Indulgences ... do you have one?

Similar, I went in a hotel and used some Kenneth Taylor Blue Tangerine hand cream, it’s a wonderful smell, my husband buys it for me now.
Also Chocolates, Thorntons especially

Moschino - their first, original fragrance (Italian). I’ve been wearing it for 45 years. Nothing else seems to appeal to my chemistry.

Since my children are grown and finances after 50 are better, we really do have many small indulgences.

I often generalize that we can afford the thick bacon now, one of many small luxuries.

Nicer face creams, nice dark chocolate (Lindt is my favourite), I don't wait for birthdays to buy a bottle of perfume if I like it.

Also, DH and I have stayed in some nice hotels when we go on vacation. Generally we spend some time visiting family, but then fit a few days into a nice hotel. If you are ever on Vancouver Island, Kingfisher Oceanside Resort is really lovely.

Fenjal cream wash for me. I’ve used it for at least fifty years ever since my mil introduced me to it. It was originally a bath oil, it’s still available, but I love the cream wash. I used to buy the talc too, but unfortunately it’s not in production anymore.

I love Bombshell dresses! I've got 8, usually bought in the sale. They are beautifully designed, made in England and so flattering. They always attract admiring comments and I feel a million dollars when I'm wearing one.

I love slicing a good quality white loaf, toasting a few thick slices, covering in quality butter and marmalade! Perfect with a fresh coffee!!

Violet and rose chocolates. Chocolate covered marzipan. Love all Christmas food, a dangerous time for me…

Children’s books, especially pop up books.

Clinique Aromatics Elixir. Favourite scent ever.

Familia Zuccardi Malamado Malbec fortified wine. I also like lemon marmalade. My favourite brand is 'Fortnum and Mason' as it tastes a bit sharp and has a good consistency.

My indulgences are Cashmire jumpers. My daughter worked at Whistles during uni and got a 50 % discount. But occasionally I do splurge on them at John Lewis .
My other indulgence is Diptyque candles , amber and baies. Gorgeous smells and lasts ages .

Omg , I’ve just googled them. The dresses are gorgeous and so flattering especially if you have boobs like me . I love that they use models with hips snd boobs .

@Urmstongran. Yeah I agree with you on Youth Dew, Poison is another one that's overpowering. I can never smell Aromatics on myself but my granddaughter always comments, I could smell your perfume Granny.

Yes, spray gently and infrequently Lomo123 because I think you’re right about not being able to smell it one oneself! Years ago I shared an office with an aficionado of Aromatics. By lunch break shed brush her hair, re-apply some lipstick and spritz more Aromatics about herself. Gawd, I could still inhale enough from the morning application - she really didn’t need a ‘top up’!

Mine is Bournville chocolate. The original and the old Jamaica ones.
As they cost me between $8-10 per bar, I don't get them too often and keep them hidden when I do.

My indulgence this winter has been Ritter coconut chocolate bars. They are square bar of milk chocolate filled with coconut in a pale blue wrapper. They are delicious and the coconut is moist. They cost about. £1.20

Ritter do a whole range and several with a festive theme but the coconut is divine. We share a bar most evenings.

I have resisted for months I told myself I hated Ritter chocolate especially coconut I was never going to buy any ever again until I read your message then I went straight on to Amazon and ordered a pack of 12, they are arriving tomorrow, it’s too late to cancel I shall just have to hide them and forget where 🥺

I’m in the cotton sheet camp, but I prefer a high thread count. Always got them in the House of Freezer sales, but have enough to keep me going. You can occasionally find the odd one at TK Max. I detest the ones with ‘sateen finish’. Why have wonderful pure coton then change the fresh crisp feel completely? I guess they are easier to keep. I only have white too, boring but I love it.

For the Ritter fans, I’m sure I’ve seen it in Lidl 🤔. Never tried it but will now!

L'Occitane soap, Clarins hand cream and Jo Malone perfume. My mother used to say to me " you're cheaper to keep a week than a fortnight " 😁

I love the Ritter yogurt chocolate bar in a white wrapper, the only place that have it is e bay then you have to buy 12 ! Please let me know if you see any.

Decent loose-leaf tea - and lots of choice!

Lots of different black teas from Fortnum and Mason (Royal, Queen Anne, Irish, Yunan, Lapsing, Duchy, Breakfast, Fortmason, Elderflower etc)
AND
lots of different of herby/fruit teas by Yogi, Celestial Seasonings, Pukka and some others.
AND
a couple of specific rooibos teas.

Then perfume. I like choice here too.
Different every day.

These are my big spending items but I do now only buy organic dairy products - and for 40 plus years have bought organic veg whenever it was affordable.
