Hope the Corners start to feel better soon - just what they didn’t need. Painter here to continue work on water damaged ceilings plus a couple of small touch up jobs. The stuff which goes over the leak marks before the paint smells disgusting so windows are open and I am wearing an anorak. All in a good cause and I may escape to church shortly if that fits with my paint fairy’s timescale. Otherwise today involves sheep knitting and the paper.

Morning from Connel, this flipping iPad is playing up and my newsy posts yesterday and this morning’s have just vanished so in this attempt I’ll just wish all those who are struggling with this nasty virus as well as Covid, a quick return to health. Thank you for condolences last week on the death of my cousin, I appreciated them.

I’ll try and attach a lovely picture that I did not take but shows just where I am, DD’s house is just behind the bridge ( if it appears!

Have a good day all.

Grammaretto that is a fabulous photo. I love the way The Plough is captured right in the middle.

Marydoll Sun 26-Nov-23 08:25:49

Mr & Mrs Corner, get well soon!

Baubles, DH sees my permanent hoarseness as a bonus and an excuse to say I never asked him to do anything. 😂 I hope you feel better soon.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Frost on the garden in South Yorkshire this morning and no sun in evidence. It was a lovely bright day yesterday. DS came down and managed to sit still long enough to eat a hot lunch before he went to the football, and then DD and the menfolk came over to go for a walk along the river, and stayed to have fish and chips for tea. Altogether a good day. Today will be a quiet one. I need to finish some writing and my knitting is pleading for attention.
Have the best Sunday you can, folks.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where there's a frost.
Last night we could see the Northern Lights from here for the first time in ages.
My df arrived late after a 10 hour train and bus journey from northern Scotland.
She's here for a memorial service. I lit the fire and cooked a simple meal. I hope she wasn't disturbed by my nighttime coughing.
I see you are still poorly Baubles. This virus is not nice.

I hope you didn't get too cold waiting for that bus gMattie
Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where its -1°C.

I am so pleased to hear your results are OK Susan, what a relief. Its not the most pleasant of procedures.

GG, isn't it a wonderful feeling have the wee ones in bed with you.
Dollie spent the whole of the Vigil Mass last night, cuddling into me. 💕. However, it may be nothing to do with loving her gran, but the fact that the heating was broken. I don't think I have ever been so cold in my life! 🥶

Yesterday's visit from Babydoll was delightful. However, I think she is a papa's girl. She follows his voice everywhere and when DS couldn't get her settled, she sat contentedly on DH's lap. She badly need a nap, so DIL had to walk her in the pram from Dollie's home, a half hour walk, to try and get her to sleep, while DS2 drove down. It didn't work, there was so much going on and she is an inquisitive wee soul. 😂

Yesterday, I received a new treatment plan from my rheumatologist, suggesting yet another type of biologics.
I'm unsure what to do, because they can be quite brutal and he couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't suffer similar.ar side effects as the previous two treatments. The bonus is that they are also supposed to help prevent heart issues from the RA.
I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Excrutiating pain or having nausea and BPPV. I may wait until after Christmas and then begin them.

I have to run down to church this morning after spending ages defrosting my car to prevent an issue escalating. I will need my diplomacy hat on! Whatever I do, will probably be wrong! 😉

Have a pleasant Sunday everyone and as always thinking of those who are struggling. 💐

Good morning all from a frosty North Leicestershire.

Bits and bobs to do today and a reassessment of the Christmas present situation. And keeping warm.

Have the best day possible everyone.

NannyJan53 Sun 26-Nov-23 08:18:13

Good morning from an icy, but overcast Black Country.

It was a very sunny but bitterly cold day yesterday. The car was still iced up at midday. Lovely lunch out with DD and the family and Mum. Mum finds it hard to join in conversations when in a noisy environment though. I struggle to sometimes.

Gym this morning, then baking this afternoon as I fancy making an orange marmalade cake. Probably ironing too!

Labadi0747 you may be better off starting your own thread regarding your question, as this is mainly a good morning thread.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Grandmabatty Sun 26-Nov-23 08:17:08

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 0°, frosty with grey skies. Susan good news for you! Baubles not so good for you. I hope your voice returns soon.
Today I'm looking after dgs2 for a couple of hours while dgs1 has yet another party. Sil is working. After that, I'll visit mum. So a fairly busy time. Have a good day all

Gingster Sun 26-Nov-23 08:16:13

Good morning and it’s a frosty one. 🥶.
DH is going pond clearing at his fishing club , he’ll be a couple of hours, then back home for a shower and spruce up for lunch out with DS1 and family for another birthday celebration. These birthdays seem to last a whole week these days. 🎂.

I’ll wrap up warm and walk little pooch, so she’ll be fine for the rest of the day.

I must buy some Xmas wrapping paper and start on the parcels. I know there’s some in the loft but can’t be bothered to get up there. Perhaps I’ll ask DS.

Susan a great relief for you 💐.

Take the day as it comes . 🍁🍂

brook2704 Sun 26-Nov-23 08:15:37

Good morning everyone from a cold and frosty Inverness
Pleased all went well yesterday Susan
No plans until later today when we’ll pick up DGS and bring him back for a sleepover. I’ll try to get a tidy up done in the garden too if it’s not too frosty.
Hope you feel better soon baubles
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope the day is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset.

Stereo coughing here as we both have covid. Mr C began on Thursday, I caught up yesterday. Thankfully Mr C’s fever has abated and he’s much steadier. I’ve had to catch a couple of times when his BP plummeted. So far I’m staying upright!

Disappointed that we’ve missed a day out to a Christmas market and more importantly needed to cancel tomorrows appointment at the heart valve clinic. We’re still worried in case we left covid with our Wonder Woman, she’s no sign at the moment so 🤞 all will be well.

Guess covid had to find us one day and of course it will pass. We’ve got lovely neighbours who will shop should we need it, for now it’s hibernation time.

Enjoy what you can of the day everyone.

RosiesMaw Sun 26-Nov-23 08:12:23

Good morning from N Bucks - cold here! A hard frost last night and not a lot of sun this morning.
Hmm, might be a Netflix day.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing “Passport to Pimlico” yesterday afternoon on BBC2. So many famous faces early on in their career.
Looking around there are various things which need doing, I may have to bite the bullet and procrastinate no longer.
But, then again, there’s my current book grin
Wishing you all a peaceful and pleasant day.

baubles Sun 26-Nov-23 08:08:44

Good morning, it’s cool and dry here in South Lanarkshire.

Nothing got done yesterday as I wasn’t feeling great. I’ve still got absolutely no voice which is annoying, I don’t think this has ever happened to me before.

I’ll go to Mass but will skip going to lunch as DH and I would have to sit in silence.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

merlotgran Sun 26-Nov-23 08:06:59

Good morning, everyone from a chilly south coast. No plans for today so I’ll prepare extra veg for lunch so there’s plenty for soup tomorrow. I’ll also make some gf bread to make full use of the oven. I was supposed to be dog sitting DD’s lovely old Jack Russell (Peggy’s brother) as they’re spending a weekend in London but sadly he had to be PTS last Thursday due to a tumour on his kidney. They’ll miss him but he had a lovely life.
Hope everyone has the best day possible.

Beechnut Sun 26-Nov-23 08:05:43

I’m also taking some of my decluttering stuff over to hers to clutter up her place 🤣

Alygran Sun 26-Nov-23 08:05:30

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Very frosty this morning.
Off the Church then a quiet day reading and knitting. I have a busy week coming up.
Good news Susan.
Have a good day everyone.

Beechnut Sun 26-Nov-23 08:04:14

Good morning everyone from Severnside. Cold and overcast.

I got on well with my Christmas card making yesterday. I am working to a theme this year with slight variations.
Today I’m spending with Beechnutella. We are going somewhere and then doing some crafting together later. I have to sort out a few bits to take.

Have a good day all 🌺

GrannyGravy13 Sun 26-Nov-23 07:54:08

Morning everyone 👋

I have two wriggly GC in bed, will read and post later 🙋‍♀️

Jaxjacky Sun 26-Nov-23 07:50:37

Morning from frost in S Hants, light rain due this afternoon. Good news Susan I remember that relief.
Yesterday was sunny but cold, I enjoyed a walk well wrapped up, read the paper and not a lot else.
Today we have a family lunch out, children/partners and grandchildren, we’re looking forward to it.
Enjoy your day, thoughts with those struggling.
🦩🦩

luluaugust Sun 26-Nov-23 07:49:33

Good morning from a chilly W Kent. I will be spending today making a start on the Christmas wrapping which takes ages now and perhaps some card writing. I feel very lazy about it all.
Best wishes to all

Pittcity Sun 26-Nov-23 07:40:49

Good morning from a frosty Colchester.Rain forecast for later. It was minus 1 when we got home from the wedding around midnight.
It was a fabulous do with marshmallow toasting, pizza a disco and a free bar. I had a couple of large G&T and feel a bit delicate this morning ( lightweight!)
I'm awake because DH, who had a few pints, is off fishing. I'm still in bed though and will probably stay here until the heating warms the house a bit.
I'll walk to Aldi to clear my head later
Roast chicken this evening.
Love to all 🦩 x

ginny Sun 26-Nov-23 07:23:28

Good morning all.
I can’t believe that the two DGSs ( 7 & 2 ) are still asleep! We did have a busy day yesterday.
Today , the eldest has rugby and little one will be running around te field nearby. Hot dogs afterwards and then we will pop over with them to see their Great Grandmother for a short while.
We’ll have an earlyish dinner and get them packed up for the return of their Mummy and Daddy.
A good day wished for everyone.

monk08 Sun 26-Nov-23 07:10:52

Good morning from the Black country where once again it's frosty.
Didn't sleep well last night don't know why but feel drained this morning need to get on though family coming for dinner.
Susan glad you had a positive result with your endoscopy.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
