Northern Lights over our village two nights ago - so beautiful.

We saw the Northern lights in an Arctic cruise in March. It was hard to photograph them. They were moving all the time, swirling about. Very different from the green sky seen in Aberdeenshire. I know katek has seen these pics but I thought others might like to see them. We felt very lucking. It was a breathtaking experience.
PS just snapped in my phone camera.

Too many typos! On not in and lucky not lucking! Fat fingers. Och.

How lucky to see them. Katek and Aveline!

My sons and DH went hunting for a week mid-October, and had a brilliant night sitting in the woods with a fire and by a lake, with the sky dancing green overhead. My son took some photos and he's sent one that is lovely.

I've seen them once or twice, but never that brilliant. When I saw them it was more misty white and green.

Beautiful!
Seeing the northern lights is on my bucket list, along with seeing red squirrels. A trip to Scotland must be on the cards😊

They were visible as far south as Dorset the other night.

Last time, a few weeks ago, we went out to look for them, drove miles but didn't see them.
