Susan best wishes for your endoscopy.
Good morning from a cold Durham. My phone has the symbol for snow in an hour - hope it’s wrong!
Car successfully seen to yesterday with a bill of just over £300. That might seem hefty to some, but believe me, after my last car, it’s tiny! I’ve been using a local garage, that seems not to have changed much for 37 years.
Coffee with a friend this morning at Next, and a wander around the nearby shops. I intend to light the wood burner later then rake up more leaves in the garden. I should wrap a few Christmas gifts and write those cards I intend to deliver by hand. Maybe with a small sherry!
Enjoy your’elf Ash and take it easy MaryD. That’s a great, uncluttered shower room gM the flooring is very similar to DD2’s.
Wishing a good day to our celebrators and kind thoughts to those struggling.
Best wishes to all. X
Morning all from a blue skies, sunshine but rather chill S E Essex.
Off to Aldi first thing, then some pottering type households jobs.
The 8yr old and The Imp are coming for a sleepover tonight, DD is held a friend and will join us later. Breakfast orders have already been put to DH 😺
Lovely shower room grandMattie
Happy birthday to your menfolk Gingster
🎂🥂🎉
Have a great day folks 🦩🙋♀️
God morning from North Yorkshire. Clear blue skies here today. The conservatory will be lovely and warm.
Some admin to do this morning then some final tidying in the garden. We have one more green bin collection so I want to make the most of it.
Love the bathroom gm
Popped back to register my admiration for the bathroom! 👏👏👏. It’s gorgeous 😍
( The “before” must have been grim though, I feel for you ).
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Frosty here but sunny.
I'm a lot better today now the cough has eased.
Our Christmas market opens today and I have some pottery to sell.
A df from the north of Scotland is coming to stay as she has a memorial service to attend tomorrow.
Good luck Susan with your procedure.
Happy birthday to the Gingster menfolk
Have a great day with your DGD Mizuna
Infact I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Morning from a very frosty S Hampshire -1 now.
gMattie your bathroom looks grand, I bet you keep peeking in awe, what a difference.
Yesterday was spent arranging for MrJ’s car to be fixed (alternator) and dripping kitchen tap (plumber today) a visit to our local for a catch-up was fun.
Today is not a lot, MrJ is getting the paper, Dro Who tonight, memories.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning all. 4° rising to 6°, with clear skies, on the Angus coast - the North Sea keeps us 'warm' at this time of year.
Glad your coach trip was good yesterday Mick - made a lovely change from your old routine I'm sure.
Yay grandmattie! All looking lovely now - but it was such a long fight to get here.
Happy Birthday to the gingster boys.
I wish someone would write a definitive book on aging! I'm fairly certain that sleep problems would feature strongly. At the moment I first of all can't get to sleep and then when I eventually do it's only to wake up every couple of hours. The other night was an exception and I woke up with that lovely cosy feeling of having had a really good night's sleep and lay luxuriating in it. I then opened my eyes to find it was 1.10am! I admit to a loud LOL.
Not quite sure what I'm doing today but it must involve 'thinking Christmas' and trawling round a few shops. I shall be glad when the whole shenanigans is over for another year! Bah! Humbug! 🫢
I am attaching a photo taken by DD on her early morning dog walk today. What a beautiful world!
Have the best day you can everyone x
Good morning everyone from south Manchester. Brr! Nippy outside here. 1°C rising to the heady heights of 4°C by noon. Heating clicked on earlier. Sun’s shining in the main room so heating off and it’s warmed up nicely now. We have no need to go out but might stroll over later to our favourite independent cafe/bakehouse for coffee and something!
Here’s Matt.

Morning all from Kew.
That’s a wonderful bathroom, GM.
Son’s partner and my granddaughter have gone skateboarding. I will head off for the tube in an hour. I’m meeting younger son for lunch in Fitzrovia and we’re off to the Holbein exhibition in the Queen’s Gallery. Back to Kew to get my car and then I’ll drive home. A long day but at least I didn’t have to get up until nearly 8 am.
OH has a meeting with his beekeeping friends today. I expect he’ll buy lots of honey! His bees haven’t produced any yet.
Have a good day everyone. I’m sorry to hear some of you have had difficult news or are suffering.
Good morning from a sunny but cold NE, about 2 degrees so quite chilly.
Lunch with my friend yesterday was good, the venue was a 400 year old inn which was tastefully decorated inside. The food was delicious, we both opted for the plates of the day. Red pepper soup, pork and tomato sausage on basil mash with ratatouille and dessert was treacle pudding and custard. The food was ideal for a cold November day. While we were there we booked for three weeks time and perhaps try the Christmas menu.
I had a phone call from the bank complaints department at the end of the working day, just to keep me in the loop as to what is being done to remedy the complaint. What a shame they can't be that efficient at doing their job in the first place.
Sister and BIL will visit this afternoon, we will have a drink together and exchange news.
DS will visit bringing GD2 and all her homework, she works most of the time she is here and also practices the piano. She likes my traditional upright piano, hers is an electric one.
Have a good day all and keep cosy.
A quick Good Morning from the sunny south coast as I’m dashing round getting things done so I can spend some much needed time in the garden making the most of the weather. I only have one more brown bin collection until they stop for the winter so it needs to be FULL!!
Hope everyone has a good day. Love the shower room, GrandMattie
Good morning from a cold and frosty Eden.
The first of our pre-Christmas visitors arrive for a long weekend today. The house is turning into a Premier Inn which I vowed when we came here it would never be.
All I want is to snuggle in front of the fire think about our Christmas and get it planned. Instead of moving Demestos and tablets going out of reach of tiny fingers.
I hope everyone enjoys their birthdays and outings. My family whom I could not visit enjoyed Thanksgiving yesterday and I didn't realise it was then so unfortunately never sent cards. I'll make up for it by sending the cat an advent calendar.
Grandmattie, your bathroom looks beautiful.
Crikey - Bella23. I’ve forgotten the Advent calendar for the dog!

Very frosty this morning, the back garden is still white as the sun has only just reached it. Going to be a trying weekend as my water damaged ceilings are being treated and repainted so that there is nowhere downstairs to set up camp. Have been driven to sort out two bedroom drawers and give the silver (plate) its Christmas clean a bit early. Now what can I do for the rest of the day? Fortunately I am spending the evening with a friend so we can leave the downstairs dustsheeted overnight which will help a bit. Only the workings of the grandfather clock to come back and I am done - for the next year at least I hope!
Hope all goes well for Susan, that Marydoll enjoys her small visitors, am envious of LLFL going to the Holbein exhibition and hope everyone else has a good day.
A very late good morning from a frosty day in Northampton, bright and sunny 🌞, but 0°C outside and set to remain so all day. Shall not venture out today - been thinking about a walk to the garden centre, but am reluctant to leave my central heating. And it's the first day I haven't had to go out for a week.
Boy, was it cold at the rugby last night, and a chill wind blowing around the stadium. I had several layers of thermals and had also taken a blanket for my knees. I gave in to the stall selling hot toddies! But all worth it in the end as we kept the opposing team at bay, and won by 3 points. I recorded the match so may watch it again this afternoon.
It was my second foray out in the cold yesterday too, as late afternoon I had been to watch DD at her riding lesxon, and she was in the outdoor school. Her teacher is a real perfectionist and is never satisfied with anything less than her best! Round and round the school,.going smoothly from walk to trot to canter, making tiny adjustments to legs, twins and posture, (DD's, not the horse!)
Lovely bathroom grandMattie; when we had our en suite and family bathroom done, I kept going upstairs to look at them!
Stay warm today everyone!
Good morning all from a frosty but beautiful sunny morning in Glasgow. According to the forecast, all minus for next week. 🥶
The start of our more laissez-faire weekend has begun with a long lie in bed. Bliss
Sorry to hear you have a cold and no voice Baubles. I’m sure your DH has already jokingly made mention of you not being
able to speak. Look after yourself and get well soon.
Merlot I must check when our brown garden bin uplifts stop. I still have masses of leaves and tidy up debris to get rid of.
Wishing the Gingster men a very happy birthday. 🎂🥳
Have a good day all whatever plans you may have. Kind thoughts to those with worries.
Good morning, bit late but I hope we all have a good day
It’s lovely and sunny now , earlier the frost was sparkling , cold but still and bright is good 👍
I love the new bathroom grandMattie , the floor covering is very smart

Crikey - Bella23. I’ve forgotten the Advent calendar for the dog!

Lots on Amazon GG from cheap to really expensive. As I know money that was given to GD for her own Advent calendar would have been spent on the new cat. She can get herself one.
DH is rolling around laughing as I write this, but his father always got their dog a treat. They didn't have one for rats when we had our pet.
The new bathroom looks wonderful grandMattie. It was well worth having it 'done'. x
Good day Mick and all. Glad to hear you had a good time on your coach trip, Mick.
Susan, I hope your endoscopy goes/went well.
Baubles, I hope you recover soon and get your voice back. Poignant memories of your parents 💐. My mother died 15 years ago, just before Christmas. The last time I went out with her, before she was taken into hospital, was a St Andrew’s Day meal and social with the Caledonian Society.
Grandmattie, your new bathroom looks fresh and bright. Well done for jumping through all the hoops!
Taichinan, beautiful photo (and dog)!
I have a list of jobs to do but am easily distracted by a book (or GN). As well as the Christmas cake, I asked DH for a beetroot from the allotment for a beetroot chocolate cake that was yummmy when I made it before. Grating beetroot is messy though and I don’t have a food processor (keep wondering if I should get one but have managed for years without one and have no room for more gadgets). I am also trying to make a terrarium in a jar but can’t find the stones and charcoal that I’m sure I brought back from DD’s.
Hope you have a better night, Marydoll and lovely cuddles with Babydoll today.
