺🦩

Susan56 Sun 29-Oct-23 07:16:51

Happy anniversary to you both Ash🍾🥂beautiful flowers and a beautiful quilt grandMattie.

Good morning from the South Downs. Well, I hope that todays rain isn’t so torrential as yesterdays or I fear we will all be washed away even though we are (naturally)on a hill. After the roof leak and ceiling down last autumn, I feel a tad nervous and have checked the loft a couple of times, but all is well at the moment.

I put my winter duvet on the bed yesterday, as my feet were getting cold with the summer duvet.

Hoping to visit my sister today - just a quick coffee and take her the audio tapes I have bought for her - she was explaining that she couldn’t stand the bandage any more and has replaced it with a silk scarf. Sounds a bit alarming to me! Says she feels like Marley’s ghost! Time I inspected things I think.

Fish of some sort today plus the rest of the apple strudel I made yesterday with apple and mincemeat I made a month ago. I must say it was pretty delicious☺️

Peace an& harmony to all

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is currently 11"C.

Glad to heard you are taking advice, Mick and Baubles you must be heartened by the fact your DH managed a short walk. Happy anniversary Ash and lovely to see you posting, Mizuna.

Have a good day folks.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 29-Oct-23 07:33:17

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
What a beautiful quilt GM!
I will be mainly preparing roast chicken and all the trimmings today. It is our daughter’s favourite. I made the pudding a while ago - iced chocolate soufflé.
While OH watched the rugby last night, daughter and I watched a rather strange film - Spencer. This was about Princess Diana spending Christmas at Sandringham. Very odd.
Have a good day.

ginny Sun 29-Oct-23 07:35:15

Good morning. A sunny start here in N. Bucks.
Nothing planned today apart from a walk but not sure where yet. Maybe I’ll get on with the Nutcracker Prince in my craft room.
Best wishes to all for a day with a smile along the way.

Greyduster Sun 29-Oct-23 07:35:28

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a brightening South Yorkshire where it has rained all night. I forgot to put the clocks back so thought I’d slept till eight this morning. A lovely family meal last night then we played bananagrams. There was much “you can’t have that - it’s not a word” in GS’s direction. What do they teach them these days?😄. Today I will give the kitchen a good clean, then do nothing other than knit, read and ruminate. Fish pie for tea.
Happy Anniversary to you and Olddudders, Ash. Lovely flowers!
Have a good day, folks.

brook2704 Sun 29-Oct-23 07:38:32

Good morning everyone from a grey, wet and windy Inverness, I’m not looking forward to the long dark evenings from now on.
A very Happy Anniversary to you both Ash, what beautiful flowers you lucky lady!
Thank you all for your kind wishes, I arrived back home safely last night after a good journey from Cambridge. There was a bit of disruption on the train to Gatwick with a replacement bus for part of the way but all was fine. It’s very quiet here today and I’ve no plans yet so I’m going to have a restful day. If it brightens up I might venture out into the garden for a bit.
Good to hear your DH is getting a bit better baubles and enjoyed a short walk.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Gingster Sun 29-Oct-23 07:41:54

Good morning all and it’s bright and dry at the moment.

We have DD and DGD coming for lunch, although DD isn’t eating much still. It will be a change of scene for her as she hasn’t been out since she came here last Sunday. 😥. We can usually find something to laugh about which will brighten her up 🙏.

We’ll have gammon , mashed potatoes and various veg. Little gd will have her usual ….. sausages. ! Oh well!

Happy anniversary Ash 💐.

Looking forward to seeing GrannyGravy and Sar on Wednesday.

Enjoy your Sundays everyone 🌻

Good morning, pink fluffy clouds in a pale blue sky here in Ceredigion, rather chilly too i imagine.
What a beautiful quilt grandMattie 😍
I’m hoping we will visit a woollen mill today, then have a long walk on the beach- I can’t get enough off wandering along beaches!
There a beef casserole in the slow cooker, we’ll have it with mash, cabbage and peas in a large Yorkshire pudding I think 😋
