Good morning from Durham. Torrential rain - ‘nuff said!
I had outdoor plans which I’ll have to postpone.
Good to see some positive posts so far today.
Best wishes to all. X

Todays plans await some jeans in the post i ordered online .

Take Care,
Mick
Good morning Mick and All.
A cloudy day in South Bucks.
Many congratulations on your WA Ashcombe. I remember you posting a lovely photo of you in a beautiful purple wedding dress. Your DH sent you a lovely flower display. Here’s mine from our WA last Monday. I do love flowers. I seem to remember kittylester regularly buys fresh flowers for the house.
I’ve lost the icon on my IPad to down load the photo, how odd.
Good morning from a bright but wet W Kent. managed to see a physiotherapist yesterday, amazing machine used and exercises issued I am hoping they will help get me moving again. GD2 is 17 today, so now both GDs are the age I was when I met DH! I look at them and am amazed at them and myself. Talk about different lives.
Happy Anniversary Ash.
Glad there is good news with some of the health problems
All the best for today.
Good morning all from the Black country where the sun is shining a lovely start to the day.
Happy Anniversary to you both Ash 🥂
Once again your quilt looks amazing GM such a talent you have.
Good to see you Mizuna
If it stays dry will take a walk through the park and drop a bag of to the charity shop.
Roast pork for dinner.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️
My internal clock is clearly still on summer time but I expect I will adapt in a day or two. High cloud and watery sunshine at present though showers are promised later. No plans other than church this morning so I may tackle knitting sheep for our contribution to the Christmas tree display in the church as part if the village fair. Need to get on with it, I realise as December is nearer than I had realised.
Good morning from a bright Essex coast. DH tells me it rained very heavily during the night and I think more is forecast for today.
He is off to rugby with his grandchildren shortly, well wrapped up and with an umbrella.
We had to stay in all day yesterday as we had a new entry phone system installed in our small block. All went well until the very last flat where there was a problem. The electrician is coming back this morning to try and fix it.
A very Happy Anniversary to Ash and Olddudders.
Have a super Sunday everyone, much love xxx
Good Morning Mick and everyone from damp grey Carlisle where it is hopefully going to brighten up soon.
I got out in the garden yesterday afternoon for a little tidying up...bark mulch spreading, deadheading and so on. The deadheading developed into a big job....waging war on more over-vigorous shrub roses which had exceeded their brief. I must have prepared my clay soil very well because the garden's become really lush this season. I've probably over-exerted myself as usual and will take it easy today, I want to be fit for my covid jab next week.
I do have to go out at lunchtime, to return the ECG equipment to the hospital. I must make sure to get there well before visiting hours or I won't get parked. The rest of the day?....reading I think as books and magazines are piling up.
Beautiful flowers Ashcombe, what lovely colours!
Beautiful quilt grandMattie, love those colours too.
Have an enjoyable day, everyone.
Good morning from North Yorkshire. More rain overnight.
Happy anniversary Ash. Love your flowers.
Off to church this morning, then home for brunch, ironing and gardening if it dries up enough.
Have a good day everyone.
Morning all, haven’t read the thread.
I am currently sharing my bed with two GS’s. It’s going to be a long day
Have a good day folks 🦩🙋♀️
Good morning from a dry & brightening Sefton tho it does look a bit damp underfoot.
A lovely day out yesterday with DS2 & our 2 small DGDs. Lots of animals, a short train ride, pumpkins to pick, carvery lunch - still a novelty for them to choose what they want - then home to wind down with some cartoons until mum & dad get back from their spa day.
A quiet day for us but first a small food shop, the fridge is empty - again. It looks like it could possibly be a dry day so I may put some washing on. Bedding should dry quickly.
Happy Anniversary Ash. Another beautiful quilt grandM.
Morning from a damp S Hampshire, heavy rain last night, even thunder before bed.
Happy Anniversary Ashcombe to you both, gorgeous flowers.
That quilt is stunning gMattie my favourite so far.
Grandchildren are here, breakfast in a minute, I hope their Mum is having a decent lie in.
I’ll get a quick walk in later, make a lasagna and watch football.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, forecast to stay like this all day. Just changed the clocks that need to be done by hand. The rest have updated themselves.
Yesterday had a trip into town on the bus, changed my leggings, got gift wrap etc for DGD's birthday present, and had coffee and a bite to eat. Watched the rugby cup final in the evening.
As I have no plans to go anywhere today, I shall set to and make the mince pies for C*******s. I need to make a double batch, as I have promised to take some to book club next month. It will keep me busy for a couple of hours.
This afternoon I shall be watching my rugby team on tv; they have an away match in Newcastle and it is being televised.
Lovely flowers Ashcombe, happy anniversary!
Good morning from N Bucks where it is gloriously sunny again after a wet night.
I was a very happy granny yesterday to get a very sweet little WhatsApp vid from the littlest GSs ( 4and 2) waving their pumpkin lollies from a little Halloween parcel I had sent them and shouting “Trick or treat! Thank you Granny!” It doesn’t take much to please a Gran and I don’t know how often I have replayed that since!
Today I am making Nigella’s Clementine cake which I shall cover tomorrow in black (!) ready to roll icing and decorate with spiders, little pumpkins and maybe eyeballs to take with me to Somerset on Tuesday where I am joining eldest D,SIL and the GC for a few days- starting with a Halloween tea. 🎃 🧙♀️ 👻
Wishing you all a pleasant day , with kind thoughts to all in need of extra comfort and anniversary congratulations to Ashcombe and Himself.
Your quilt is lovely Mattie. Your flowers too Ash. Wishing you and dudders a Happy Anniversary 🥂💐
Morning from a very wet bit of South Lanarkshire.
Happy Anniversary Ash, you’ll be looking forward to Tuesday.
I was wondering if you were okay Mizuna, nice to see your post and lovely to hear of your DH’s improvement baubles.
The show put on by our local youth music group was great as usual and although I have to admit Grease isn’t my favourite, I did enjoy it. It had been quickly adapted to fit into our town’s theatre because of the sudden closure of the Motherwell concert hall due to the unsuitable bricks shambles.
A quiet day today after church so I hope I can make myself get down to some outstanding paperwork rather than skipping straight to book reading!
Wishing everyone a good day.
Good morning, it’s a fine day so far after torrential rain last evening. It’s very cold though, just above freezing. I was awake at 3.30 which was a pain, but it was really 4.30 which doesn’t seem so bad……
Kids are coming for lunch, they will have roast beef, I will defrost my nutloaf, last time I defrosted a slice of fruit cake in error, I really must label these things.
Sad news yesterday that a neighbour has died, his wife made him a cup of tea whilst he was watching a film on the TV, when she brought it to him he had died, such a shock for her and her family. He was a stalwart of the Village, on various committees, always ready to lend a hand and will be sadly missed.
Love the quilt GM
Have a good day everyone, let’s hope the sun shines.
Happy Anniversary Ash have a good day
Good morning from a grey and rainy NE.
Sister and BIL visited yesterday and while they were here I had a message from DS to say he had tested positive for covid, not good as he suffers from long covid from an earlier infection. Eldest GD should have been at Sheffield for an open day but with both parents ill, and she had sore throat, had to be cancelled.
My elder sister was going to visit this afternoon but she is going to stay home and wait to see if I have caught covid from the family.
We have limited public transport since the bus drivers went on strike yesterday.
Happy anniversary Ashcombe, lovely flowers and I guess you will get to celebrate next week when your DH arrives.
Will see if I can find a decent film to watch while I do my crossword.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is pouring rain. At least there's no doubt I won't be firing pottery outdoors today but must find a dry gap during the week as there's an exhibition opening next weekend.
My family are driving back south today. I shall book a train to see them later next month or early December.
I feel very lazy today so may just settle down with a book like you Stilllearning
You both look very young and very happy in your wedding photo Ash . Lovely flowers.
Happy anniversary to NanKate too.
Such a pretty, starry quilt gMattie
Glad your DH is better grandmabatty
Have a lovely day everyone.
Good morning Mick and all from a bright northwest coast.
Sister still here and we had a quiet day yesterday and just watched a film in the evening. She meets up with her old friend tonight and I have taken a couple of gammon steaks out of the freezer to grill with pineapple.
My DD arrives tomorrow or Tuesday from the south after moving into her new flat, so I will make some preparations towards that.
Hope your health settles Mick, happy anniversary to Ash and NanKate and thoughts to all with worries of any kind.🌹
Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 10°C.
Yesterday was a duvet day. I was unwell on Friday night and had very little sleep. I’m feeling much better now, hopefully it was a one-off. I missed the Hallowe’en shenanigans of the railway museum, will stroll over and take a look today.
Happy Anniversary to you both Ashcombe, what beautiful flowers.
Gorgeous quilt Grandmattie you are so talented.
Happy Sunday to us all 🌻
Good morning all from a very wet Glasgow, it’s bucketing down.
Absolutely won’t be going anywhere today and like others, preparing myself for a lazy day.
Happy Anniversary Ash
So happy to hear of your DH’s progress baubles.
Have a pleasant, peaceful day all.
